golisolation: (who put a ghost in my poppers)

[Guzma's loyalty is an interesting thing. It can lead him to do some pretty terrible things, so long as he believes it's what the person he's being loyal to wants, and it'll get him what he needs in the end. At the same time, it can tap into his gentler side, the side he hides from everyone else, the side his more awful traits serve to protect.

There's an unfortunate twist to his gentleness, to his loyalty. To his focus. It becomes something a little too deep, hazardously so—to himself, and potentially others depending on the person. To the benefit of all, his attention is on Lucina, who is good in nature and kind, who won't take advantage of such loyalties to the detriment of Guzma and anyone else. However, that doesn't change the fact that Guzma will suffer a lot he otherwise wouldn't for her sake.

The hospital and the self-restraint is merely the beginning of his devotion.

That kiss warms him further, and the soft smile on his face does well to promote such. As she gets settled in besides him, holding his hand within her own, he feels a sense of peace wash over him, and so too does his sleepiness settle in. His eyes are fluttering closed when she hums and sighs, bidding him good night.

In his head he responded with words, but in reality it's more of a mumbled sound that more or less portrays the same message as he finally drifts off.]
