WHO: REGGIE MANTLE and YOU.
WHERE: Reggie's apartment in Heropa.
WHEN: Friday/Saturday, September 14th-15th.
WHAT: Reggie finally throws another one of his infamous teen parties, long overdue-- because what better way to celebrate the end of summer than a rager? Anyone is free to tag in/top level/tag around regardless of existing CR; maybe they were invited, maybe they were passing by, or maybe word has just gotten out another way! It's all good.
WARNINGS: Underage drinking mainly, though potentially other party-typical (or otherwise) sensitive content (e.g. drug use, sexual implications/activity, etc.); please mark threads for content as applicable!

❚❚ ARRIVAL / MINGLING | inside | friday
- The apartment, granted, isn't huge -- just one of the standard government two bedrooms -- but that's obviously not of major concern for this party's charming host. There's still always room outside should it get too crowded, but also, a good party is always a little crowded.
The dining room table is laid out with paper plates and pizza boxes -- the different kinds labeled with post-its -- a stack of red plastic cups, and a cooler of beer, soda and juices. Reggie will tell guests as they arrive (if he's there to greet them) to come find him whenever they need their drinks "freshened up": find him, talk to him, he'll work his magic to turn whatever your drink of choice more alcoholic. All for free this time, too! So generous of him.
The party will be going from "8 PM - ????" but feel free to arrive earlier, and to stay as long as you want. Odds are the festivities will spill over into the early hours of Saturday morning, which gives everyone plenty of time to mingle and make new friends, enemies, love connections, or whatever else. There's a spare bedroom, a couch, the floor, tables?!, or even Reggie's own bed that can be crashed on in a pinch; true that last option might be awkward, but only maybe. He might not even notice! And almost certainly won't mind.
Just try not to get too rowdy or turn the music up too loud, in case the neighbors complain-- or you know what, fuck those guys. Smoke in the bathroom, make out on the balcony. If it gets too crowded for you, clear off a table and dance there instead! Seriously, do whatever you want. As long as you don't upset Reggie's dog Moose too much, because nothing derails a party like a dog who won't stop barking.
❚❚ GAMES & ACTIVITIES | either | friday
- Since it is a party, the whole of the apartment is effectively at any guest's disposal, even beyond the common areas; it may not be considered the most classy to pop inside the hosts's bedroom, but also not unheard of if anyone's in need of some privacy (with or without company), or just a moment to take a quick breather.
In the common areas, of course, people are free to mingle, drink, and dance-- hell, it's encouraged. Go wild, grind on each other, enjoy the free food, do shots, watch TV, sit on the couch and chat... the night is full of options, and that's not even including the potential for party games: various drinking games are bound to be organized and played throughout the night, such as the classic ice-breaker games Spin the Bottle, Truth Or Dare, Never Have I Ever and of course don't forget Twister. Play as a group or one-on-one, whatever's your pleasure!
Outside, naturally, there's an entire yard and a pool to take advantage of. Things might be a little quieter and less crowded there depending on the time of night, although that's still a "maybe," because on a warm Florida night there's nothing more fun than partying at a poolside. Hope you came prepared! But hell, even if not, no one's really going to judge anyone too hard for jumping in (or getting pushed in) with their clothes on or even in their underwear. Anything goes, after all! The pool area's nicely lit up, though it'll close for the night eventually; still feel free to sneak back in after hours if you don't mind the darkness. Just, y'know, don't drown.
❚❚ MORNING AFTER | inside | saturday
- By the time Saturday morning rolls around, a lot of people may or may not have left already -- one never can really tell how long a party will last -- but those who haven't may either still be awake (talking, swimming, making out, watching TV, or whatever else) or passed out asleep wherever they found space to. Sleep in as long as you need, drag yourselves awake and help each other tend to your potential respective hangovers, dig into your host's leftovers and/or fridge, or just take the opportunity to have a quiet conversation or moment alone with someone you didn't have the chance to while the party was in full swing.

