WHO: Xion and YOU!
WHERE: Heropa #004, Heropa school, out and about
WHEN: All October
WHAT: The multiverse is falling apart what else is new.
WARNINGS: Identity crisis, talk of dead friends, Potentially triggering characters by appearing as missing loved ones.
SCHOOL.
The world might be falling apart, but that really feels like nothing new. Something is always happening here, and Xion's sort of become accustomed to some crazy nonsense every other day. This feels a little more... extreme than usual. And school is sort of a comforting routine, even if it is often boring and confusing.
Still, she goes. Even if she's a touch solitary. Her hood is usually up in the halls, and in class she hides behind a book. It's not that she doesn't speak when spoken to, but she sure doesn't like people looking at her.
Want a study buddy? She's in the library catching up on some overdue projects. Want a gym partner so you aren't left standing there all by your lonesome? She'll approach with a tentative smile - hoodless, because she can't really get away with that when there's going to be a lot of running - and ask if you'd like to be partners.
Or maybe you're witnessing her locker with the terrible sticky lock get popped open by being gently thwapped with a giant key. Honestly? That's probably why it won't open. But the key vanishes in sparks of light and she helps herself to her books.
WORK.
Dog-walking is a different story, though. Dogwalking is where she actually shows some more enthusiasm. Or terror? Terror is also a possibility. Those dogs are strong and they're very keen to show how fast they can run - which really isn't great for a short teenage girl. She's getting better at it than before, though, asserting herself when the dogs try to yank her too far ahead.
They're pretty eager to get to know what's in your pockets, though. Are those dog treats? Hmmm, well if they weren't then they are now.
"Brutus, no!" The big dog pulls away, but shoots a begging look up at the victim of his attempted threat. Xion winds the leash around her hand and pulls him back and away. "I'm sorry, he's still learning his manners."
HOME.
Pumpkin carving is a tradition around here this time of year, sure. The rescue gifts her a pumpkin when they hear she's never had a Halloween before, and Xion can be found sitting at the table contemplating its weird orange existence. Glancing between that and the 'carving sheet' she was given with absolutely zero understanding of how she's supposed to make this appear on a pumpkin.
In the very least, there's a plate of pumpkin spice cookies sitting on the table. Those are a free for all.
GHOST TRAIN.
The streets are usually a lot livelier on the way home from work. Xion's well accustomed to running into strangers en route, but there's hardly a soul out here tonight. A long lanky body and a flash of red hair out of the corner of her eye catches her attention just as she's about to turn down the way from her regular bus route, eyes widening.
"... Axel?"
He doesn't answer. But she's positive that it has to be.
"Axel!"
Xion breaks out at a run. The specter is faster. The chase lasts a lot longer than she thinks it should and by the time she catches up, he's already stepping onto the train. The girl braces herself against a pillar, out of breath and panting. Someone says all aboard and she pushes herself upright, a determined expression on her face. The train scarcely tracks as something that should be unusual.
Stop her? Join her?
SHADOW.
The forecast didn't call for fog.
Not that the forecast is something she checks often, but it surely didn't call for fog so thick she can scarcely see the hand in front of her face. Something bizarre is going on - more bizarre for even this place - but without Dark Corridors, she's stuck walking.
There's something lurking in the fog. Just a few paces behind. Anyone watching can see it, and she can surely feel it - but it stays hidden. Watching, waiting.
It's not yet time for her to play her part.WILDCARD.

AXEL!
[He doesn't wait to think it over. He runs after his friend, but Axel doesn't seem to hear him, and he's suddenly so much farther away. Roxas follows him through the dark, onto a train, and there are other people around but he doesn't care about any of them, he doesn't know them, except—]
Xion?
no subject
[ Relief immediately spreads across her face. Not being stuck alone here means everything. The train car feels quiet and peaceful despite so many people being around. It only takes a split second to turn to Roxas, and then back around. The redhead has disappeared into the crowd. ]
Did you see him? I just saw Axel!
