Seeing as he had no transportation of his own, walking was usually the way it went for him.
He may come to regret this was just as he was arriving, a strange anomaly decided to occur. The Jedi suddenly finding himself in a downpour, but not if the usual kind. In fact he and everyone else outside was being pelted by glittering red crystals that happened to be falling from the sky.
Having been caught out in the open, Obi-Wan made a dash for the nearest place he could find for shelter.

She was just arriving in that part of De Chima when the 'storm' began. It wasn't the first time, something similar had happened before, but that didn't make it any less problematic. The cafe was a few blocks away and the crystals thwacking against the roof of her car convinced her that she didn't want to be out there for very long. Clearly, everyone already out in the storm had similar ideas because everyone in sight began dashing for cover. Everyone, including—
Quickly undoing her seatbelt, Rogue flung open the door and half climbed out to wave and get the man's attention. "Obi-Wan! Over here!"

Thoughts of that had currently left his mind though as he pulled up his hood to try and shield his head a bit from the falling crystals. A few of them sliding under his tunic without his notice in the process.
Rogue's shout though was enough to get his attention and Obi-Wan soon came running her direction. He didn't waste any time. Pulling open the door to her car and ducking inside to escape the torrent, closing the door quickly behind him.
"The weather forecast certainly said nothing about this today," he quipped while shaking some crystals out of his clothing. The sparkling red rocks falling into the floorboard of the car. Bending down, he picked one up to look it over.

"No, it sure didn't," she agreed with a grin, watching him shake out the crystals and then choose one to examine. She hadn't yet done that herself but she'd also never been that skilled in geology either. "This isn't the first time this has happened. Yesterday, there were green ones that came down."

So he was fortunate enough not to get caught in that. More fortunate than he probably realized as he would not have found it pleasant to lose his powers.
“Who would have thought it would happen again? Strange things are happening all too often as of late.”
This said as he closely examined the crystal, a bit of a frown coming to his face.
for hux;
The sight of Hux in that hospital bed would haunt Rogue until the last of her days. Her dearest friend in this universe, the man who had never feared her, who had given her a home when she needed it most, just lying there... What had been done to him would haunt her nightmares from that day forward, she had no doubt. And despite the sins of his past, he didn't deserve it. No one deserved this.
Perhaps that's why she'd hardly stopped holding his hand since those first hours in the hospital. Or perhaps it was the deep-set fear of what would have happened if his attacker had succeeded and she'd lost him forever.

He slowly opened his eyes as the haze started to fade. He hated the pain medication that made him unable to think clearly or remain conscious, he hated the thought of just laying around when he should be out of bed. It took him a moment to realize someone was once again holding his hand, turning to see Rogue there. He wondered how long she had been sitting there, he remembered Klaus being there and had heard her voice once in a while.
"I'm fine, I'm sure they'll let me out of bed soon," he said, his voice rough. "At least, as soon as they stop giving me so much pain medication." His shoulder and side where Bodhi had twisted the knife still hurt more than anything he had experienced in his life but he wasn't going to show it if he could help it.

And then he spoke to her and she breathed a little easier.
"They'll stop giving you so much pain medication when you stop needing it, sugar," she told him with a tired smile, reaching up to smooth back his hair in another assurance for them both. For herself, that he was alive. For him, that he wasn't alone.

"Did anyone mention when I can eave?" he asked, not pulling his hand away from hers. It didn't feel unpleasant though he wasn't sure why that was. "I could do with some coffee and something to eat that isn't hospital food."

"Without factoring in the nanites, I'd say you probably have a few days to go," she guessed, letting go of his hand to stand and move to the side of the room where a few extra pillows were stashed. "But someone will be by soon to give you a better estimate. Here, let me help you before you tear your stitches."
Carefully avoiding the wound on his shoulder, she slid an arm under his back to lift his weight long enough to wedge one pillow and then two under him. Then she moved the bed's remote to within his reach. "This adjusts the bed if you want to be more upright."

"I'm used to bacta and medical droids taking care of things like this in an afternoon," he said as he settled down. He had never been shot before, however, so this was a new experience. "I don't suppose I could get some coffee and actually something decent instead of the bland stuff they give me," he asked. He wasn't sure if he could take a few more days in the hospital without losing his mind.

"I will not leave the bed," he finally said after a moment. He still felt too lightheaded to go very far anyway and he wasn't sure how long he had been in bed. He doubted he would be steady on his feet at the moment.

"Okay then," she agreed after her own moment of consideration. "I'll be back in a bit. Your phone is in the side table's drawer, you call me if you need anything before I get back."

That meant sitting up more and twisting around. The first time he tried it pain lanced through his side from the stab wound. That was going to be more difficult than he had expected. The paid medications slowed his thinking to his frustration but he wasn't deterred just yet. He leaned over to try to pull the covers off of his legs so he could move around but that also caused a great deal of pain. This wasn't going as well as he had hoped.
He laid back to consider his options, closing his eyes for a moment. That moment stretched into minutes and before he knew it he had dozed off enough that the next thing he remembered was Rogue coming back into the room.

Within half an hour, she was armed with a bag full of items and a steaming cup of coffee for her friend who she was very pleased upon her return to see was still in bed where she'd left him. In fact, it looked like he'd gotten some rest, for which she was glad.
"I got you that coffee you wanted," she informed him, moving his mobile tray over the bed. There was a straw sticking out of the lid. "The straw is so you don't accidentally spill it when the meds kick in."
no subject
"What did you get?" he asked as he took a careful sip of coffee. It tasted so good, the best thing he had tasted in days.

"Nothing too rich or heavy," she explained as she unpacked the bag. A few clementines, a couple of peaches and bananas, a small jar of peanut butter, a jar of jam, and a package of english muffins. "Anything too extreme might make you nauseous with all your medication, but you'll at least get some flavor with these."
no subject
"I'm fine, I haven't felt sick at all," he insisted as he eyed the English muffins while eating the peach. He didn't think about how he already felt tired, refusing to lay back down. This was the most awake he had felt in the last two days and he wasn't going to sleep if he could help it.
Jeopardy Hangar
The hangar has been fully converted to a Cybertronian-sized lap space, courtesy of Darin's metalworking and supplies from StarkTech. And Knock Out seems quite comfortable moving around, obviously pleased to have his own setup where he can tinker and study.
The main hangar large doors are closed at the moment, but the regular entrance, human-sized door is unlocked should anyone be dropping by.