REGGIE MANTLE | ota
[ While it's still light and fairly warm outside, Reggie is likely to be found outside by or inside the pool. Dressed in simple blueish-black swim trunks, Reggie is all over the place when it comes time for the party; he's tall and obnoxiously present, so it's easy to find him if anyone wants to talk or just get their drinks filled with more booze.
He'll probably be drinking (unsafe), challenging people to race or wrestle him, grabbing people to yank them into the water, or simply just chilling. It's nice to chill, especially in the cool illuminated water on a warm night like this, and especially with enough people around he can bother rather than getting lost in his own annoying thoughts. ]
❚❚ INDOORS / PARTY GAMES
[ It won't be long before Reggie makes it back inside, probably still a bit wet even after toweling off and putting on a shirt. He'll make rounds, snacking on pizza and sipping on beer, dancing if people wanna dance, and of course, playing him some party games. Catch him sitting down for some Truth or Dare, Never Have I Ever or Spin the Bottle, or yes, even Twister. He's probably pretty good at that one, depending on how you define being "good" at Twister.
If not playing games or dancing with whomever's closest Reggie can likely be found on the couch with sports probably on the TV, chatting with company or maybe in between conversations, so it's a good time to hit him up or even pull him aside somewhere private if you want a moment with him. (Though of course, even if not now, he'll still be here all night. For obvious reasons.) ]
❚❚ SATURDAY MORNING
[ Reggie probably won't be crashing until 3 or 4 AM, at which point he'll collapse on his bed-- with or without company, and oblivious to anyone else who might (or might not) be passed out there already until whoever wakes up first. If that is the case, beware; he is a restless sleeper and might steal blankets, kick, or elbow any unexpected bedmates in his sleep, or possibly end up spooning. Things have been kind of lonely lately, after all.
Whether or not the party's died down by the time Reggie gets up to make coffee and munch leftover pizza, he'll certainly not be kicking out anyone who's stuck around. What better time to hang out, right? To talk, or... do otherwise. ]
poolside
He's going into this party with the wrong attitude.
Truth be told, even if he were on good terms with Reggie right now, he wouldn't want to be here - everyone's young and happy and it makes him sick. He purposefully avoids the crowds to avoid getting pulled into a conversation with somebody he neither knows nor cares about, and after a few minutes of careful sidesteps and narrowly avoided collisions with someone who shouldn't be running next to the fucking pool because that's dangerous, he ends up in front of Reggie. Finally.
He's overdressed, all in leather, as usual, from the biker jacket to the black gloves. He's holding a box wrapped in blue foil paper and tied with a yellow bow, because he's an idiot who forgot that teenagers throw parties even when it isn't their birthday. Derek's here for two reasons - to keep an eye on Tate, should he decide to show up, and to try and make amends. Hopefully he's not too late for either of those.
There's no greeting. He just shoves the box into Reggie's hands, regardless of how wet and cold he might be. ]
Reggie.
[ that's it ]
no subject
Stupidly, he likes that it's wrapped with blue and gold, because even though it's no secret from his letterman jacket that Reggie's school colors are blue and gold, he always forgets that those colors still mean something to him even though he's not in Riverdale. Derek noticed, maybe. Reggie doesn't know what to make of this gift; as much as he usually loves gifts in general, unexpected gifts always confuse him.
He blinks, pulling at the bow slowly. The animosity has mostly melted from his tone when he responds: ]

she's still nursing a beer from earlier. it's refreshing to not have to drink it all in one go to make it worth her while. she smirks at reggie, a mischievous glint in her eyes. )
Alright, Mantle, you're up. Truth or Dare?
no subject
Reggie is not especially fond of the "truth" part of the game himself, obviously, although he has less of an aversion to it with someone like Clarisse, who doesn't know him well enough yet to ask anything too difficult. Well... probably, but it doesn't matter too much. Three beers in and counting by now, there's only one choice he can make. ]

[Utena gives him a sidelong glance and sips from her cup. Something about this guy seems... off. Maybe it's the clothes. Maybe it's the look in his eyes. She shrugs it off, though. While she's dressed a a little more reasonably, his clothes can be explained away - maybe this guy got stuck with some ice or frost powers or something. And as for his face... hey, he's far from the only guy here who's got some red, puffy eyes right now. Utena relaxes and leans against the wall]

