WHO: Lacey and Open!
WHERE: Any import city.
WHEN: End of October and Early November.
WHAT: Shadow and Element Plots.
WARNINGS: Probably none - possibly foul language.
A. Shadow Lacey and regular Lacey.
Lacey keeps her truly competitive side hidden. She's been this world for months now and learned that compared to other imports, she can't always measure up in the way she would in her regular, all human world. That part of her that feels she needs to be the best at everything or people won't like her, has been suppressed and emerges as shadow Lacey.
Shadow Lacey enters any contest she can. She wins at a few, such as cooking contests, a game of golf,a scrabble tournament, a round of cards. When she does, she's obnoxious, yelling "In your face" to the losers and cheering herself. At other contests, she loses - races, charades, a different round of cards. She's also a sore loser, claiming others cheated, insisting on another game and when that fails, she becomes mopey and withdrawn, convinced no one likes her.
At each of the shadow's outbursts, Lacey is around, often chasing her shadow and saying a simple "Sorry." With a time, she changes it to "She's not my fault." and eventually a frustrated "She's not me!"
B. Element Time - Ice Lacey - any park.
The normally optimistic Lacey is practically unrecognizable. In addition to pale blue skin and her hair turning white, she chooses to be alone and is depressed, cynical, nothing like her usual self. She sits in a park with her face shoved into a book. If it's a cold day, she's doesn't seem to mind. If someone were to approach her for any reason, she looks up and asks. "What do you want? I'm trying to read."
Once she's done reading, she begins to walk away. She stands at a crosswalk, sees the signal to cross and steps off of the sidewalk. A car runs a red light and nearly hits her. She's fine, unhurt, but looks tremulously sad at the incident. "I should have expected that. No one cares anymore. Nothing matters anymore."

Element Time
Which is probably why when the woman steps off the sidewalk with white hair and blue skin he thinks friend - or at least ally - but then she just stares after the car??
"Hey! You should go back over there and kick the car's ass!" The guy is blue, but he's keeping his wings hidden for the moment, pointing in it's direction, "Why are you just sitting there?! You're not...Oh."
Not the same team.
His arms cross over his chest, "What is wrong with you? Why are you so ...sad?"

"Sounds like a great way to break my foot or get run over."
She looks over at the man speaking. He's blue too. It makes her wonder why he doesn't feel the same emptiness or understand how pointless it would be to even try and chase the car down.
"Why not be sad?" She asks instead. "It's a sign of how the world is. No one follows the rules or gives a damn."
