WHO: Damian, any interested roommates + some closed starters
WHERE: MF 002
WHEN: The day after the full moon.
WHAT: Sometimes there's a raptor in the house, and then it turns into your apologetic new roommate.
WARNINGS: n/a
[ Unit 002 in Maurtia Falls probably saw a bit of chaos last night — it feels like a safe guess, going by the mess Damian sees the next morning. What a party to have missed.
At some point in the morning, after the moon has officially set, an unfamiliar naked guy creeps out of whatever room they'd managed to lock the creature into. Maybe you catch him wandering the house wearing only a well-placed couch pillow, looking guilty, or maybe you catch him after he's dug up his clothing from where ever he managed to stash it before the change shredded it.
After he's dressed and sorted himself out, he'll head straight for the kitchen to see what the coffee situation is, and promptly make enough for a small army. He's going to need coffee today. Otherwise he can be found about the house, the sudden new guy, awkwardly helping to clean up whatever needs cleaning up.
Not much he can do about the giant scratches down the inside of one of the bathroom doors, though. Sorry about that one, guys. ]

for David, few days later
He's settled into a quiet corner of the coffee shop, once again with two coffees and a plate of pastries before him. The job doesn't pay that well, but with a copied power like the one he's got his hands on, financial possibilities are swiftly opening before him. He doesn't mind the small splurge in the slightest. ]

So he agrees, and he shows up, as impeccably dressed as before, and in gloves once more. He arrives and smiles thankfully over the coffee as he sits.]
So? Adjusting well? Looking to pick my brain for more tips about settling in? Or looking to see if, now that Registration has passed, whether I’ve thought about your offer?
[Because Marco’s words have definitely gotten to him enough to believe that this isn’t that the guy actually wants to spend time with him.]
no subject
I thought I might start with hello, how have you been, that kind of thing. If that's okay with you. We could do it your way, too.
no subject
Hi, Damian. How have you been? And can you forgive a guy for being a cad? Really frustrating tutoring students this afternoon. There was a rich brat that expected me to do his work for him.
[Completely accurate, if not entirely why his mood isn’t the sweetest.]
no subject
I've been slightly less lost than I was last time you saw me, thanks for asking. [ He adds a sympathetic cant to his head. ] Long day for Professor Alleyne though, huh? Should this coffee be something a little stronger?

Ahsoka held out a sack with a healthy sized bag of coffee beans, sugar, and a variety of flavors she'd been told all about.
"You look a bit better today."
no subject
"I'd hope so," he says, low, almost a mutter.
He'd made a point of at least introducing himself to anyone he'd run into the other day, ever his chatty and cheerful self. Today sees him subdued, faded. The act is always hard to keep up when he's this tired. But he sighs, rubs his neck, and makes an attempt.
"Sorry." His averted gaze finds Ahsoka again. "Are you ... alright? Not hurt, or anything?"
no subject
"You don't have to pretend to be okay," she informed him, making a point to be as gentle and nonthreatening as possible.
"You didn't hurt me."
no subject
"That's good," he says, moving aside to allow access to the cupboards he'd found the coffee in. "It would be a terrible way to introduce yourself to a new roommate."

Curious that the crashing stopped close to sunrise, and even curiouser that there's now a random naked guy sneaking around. Almost like the two things might be connected! But honestly it could just be a random naked guy in their house, Cass doesn't question these things too hard.]
Now that's a walk o' shame if I ever saw one. [Comments the bemused vampire, mug of coffee in one hand and a half smoked cigarette in the other as he watches from the hallway.]
no subject
Pretty much.
[ He turns more toward him, his usual collection of scars on full display, a bruise already forming at his ribs, and a black eye about where Cassidy may have gotten a punch or two in. He's too tired even to muster a smile. ]
Hello. I'll be a little less naked in a moment if you'd like to table this for a bit.
no subject
[His grin is a toothy one as he goes for a slow slurp of coffee, sparing a slow glance up and down at the battered body before him. Can't miss an opportunity to check out a mostly naked dude, even if it is just to check out his wounds.]
You got some lying around here, or you looking to borrow some? I got spares, if you need.
[Although it looks like Cassidy could probably do with some new spares judging by his weirdly matched and poorly fitting outfit.]
no subject
No, it's fine — unless it got to them, I have clothes.
[ His disappears into the bathroom, leaving the door open just enough to facilitate conversation. It's a wreck in there, scratches everywhere, but at least he'd managed to hide his clothing well enough in a pull-out draw that it's safe. With a sigh, he starts dressing. ]
I'm your new roommate, by the way. And this won't happen again.