Fortunato Medeiros | OTA
[ Yeah, this kid's clearly out of place.
It's not that Fortunato doesn't know anything about teen parties, it's that he usually doesn't go, either because he wasn't invited or because it seems like a bad idea. But Reggie invited him personally, and he's inclined to make a good impression to people these days, considering what he worries will happen if he doesn't. But it's somewhat obvious he has little experience with this whole "drink and play spin the bottle" thing, and he's not jumping to try.
He's not even drinking beer. He's got soda. What a weirdo, right?
Despite his excessively plain outfit, he does have one interesting thing of note: he's got a cane, with a surprisingly cool jaguar design at the top. Considering how nondescript his usual style appears to be, it was clearly a gift. Hard to tell what he needs it for right now, though.
He's going to spend his time sitting in a chair or standing next to a wall, looking almost excessively poised for the occasion. If anyone wants to get him to play a game, they're going to have to make the move themselves, it seems. ]
2. EARLY MORNING (outside)
[ ...So it's a bit strange that he'd still be here, sitting in a chair outside, at three in the morning.
He would've left around 11 or so if his eyes were doing better, but that's the side effect of his power giving him eyes back; sometimes they just don't work. Despite his best efforts, and the cane, he still hasn't figured out everything about getting around Heropa blind, and he decided he'd just sit for a moment and hope things would improve. Well, they haven't, and Fortunato still attends school. That means at this point, he's this close to being half-asleep in this chair, the cane sitting across his lap.
It might be hard to notice how tired he is; he's so used to staying poised that he hasn't slumped too much. But if you pay attention, you might notice that he doesn't really seem to be paying attention to the continuing party, or...much of anything. He may need to be shaken a bit. ]
outside
While it's not his party and therefore not his responsibility to entertain, Cass can't help but spot the lone, still figure in the chair. Either the kids not having fun, passed out, or dead, and all three are reason enough to check on him, approaching with a head tilt, a half drunk bottle of whiskey in hand.]
How are yeh, lad? Partied a little too hard, there? [The cane's getting a pointed look as Cassidy crouches down beside the chair to be at a similar level.]

haru okumura | OPEN
[ Haru arrives just a little prior to the party starting as it's only polite to do so. She's come on her own, expecting to meet Akira and the others at some point. Apparently this Reggie fellow is a friend of Akira's, someone who hosts entertaining parties, so Haru, while a bit nervous to mingle with strangers, is also excited to do so and meet new friends. Despite being in this world for months now, it feels as if she doesn't get out and socialize as much as she should be doing.
Well, tonight will hopefully be different.
Truthfully though, she isn't expecting this party to get as crowded as it does, so she does have to try and gently squeeze past others to get around. Every now and then she might brush someone too closely, stopping in her tracks to apologize. ]
I'm very sorry. Did I step on your shoes?
PARTY GAMES | inside
[ Maybe she needs a drink to help alleviate some of her tension, but once the games begin to get louder and hectic, Haru shrinks back onto the sidelines, more content to watch for now. It's tempting to join in on the fun, especially games like Truth or Dare or Twister, but she needs to work up the courage first.
Maybe someone can help a girl out?
Alternatively, she can be found outside eventually, sitting next to Moose the dog and cooing to him over how "sweet" and "magnificent" a dog he is. She seems to have forgotten the party and other teenagers, preoccupied scratching Moose's ear and laughing softly when he wags his tail excitedly. ]
arrival
He can certainly handle his shoes being stepped on, but he is somewhat flustered, caught off guard. ]
Oh- it- [ He has to shift the two bags of chips he's holding over to look at her properly. ] It is fine. Sorry.
[ He moves his foot upward for a moment, though, before setting it down- he hasn't gotten much use out of his apparent healing ability besides the obvious, but he's somewhat startled by how quick the pain fades. Hm. ]

Veronica's not here yet, though, and while she's one of the people Reggie's hoping shows up the most, he's not going to let his whole evening get caught up on whether or not she makes it. Things to do, people to meet. Or vice versa? Whatever. The Twister board's been laid out for a bit now, currently not in use, but new girl certainly seems tempted by it. Reggie sits himself down next to Haru, passing her the Twister spinner. ]

