Jeopardy 004; Roommates

Adam frowns, staring at the empty shallow glass bowl he hastily bought upon his arrival to Jeopardy. He stood in the kitchen, leaning up against the counter as he kept his distance from the bowl, hands bracing himself as he loses himself in thought. He could try and scry, see what he could find in the area where Henrietta should be, but who would spot him? He didn't know anyone, trust anyone to time him as he essentially allowed his soul to float free of his body.

He wasn't certain the risk was worthwhile when he could just drive there.

On the other hand, it would give him some closure that this wasn't actually a dream. He hadn't quite learned if he could scry within dreams (if he remembered this, he'd have to ask Ronan) -- it wasn't worth it. He sighs, dropping his hands to his sides as he goes to brew a cup of coffee.

"So." He starts to talk to himself, looking at the phone to scroll through the local network. "What was I like before?"

He'd really like to remember being here before.

Nonah;

He's found himself in Nonah to take a look at the university campus. If he's unable to go to Harvard (which he has yet to look up to see if it even exists) then the least he can do is see what the Porter city allowed. The ability to travel from one end of the country to the other in a short time was something he's not going to be able to get used to. Despite that, the mobility and technological advances (despite the architecture reminding him of the 1950's) have proved useful so far.

He stands at a bus stop, looking up at the map trying to figure out the best way to get to the university from where he is.

"Oh, excuse me. Do you live around here?" He manages to stop someone. "I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction."

De Chima;

So it was true: Henrietta didn't exist here. Adam found his way to the public library once he realized De Chima is in Virginia. Aglionby doesn't show up in an internet search, there's not Henrietta on a map of Virginia, and no matter where he's looked there's not even a reference to the city he grew up in or anything he knew in the surrounding areas.

He's not entirely sure how he feels about that.

He has to resist the urge to see if he can bring the dream motorcycle through the porter to drive. See it for himself, to actually know but he already knew the truth long before he thought to grab the motorcycle. There was no point.

Once he's returned the books, the maps (and paid for the scans), he stops by the community board, looking at the various flyers on the corkboard when his attention is drawn to the current events scheduled for the library.

"Hot or Not Import Meeting. Meet's nightly at 7PM." He reads out loud, sounding a little perplexed.

Tapering off with a chuckle, Xellos lifts a finger and gives it a little wag.

"That's a secret," he replies, ever pleasant.

Now he finally takes the cup offered him, giving it a sniff before just having at it.

"Oh, I suppose so!" It's a pretty nonchalant answer, as if living anywhere were a mere trifle. Honestly, that's what it is; he's a creature without a need for sleep or protection from the elements; all these amenities are just luxuries he can choose to indulge or forego.

"But if you have a need to use extra space, I've no issue sharing. It's not like I've been amassing belongings!"

It's less a sign of a priestly, ascetic lifestyle and more just forgetting where he puts the things he's given for free along his wanderings.
