WHO: Anakin & SnipsAhsoka
WHERE: Their new home!
WHEN: Possibly a bit backdated because I'm awesome.
WHAT: House warming stuff.
WARNINGS: Cute. Lots of cute. Also sadness.
"Come inside, it's alright..." Anakin sounded uncharacteristically calm and for good reason! He had two surprises for Ahsoka and while one of them looked unsure, the other ran into the house, investigating with their little nose.
"Good girl, Merry. This is your new home." he rubbed the mother dog's ears, crouching down to her level, "Caia and you are safe, I promise. And you'll love Snips."
Finally, with Anakin's reassurance, Merry followed her tiny daughter inside, sniffing every corner. Chuckling, Anakin moved to the kitchen to set up the food and water bowls. His expression fell slightly, however, once the task was done. Nothing in these damn cities was ever easy - or fair - but at least he had some good news to balance out the bad.
Then again, Ahsoka might already know.

The front door opened and Ahsoka heard him come home...talking to someone? Faint presences in the Force had her curious enough to come out, heading for the kitchen where she heard Anakin.
Only to smile softly and slowly kneel to offer a hand to the sweet pups. "Hello little ones. Welcome home." Because it didn't take the Force to tell her where the dogs would be living.
SO LATE I'M SORRY MY BODY SUCKS.
The two retrievers sniff and kiss her hand, tails wagging. Anakin joined the trio, chuckling as he lifted Caia so she could reach Ahsoka's face for more kisses.
"They've wanted to meet you for weeks! This is Merry and her daughter Caia."
Your body is a jerk ;;
She laughed when the pup was lifted up to lick her face and ruffled soft ears. "Where'd you find them?" Still chuckling, eyes crinkling warmly at him.
Seriously. My jaw D:
He really couldn't allow that. So he had spent time with both of them, playing and feeding and even giving them a bath. They grew attached to him over time and, since moving, he knew the house was big enough for both of them - even as little Caia grew.
"The shelter." he kissed Caia's cheek before setting her down again. She shook her fur and toddled up to her mother for kisses.
"They wanted to separate them. Adoption was almost assured for Caia since she's a puppy, but not for Merry." he sighed and pulled Ahsoka into his arms, "Family shouldn't be split up."
/bubblewraps!
But the mention of separating families had her frown and she didn't need any coaxing to settle into his arms, wrapping hers around him firmly. "They won't be separated now. We'll take good care of them." It was one sore spot about the Jedi Order. She didn't regret having been taken from her home world by Master Plo, but...was that only because she'd found a bigger family?
"Family is important."
/curls up in it
Anakin felt like he could breathe when he held her too. Ahsoka had the same sort of effect on him as the animals - except on a much deeper level. She understood without him having to put anything into words.
"You've got me, Snips." always.
/adds puppies
She snuggled into his arms, tucking her head against his shoulder. He didn't have to tell her everything. Just the important things. And she'd poke them out of him if she needed to.
"Good, because I'm not letting you go again."
/hugs them allll
He grinned and held her a bit tighter, kissing the top of her head. The most important thing to him, currently, was finding peace. If he could stay calm and think through his emotions, he was much safer for everyone - including himself.
"I would be upset if you did. But I wouldn't blame you, either."
