HEROPA ▸ look, she's up before noon, isn't she?
She's out late most nights until well into the morning hours, crashing sometime before dawn and then fueling herself with coffee every morning -- late in the morning -- at her new favorite café in Heropa. Selina hides the dark circles and tired eyes beneath oversized sunglasses and lets out a loud yawn as she waits for her order. Some mornings she'll even grab a pastry and have a seat outside, perhaps hoarding a couple extra chairs, just trying to soak up some of that vitamin D. ]

Long day already?
[ she remembers those days too well, if not from school, then definitely from the stories she's been cranking out at the Citizen. ]
no subject
It was a long day yesterday. Hasn't ended.

Now, remember, careful's the keyword here, but that doesn't necessarily mean those with a keen eye or just dumb luck won't catch her lurking around. In a sprawling city, she's pretty partial to rooftops. ]
no subject
These rooftops are getting too crowded. Used to be we didn't have to share.
no subject
Really? All these capes around here, and you were, what? Lord of the Rooftops? [ Her voice is deadpan, distracted. ] I'll just be on my way, if you don't mind...
no subject
It was Viscount, actually. [Is that higher than a lord? Fuck if M knows or cares!] Look, I don't particularly give a crap about what you do for fun--not that kind of man in black--I'm just going to politely ask you to avoid an asset of mine. He doesn't have the kind of cash you think he does.
[And if other people, particularly his nasty friends, get wind of that, he's useless as an asset.]

or perhaps she was also observing something. it's what the other woman on the roof seemed to be doing, creeping about, watching.
her steps on the roof, the click of heels are the first things that will tell the woman that she isn't alone, her entrance before that silent and lilith waits until she's closer before speaking )
Something seems interesting.
no subject
She doesn't even flinch at the sound of the voice, doesn't turn her attention to the woman now standing behind her. She only continues to watch the shadows move from behind the curtains through her binoculars, responding over her shoulder. ]
I don't know, it's been kind of boring actually, but I don't bill for lack of entertainment.
no subject
( she steps closer still, letting her gaze travel in the direction that the woman is looking. she can't see the details so clear without binoculars but there's certainly something there )

[ the low rumble of his voice announces his presence before the towering shadow does. there are plenty of thieves around these parts, but none of them with her finesse. call it intimate familiarity that he has some idea of what's hit the victims... ]
no subject
Her back still to him, he certainly can't see the way her lips curve into a smile, but it's there. He knows that much, doesn't he? ]
And this would be the part where I tell you to 'go to hell.'
no subject
[ he responds with little sarcasm. it's almost a foregone conclusion, where this is headed, so he cuts to the chase, as though he's more than willing to comfortably fall back into old routines. ]
So, how are we going to do this, then? Towards the pier, or lose me closer to the high-rises?

ANY ▸ nightlife, boogie, etc.
For someone who wouldn't normally be considered a people person, she's good at putting on a show. Given a little motivation? Oh, she's everyone's friend. ]
nightclub
The music pounds, passionate and frenetic. Someone croons about having a warm body next to them just for the night, over the beat. Molly grins at his partner, flashing teeth.]
Got a name? I like to know the names of the people I’m dancing with.
no subject
Alone and without anyone to dance with, Selina grabs hold of the first person she spots that seems alone, too, and pulls them through the crowd and onto the floor. She doesn't really give him time to protest, but he doesn't pull away either. That's a good sign, right? ]
Selina. [ Loud, trying to talk over the sound of the music. She presses a little closer. ] Yours?

[Mollymauk, one letter away from the seabird. One hand settles on her elbow, and his smile turns just a little bit flirty, just a little bit adventurous. His tail taps against her ankle.]
Having a good time yet, Selina? [Underneath, an invitation: want to make it even better?]

WILDCARD + CLOSED ▸ like, you know, whatever
CLOSED ▸ ren faire w/ oliver
There are giant turkey legs and drinks in novelty mugs as promised. Employees and attendees clad in their carefully recreated garb, speaking in fake accents in what mostly resembles English. It's cute. Nerdy as hell, but... cute. ]
These people really go all in, huh?

[ He points to a smartly dressed, brunette, beautiful, and somewhat portly lady whose face shines with enthusiasm as she hands out fire-cooked treats to children. ]
Mrs. Abernathy there is Olandia of the Fires, and she works a 40 hour job as an air traffic controller most of the time, but here, she cooks over an open fire food that is in demand in seven states.

When Gabby sees Selina, she gives a cheerful wave and holds up a little paper bag.]
I brought one for you too!

For example, she smells the chocolate croissant before she sees it, and there's a fond smile on her face as she approaches her pint-sized tutor. She's not hard to sell on kids, and that's helpful, but she knows she likes this one already. ]
You remembered.
