ANY ▸ trying to find a new distraction, wanna make it last all night
Tonight is less about business, however, than it is about pleasure; tonight is an opportunity to see how the other half lives, to live among them, and indulge in their offerings... or maybe it's just a chance to take her mind off of every other thing going on. You'll find her -- as expected -- near the bar, a drink in her hand. She's wearing green, her black ear-length hair slicked back as to draw attention to the impressive amount of ice dangling from her ears. She seems bored, her drink nearly empty, and maybe that's to your benefit. Get her while her guard is down. ]

He smiles as he sees her, and heads in her direction, grabbing an extra drink as he passed a waiter and stepping up to her, offering one drink.
"Evening, Miss Kyle. Drink?" He is very glad to see someone he knows.

And it shouldn't surprise her, really, the Queens have money; they'd practically built Seattle the same way the Waynes built Gotham. It's just that the Oliver Queen she's familiar with -- in the broadest sense of the word -- seems more interested in playing Robin Hood, taking cross-country road trips, and applying mustache wax than he is in schmoozing with a bunch of blue bloods. She's still getting a sense for this one.
"Mr. Queen," she replies in acknowledgment, lifting her glass. She hadn't even noticed the glass was almost empty. "I'd love one, actually."

He gives her a small smile, eyes on hers. "You're looking lovely tonight." He glances around, then shakes his head. He considers her, with a thoughtful look. She is a mystery to him, an enchanting and attractive mystery, but yes.
"I hadn't thought to see anyone I knew here. Not among this crowd, anyway." He should not be surprised, not with the amount of influence and notoriety Imports carry.

NONAH ▸ i don't know about you, miss kitty...
It becomes part of her routine: she checks in on the cats and leaves out food for them, often finding an excuse to stay longer just to play with the kittens or get in on some of those sweet kitty kisses. She brings toys, of course, and pulls treats from out of her pockets, offering them to her feline friends. ]
Now, now. There's enough for everyone.

They seem fond of you.
[She's already slowly bending to pet the cat, though she's ready to freeze the instant one shows signs of fleeing from her presence.]
no subject
Oh, we're old friends.
[ She's been coming here almost as long as she's been in this place. The feline manipulation certainly helps, but she's earned a lot of trust and affection with these little guys. ]
Are you lost?
no subject
I was just walking around without a destination in mind.
[Which isn't the full truth, but is as close as Kira can explain. Walking around randomly made it easier to avoid certain people in Kira's world. She's using the same practices here just in case.]

ANY ▸ if i die, i'm a legend
If this is the first time you've met up, she's going to want to go over some basics -- she isn't interested in teaching anyone how to fight and she doesn't want to be held back. She wants to get her claws into something -- someone -- and really dig them in, and let's be honest, she's kind of into getting tossed around a little bit. If this is the second or third time, well, what are you waiting for? ]
no subject
She's tied her hair back into a bun away from her face, and is stretching in anticipation of a good fight. Well. She hopes it will be a good fight. She doesn't know what this Selina woman is capable of, but she doubts she will present a real challenge. ]
I accept your terms. But the question is... Do you want me to hold back?
no subject
It has its annoyance, if only because Selina isn't interested in proving herself all over again to a bunch of strangers and nobodies, but hey. It has its amusement, too.
She slides her fingers beneath the strap of her bag and lifts it over her head, discarding it -- nothing fragile, just a change of clothes and her work clothes stashed away in a hidden compartment. ]
Why don't you show me what you've got. We'll go from there.

Once the display is over, she lets the light dissipate, touching back down onto the ground. ]

She picked this gym because it's one of the only one around with a proper boxing ring. Not that she really care where she spars — makes little difference to her, really — but people seem to prefer this kind of setting. Maybe it seems more civilized than, say, an abandoned parking lot or some filthy back alley.
Back in her day, they just fought out in the fucking dirt and weeds. But then again, she's old school. Ancient, even. ]

And that's the appeal, here. Channeling one thing into another. It's a different kind of anger and sadness, but it's all bubbling beneath the surface. She needs this. She needs to tear into something and feel some other kind of hurt for a little while. ]
I was wondering whether or not you'd actually show up. It's not a bar, but hey, if you're still standing, maybe we could go get a drink after this.
[ There's a smirk on her face as she glances up at her would-be opponent, blindly winding a hand wrap around her knuckles. (Look, it's not being prissy, it's being practical. She's a thief and she has the fine precision of a world-class surgeon, you always protect the hands.) ]
I'll even buy.

Coming over to meet Selina, she leans on the ropes as she idly watches the other woman wrap her hands. Andy hasn't bothered with that, but why would she? She regenerates — that's her little party trick — and she's never been afraid of a little blood. This bitch is almost seven thousand years old now, and her cursed healing means she'd seen her own insides enough times to be practically numb to it. ]
I have some manners. I wouldn't keep a lady waiting. [ She offers Selina a hand up into the ring, if she wants. Wryly: ] Especially not a lady that said she'd wipe the floor with me.

She's itching to train.
Dressed in a tight fitting tank shirt and leggings with her hair pulled back tight. A staff at her back - she stretches, even meditates for a few minutes before she starts circling one of the training dummies. The Force strums around her and a few hits in and she decides she'd rather face off against someone who can fight back. ]
ahhh my apologies, my rp motivation has been LOW -- trying to get back to business as usual!
She takes a break, falling back and settling against the back wall as she digs in her bag for her water bottle and takes a swig from it when the girl catches her eye -- she has good form, and there's an impressive amount of strength behind her strike. She observes her for a moment, then calls out to her, curious to see if she might like to join her-- ]
Hey, Ponytail -- you bruise easily?
[ Well, that's one way of doing it. ]
no worries /also slow and trying to get into the swing of things
Who didn't understand, how could he when he had yet to live through the events as she had?
Wiping her hair out of her face, she holds the bag in place as Selina calls out to her.
Stretching, shaking out her fists, she looks over the other woman. ]
I can handle a few bruises.

Different set of rules for bats and birds; I've fought you all before, even if not the same, exact you. I just didn't want to have to explain the whip and claws or -- worse -- have to hold back.
Keep 'em.
WILDCARD ▸ while you stalling, i'm evolving.

he stares at the cursive on the front of the envelope and plays with the closed flap, hesitating until he pulls off the band-aid and opens it. she's timed it well-- a glance at the window and the orange, setting sun beyond it gives him just enough time to get "dressed" and make it to the rooftop. he lands quietly out of habit, though he reminds himself again that she probably already knows he's there. ]
I got your letter. [ a pause. ] Cat.
no subject
I'd be surprised if you hadn't. [ A pause, mimicking him. ] Bat.
[ She makes a sharp turn on her heel, facing him now as she hops down from the wall. She covers all those prickly, raw nerves with cool and casual as she saunters across the roof to meet him. ]
For the record: if you had sent a cheese plate, I would have tracked you down and decked you.
