Lantern Festival Festivities!
WHO: The Untamed Cast and friends (basically whoever wants to come, can!)
WHERE: The park in Jeopardy
WHEN: Afternoon/evening of January 8th
WHAT: Making and floating lanterns!
WARNINGS: Usual warnings that come with this cast (potential mention of necromancy, death, torture, etc)
Wei Wuxian can work hard when he chooses to, up to and including pooling together various lantern-making supplies for a number of people. Flexible pieces of bamboo. The lightest paper he could find. Enough paint and brushes for several people to work at the same time.
Tables and chairs? Only for those he knows might need a more comfortable place to sit while working, or observing, and there are some traditional Chinese treats as well that he's found. And alcohol, for those who wish to enjoy a small drink. (The juniors will be watched a bit more closely, though might get away with one drink each.)
He's sent out messages to those he doesn't see every day with the place and general time to start showing up who have either expressed an interest in coming, or he hasn't seen in a while and would like to again.
[OOC: This is designed to be a mingle post too! Tag around, make lanterns (there are instructions for those who want to make one but don't know how) enjoy the snacks and booze (but don't drink it allHux!]

"Ta, love."
With some difficulty, she manages to get both her lantern and her drink in one hand (hanging the lantern on her pinky finger is involved) so she can take her phone back and return it to her pocket. There will be time to check the photos later.
"January isn't New Year on every calendar," she adds.

"Oh? Alright, then." Shows what she knows. "Guess this place is a little more worldly than what I'm used to."
She nods by way of introduction, not wanting to make the other woman balance her items any more precariously than she already is for a handshake. "I'm Carol, by the way."

I OPENED THIS BUT FORGOT TO HIT SUBMIT I AM SORRY
"Where'd you get that beer?" Carol's feeling a little thirsty herself, and she always appreciates a good beer.
all g!
There's a twinkle in her eye as she says it - she's not an expert, but she doesn't think the Chinese food on here is all that 2020s specific (none of that weird fusion stuff).

She pops over to the food and drink table to grab a beer and also some kind of cooked meat and vegetable on a skewer, then returns to Chloe, munching on her new snack.
"So, lanterns. What are you going to do with that now that you have it? Hang it up outside your door?"
no subject
"Dunno, eh," she says thoughtfully. "That's what we did when I was little, but it looks like this festival might be more about floating them."
At least, judging by the occasional lantern in the sky.

Because what goes up must come down somewhere, right? These paper lanterns aren't going to make it to the stratosphere.