So she just stands in the doorway a second, lit cigarette in one hand, backpack full of last nights rewards slung haphazardly over the other shoulder, taking in the sites.]
Christ, ya'll have a lover's brawl while I was out?
no subject
Also, is this Tulip? This seems like Tulip. Maybe best to be careful with this one.
There's just a couple seconds too long before he answers, conclusion finally reached. ]
Coffee? [ He offers out the cup he's just poured, intended to be his. ] Fresh-brewed.
no subject
[She is apparently unsurprised at a new person just standing in her kitchen, making her coffee. Tulip plonks the bag onto the kitchen table and takes a cup black, ready for the caffeine to help her scare off sleep for a few more hours.]
The one night stands don't usually make breakfast. What's your story?
no subject
[ Please, who does she think he is banging! Hopefully not Cassidy. What a terrible first impression. His face says it all, but he waves off the rest of his words. ]
I'm a new roommate. And I, ah ... [ For once, he has no idea how to explain himself. There's no rehearsed speech for apologizing about the destruction you caused last night to your new roomie. He glances away. ] I'll get this cleaned up.

Ran straight into a naked man slipping out of the room.
He'd caught glimpses of the guy before, but they'd never spoken.
Now, Alex was sure there hadn't been anybody in that room when they trapped the creature in there, so who-- how-- what-- ]
Where're your clothes?
[ Not the question he'd intended to ask. ]
no subject
Bathroom, I think. [ Right? He thinks that's where he'd originally locked himself in, but he's so tired this morning. He drops a glance to the couch a few steps behind Alex. ] Toss me a cushion?
[ A pair of pants would be nicer, but he'll take what he can get right now. ]
no subject
Then he realises why the man is asking for a cushion, and grabs the throw over the back of the couch as well, and tosses that. There. Fabric. Better? ]
You... uh... You don't look too hot. I know we ain't got a med bay, but we should prob'ly get some ice on that shiner of yours.
[ He can ask about the monster after. ]
no subject
I've woken up to worse. [ Still kind of sucks, though! But, priorities: he glances around, brow knitting faintly. ] Bathroom ... upstairs, right? The one with the tub.

for the nasty man
He pauses inside the front door, already hit with the smell of weed. No one in sight, though, and the couch looks empty from here. Since Alex and Ahsoka seem pretty out, he hazards a safe-feeling guess: ] Cassidy?
[ but where?? ]
idk a nasty man so i just tagged with this guy
When he hears the arrival of company he perks up, sucking down a slow toke before responding with a lazy but cheerful;] Yeah, in here.
["In here" meaning the lounge where his voice is coming from. Maybe he's just sprawled low in that couch? Or maybe there's a scrawny, patchy furred looking raccoon watching television while his dexterous little fingers curl around a comically large joint.]
yeah he'll do
... That.
He stares blankly for a good few seconds, trying to make sense, trying to decide what the fuck, before he finally allows himself a bewildered furrow to his brow. That was definitely Cassidy's voice. That is definitely Cassidy's joint. This has to be some weird thing about being here, right? Weird things happen sometimes, he's heard about them — he's seen them, with the singing. It's gotta be. ]
Were you always so hairy?
no subject
Nah, just forgot to shave this mornin'. [He replies with bared teeth that may be a raccoon's attempt at a grin. There's more space on the couch without Cassidy's usual lanky frame taking up most of it, and so he doesn't even have to move over when he offers out the space to Damian, tapping a paw onto the space by him in invitation. He likes the company.]
