The details have at last all been worked out, for another dinner (planned, this time), and this time Wanda's boyfriend will be there too. Erik knows nothing about him, so this has the potential to be an interesting dinner. Not least because he and Wanda are still getting to know each other, too.

Right at the appointed time, he's outside the door, with a plate of cookies floating behind him. In one hand he has a bottle of wine. He knocks on the door with the other.

Harry was there, helping cooking, and working on cleaning, mostly, and so he was close to the door to hear it when Erik arrived. Nervous did not begin to explain his feelings. Meeting the parent. He'd done that before, elsewhere, but this was... more.

"Wanda! Erik is here!" he called it out toward the kitchen, then headed through the living room.

He swallowed as he moved to the door, and unlocked it, then opened it. "Good evening, Mister Lehnsherr. Welcome." And he stepped aside, beckoning the man in as he offered a hand.

Wanda comes in the room a few seconds later, offering Erik a smile. "Hey, I'm glad you're here."

He steps inside and before Harry can close the door, it closes behind Erik seemingly by itself. "I brought dessert," he says as the plate floats in Wanda's direction, "and this," he adds, holding out the bottle of wine. Then he turns to Harry and shakes the offered hand. "It's Harry, right?"

Harry grins. That's cool. "Thank you for bringing dessert and wine." He smiles as he intones under his breath and swirling gentle wind lifts the wine bottle up and carries it to the kitchen where the food is.

As he shakes Erik's hand, he nods. "Yes. I'm called Harry Dresden. It's nice to meet you. I hope tyou got through the madness outside okay." Ghost trains, and zombies, and elemental magics, oh my.

Wanda starts making her way back to the kitchen, but not too quickly, and gently starts floating the plate of cookies with her magic. What? Everyone else is using powers right now, she may as well complete the set.

Outside is pretty fucked up right now; good thing they're inside, honestly.

"I've faced worse." Which is, of course, subjective, since some might consider some of the things he's faced not that bad. They were at least alive when he came across them.

"So is that a mutant ability or is that something else?"

Harry grins after Wanda, love in his eyes, then turns back to Erik.

"Magic. Which, in my world, is close to what is a mutant ability in yours, as I understand it. its genetic, and pops up randomly in the children of humans and wizards alike. It involves willpower-based manipulation of the laws of physics."

As he talks, he leads the way further in toward the dining room, where they can talk and include Wanda, who they can see in tegh kitchen from there.

In the kitchen, she floats the food over to the dining room where the places are already set, and takes a seat. "I'm biased, but different kinds of magic is always fun. Even if it winds up in something on fire." Not that she has ever done that, nope, not at all ever, stop looking at her like that.

"That does sound like mutations," Erik agrees, and he might need to start looking into various aspects of the multiverse some more. Especially those involving various powers, because this world obviously has a way of endowing powers on those who didn't have them before.

"At least accidental fires aren't something I've ever had to worry about."

Harry has nothing to say about accidental fires, which he obviously never has had any hand in, at all.

Harry grins. "Good. So what do you do here, in this weird world?" He settles to one side of Wanda, nodding, touching one of her hands, eyes warm as he looks at her, then his expression shifts to more neutral as he nods to Erik.

Wanda returns the touch and gives a half smile. "Weird is an understatement." She adds in.

They all come from worlds where mutations or magic exist, yet this is the weird one. He can't really argue with that. Especially considering a world with mutants in it is normal to him.

"I teach science." Which would probably surprise some people he knows, but it works.

"This place loves its weirdness."


"Really? Nice! I teach a few different subjects, over at H.O.P.E., a school for Imports in Heropa." Harry nods, very happy with his current job, even if he is pursuing Medicine. Slowly.

"Does it suit you?"

"Thrives off of it." There's a lot of diversity in jobs at the table, at least. Wanda's mouth is now full of delicious food, so she'll just have to not talk more for a second.

"I've heard of that place. I saw it when I arrived." He'd been a bit concerned about it then, but he's seen nothing concerning about it since then. But at least now he's met someone who knows something about it.

"It's not a job I would have thought of for myself, but I'm content with it for now." It gives him a chance to learn more about things he never had the chance to learn before, either.

"These days, with the help of a native administrator, I keep it running, trying to help those of us who come here either younger than legal age, or just in need of some education on how this world works. I try to, anyway. Its new to me."

Taking a bite, he nods, knowing he has a lot to learn, yet. Erik speaks, and Harry listens.

"I'm glad you found something like that here."

He grins as he eats between talking.

"Wanda, here, keeps me steady."

"I've been here almost four years and I sometimes feel like I know less and less about this place." At least some of them here are in education fields.

About the last comment though: "I try, you mean. I don't know if 'steady' is a word I would use, but..." She teases.

"What's it like, working with the natives?" He knows they're around, but he doesn't tend to interact with them much. He knows that some are fine with imPorts and some are not, and he'd rather not find out which is which.

"I know that feeling, Wanda. Everything seems to change, a lot."

He grins then nods to Erik.

"I've had little trouble, and in fact, have found them almost too helpful, too ready to work hard for me. I sometimes have to remind them that I don't want them working themselves into the ground." The whole being a celebrity thing is weird.
