"It would," Tina agrees. "It's kind of weird to not be the hero of the story here, so to speak, when we're told we're brought here for that purpose."

She turns the burger patty over, pressing it with her spatula.

"But we all have roles to play, regardless. Caring for other people in ways that don't involve saving the world and punching villains is heroic in its own way."
