A // SCIENCE IS LEARNED BEST BY DOING // Closed to David
Jane, so far, had been settling into the role as ‘professor’ … sort of alright. She is still getting the hang of making decent tests and planning a class before she teaches it, but where she is really shining is the labs. Mostly because she is applying everything that she wishes her own teachers and professors did more of (and less of in some cases).
Today’s demonstration is going to be interesting, because while they have only started the topic of gravity, she figured that dropping an apple on the ground is a little boring. So, why not use her own powers? Why not have her students record what happens and figure out the changes she is making? See if she is just making something up or if she is replicating the gravity of another planet or moon, as they discussed the last meeting?
She is also excited because she has invited David to see, as he was curious about her powers and it really sounded like he needed to be around more people his own age. As all of her students are of the upper college levels, he should be fitting right in.

Besides at the school, Jane also practices at home and in a nearby park. In a clear field, far away from the playground so kids don’t accidentally get caught up in her experiments, she has a number of objects, ranging from a pencil to a thick textbook. She will be working on endurance, lifting the objects as long as she can without breaking into a sweat or headache.
And, of course, writing everything down, because what was she? An amateur?
Feel free to ask her questions, break her concentration, get caught up in the gravitational manipulation, anything really!

Watching a remake and not knowing about the original, honestly. What was the world coming to? Watching the original was essential! It either made you appreciate the remake (if it was better or more interesting or something) or it made you appreciate the original more (if it sucked). She was not surprised that Peter did not know about VHS tapes, given how young he was, but she was sure he would appreciate DVDs and digital downloads more when he saw them.
Still, finding a good chunk of the original Twilight Zone—and some of her favorite episodes—on any format was absolutely brilliant. Sure, they didn’t come out until the late 60s in her world and it was supposedly the 50s here, but she was not questioning this.
She also had to admit that she was eager to see Thor. When she was dropped into this place, he had landed on her patio just a few days ago, apparently deciding to stay on Earth as opposed to Asgard. She did not doubt his intentions, but she had a feeling that one way or another, something would draw him back to outer space and all it encompassed. She just hoped that this time, she would be able to go with him and not get possessed by something.
“Peter?” she asked, knocking on their front door. “It’s Jane! I brought the videos!”

Jane was starting to feel a throb in her temples, but she was not letting up.
She had no idea what was going on. This was like some really bad, cheesy B movie and it was getting on her nerves how these little gargoyle like things kept coming back.
Like mosquitoes, but worse.
“Ugh!” she yelled, blasting some more away from her by creating a gravitational field around her and pushing as hard as she could. She would figure out the math later.
E // WHISPER, WHISPER, WHISPER // 09-10-2019 // Open
“Oh … god …”
Whatever that sound was, whatever it was coming from, Jane wanted no part of it. Everyone who could was running from the bridge and—
“No!”
She ran as fast as she could. She had no idea how far her powers would stretch, but she would do her best to catch the two people who had just jumped. Hopefully, she would not be caught in the clutches of whatever Lovecraftian horror was hiding in the shadows.

Fall is a wonderful time of year! New constellations are on the rise, people are starting to incorporate more pumpkins and cinnamon into everything, and finally, the horror that is heat and humidity is starting to die like it should.
