[ Crowley almost never goes shopping - he doesn't have to. Anything he wants or needs, he can miracle into existence. It's the angel who, long ago, decided that human-made items were somehow better. Some nonsense about how quirky their little mistakes are, or whatever.

The thing is, he collects books. With typesetting errors. Specifically, Bibles with typesetting errors. Since the invention of the printing press, there have been all sorts, and Aziraphale just loves getting his hands on them - the weirder, the better.

Which brings Crowley to a dusty little shop that sells books and other occult paraphernalia - if he can't find a weird Bible, maybe he'll find a book of prophecy that's unique to this dimension, which would be just as good!

"Good" in the sense that Aziraphale would like it, and he doesn't even have to pretend he's doing something other than trying to buy a gift for his... well. Lover? That's sort of what they are now.

Either way, he is both disappointed and unsurprised to find another demon present in this particular shop. ]

Planning to summon someone?

[ He says it lightly, conversationally, not even looking up from his perusal of the bookshelves. ]
