chilling at home
WHO: Utena, her housemates, and any visitors
WHERE: Heropa Residence 001
WHEN: mid to late May
WHAT: Just a general open log for housemates! Potential hooks are behind the cut.
WARNINGS: None so far
Life in this strange version America can be stressful, and everyone needs an outlet, Utena included. So here she is in the garage, working on a homemade punching bag similar to the one she had in her last house. After it's successfully set up she can be found taking her stress out on the bag, or outside in the driveway dribbling a basketball and practicing some free throws.
But sometimes it's too hot and muggy to spend time outside or be cooped up in a garage. While Utena doesn't have the patience to stay seated for too long, she can still be found watching some television. She has a collection of trashy b-movies bought on the cheap from a secondhand store and a handful of old classics rented from the library, and when she's not in the mood for any of those, she might have the channel flipped to the latest wrestling match.
If anyone wants a more private conversation, though, just knock on her bedroom door. She'll be browsing the Network and the internet, reading a book from the library, catching up on her homework... or, more accurately, procrastinating on her homework. If that's the case, she certainly wouldn't say no to a little distraction.

"Ah, hello! Oh..." No, he knows her! He's seen her around before! Give him a moment. "Utena, is it? What's ah... what's up?"
It isn't odd to have people just move into a house you are living at here, at least. He's more confused because no one had mentioned that before, and she's been here before! Hm!

"Hey, long time no see! And nothing, I just..."
Came back from a week long, interdimensional vacation?
"...uh, got home. Hey, what about you? Let me guess - visiting friends?"
She knows how much Futaba and Haru missed him, so of course he'd want to catch up.

"I just got home, too", he says with a smile. "I uh. I guess we're living together now, huh? How long have you been living here, anyway?"

"Since January," she says, stretching her arms behind her back. "It feels like I just moved in, though... I guess time really flies here, doesn't it? Anyway, why don't we catch up inside? It'll be nicer in there than out there."

At this current point in time, that time out of her room was being spent digging flipping through channels on the tv while stretched out on the couch, snacks laid out on the coffee table for the taking.
"You'd think TV would be more interesting in the summer now that all of us kids are out of school..."

"Tell me about it," she says. Utena stretches her arms out, and continues, "Hey, why don't we check out the dollar theater instead? There's got to be something better there, and if we're lucky, we can beat the-"
And as if on cue, Utena's interrupted by a loud crack of thunder, and the lights flicker for a moment before coming back to life. Rain patters against the windows, and Utena groans as she flops down on the carpet.
"...storm..."
