WHO: Anakin and Obi-Wan
WHERE: Obi-Wan's house.
WHEN: After Luke's death.
WHAT: I SENSE A DISTURBANCE IN THE FORCE.
WARNINGS: One PO'd father.

He doesn't need to question that something is very, very wrong; the moment his son's life is cut short, Anakin is on the move. He abandons the job he had been doing - there will be repercussions for that later - and runs to his Master's home. His heart is thudding so hard in his chest that he feels like he is going to be sick. The entire building will tremble as he desperately searches for Obi-Wan.

"Master!" his voice breaks and his vision swims. He falls against a wall and grits his teeth, his fists clenched at his sides. The house will shake harder as if it is being visited by a quake.

"Luke... Where is Luke?" and why is there an empty space where he should be?

He can feel the shaking through the Force long before it actually hits the apartment. Both of which is nothing short of alarming. He also didn’t need to guess who it was coming from. It was as plain as day, and so was the reason.

So he was somewhat prepared when Anakin came bursting in. Meeting him mere moments after he comes through the door and placing his hands on his shoulders urgently.

“Anakin, you must calm yourself,” he implored. “I was just about to contact you.”

“Come, sit down first,” Obi-Wan says gently while keeping a hand on one of his shoulders and leading Anakin to a sofa in the living room.

Once they’ve sat, the Jedi keeps his voice soft and tries to choose his words carefully.

“There was... an incident,” Obi-Wan began.

“Luke is here. He’s in my room as we speak. But he was mortally wounded.”

There was a moment of silence as Obi-Wan hesitates in his reply.

“It’s not a matter of a who as a what. Some creature that has appeared recently.”

He lets Anakin take that in before he continues.

“He’s here. That is, his body is here. It will take some time for him to revive.”

Which is his roundabout way of telling Anakin he’s dead. A more gentle way that hopefully doesn’t have him going off the rails.