Proinsias Cassidy | ota
[Whether he was invited or not isn't really a concern here, when Cassidy hears the thud of music and groups of loud voices in the same apartment block as him, he's drawn to it like moth to flame. He slips in without fuss, brings an entire bag full of liquors as a peace offering, and even a few lighter party drugs (nothing too strong, he's dealing with teenagers here) to share out when necessary. He's the cool uncle, just let him stay, get wasted and enjoy having some company.
Cassidy might be one of the oldest at the party, but he's definitely not acting it. He gets involved in plenty of the drinking games on offer, chats shit to almost anyone who'll listen to his drunken ramblings and conspiracy theories, and once the sun is setting below the horizon, he ventures poolside. Although he doesn't actually own swim gear, he seems perfectly content to hang out in his black boxer briefs for when he is actually in the water, the masses of tattoos sort of draw the eye away from the underwear thing anyway. And when he's not actively cannonballing or splashing around like a kid, he's usually with his ratty old gym shorts and a brightly coloured shirt left open for all to see his scrawny, tattooed chest, chatting to any who linger long enough to listen.]
2. morning after
[At some point in the early hours of the morning he catches a few hours sleep while curled up awkwardly in the shower. It's a fine enough sleeping spot, but come morning he's up again, rummaging through all the cupboards and helping himself to the coffee he finds. In his defence, he makes a full pot, ready for any other risers, and he's even considerate enough to have his morning smoke out on the balcony, half in the shade and half hidden under a blanket he stole from the couch. He's up and about for any that need the help, but if not, he's just squeezed onto the couch next to some sleeping body as he munches away on whatever leftovers he finds nearby.
If he does see another living soul amongst the passed out, he'll offer up a sympathetic grin for any potential hangovers and a hushed:]
Alright there? Fancy a coffee?
Akira Kurusu | OTA
[Akira had been invited, and while he was going to throw a party for himself, there was no reason not to celebrate in a little wilder of a fashion for a little bit! He comes into the party with a thermos of iced coffee that he had brought once to one of Reggie's parties before, definitely stopping in to say hi to the man himself and get it 'touched up'.
He lifted a hand, waving and walking right up to anyone and everyone, ready to strike up a conversation. It was hard not to be in a good mood for him, right now.] Hey!
It's been awhile since I've been to one of these. They still get as crazy as they used to?
II. The Most Important Part of a Party
[By now he's had a few drinks, toasted to his past birthday, and had found out about the most important thing in this whole apartment- A DOG! A dog at a party!!! Akira was a big soft nerd boy in the end and of course he ended up hanging out with Moose, gently petting at them and trying to get them to play with him. Maybe play-wrestle? But it was hard because he had been drinking a little too much already and ends up holding the poor dog's face, tears welling up in his eyes as he calls the dog a Good Boy, then looking to anyone who came close and sniffling.]
HE'S SO GOOD! Look at this pup...!!!
III. Poolside
[Once he'd finished with his hardcore partying(was petting a dog really hardcore partying? Maybe), Akira can be found by the pool. He's done with his drink, his thermos having been set down somewhere, and now he's got his legs in the water, kicking them back and forth absentmindedly, before looking up to whoever is coming too near to him.]
Guess I should just go before you push me, huh?
[He gives a wry grin at that, looking impish. He might be inclined to take someone down with him...]
I
Long time no see! And I don't know... I haven't been to one of these in a while, but I can't see it topping the one from last year. That got pretty wild.

UTENA TENJOU | OTA
I. INSIDE
[She'll be avoiding spin the bottle, but everything else? She's game. Truth or dare? Never have I ever? Bring it on. She'll also have zero problems breaking in the Twister board, or hitting the dance floor. If she sees someone looking lonely, they might get dragged into the fun]
II. POOLSIDE
Heads up!
[Sometime during the party she swaps her party clothes for a swimsuit, and she whips out the other thing she brought to the party: a brightly colored, inflatable beach ball. She tosses it up in the air and with a powerful spike, she launches it towards the far end of the pool, towards the other guests]
III. LATE NIGHT
[The dancing, the swimming, and the drinks have taken their toll on Utena. Late in the night she's collapsed on the couch, wearing a different shirt than the one she came to the party in, waving a cold slice of pizza emphatically as she rambles on]
-it's just... it's just this place, you know? Not this place - the party's nice, it's great - but everything else! Florida, America, the world... everything feels like it's just... spinning out of control.
[And she spins the pizza around, before she remembers why she grabbed it, and takes a bite]
You know what I mean?
IV. THE MORNING AFTER
[She. Is. Miserable.
Utena stumbles down the hallway, sore, nauseous, and hungover. Which, unfortunately, means she doesn't notice the obstacle at the end of the hall. Is it another party guest? Some random crap that got thrown on the floor to make room on the table or the couch? Whatever it is, Utena trips, and falls to the ground with an undignified yell]
V. WILDCARD
[OOC: Do you want a thread, but you aren't feeling any of these options? Let me know and we can work something out]
III
Yeah. Yes. It's like—fuck, I don't know, it's like you signed up for one thing and you got a completely different thing and not only is it completely different, it's also threatening to blow shit up.

OTA -- Ryūji Sakamoto
[Oh, man. Real food that isn't just hot wings! Ryūji ignores the drinks altogether, as much as he'd normally love a soda, and promptly tries to fit three pieces of pizza in his mouth at once. It's cheesy, greasy, heaven. He actually groans in relief. It's probably not such a pretty picture, might want to just leave the weird pizza goblin alone, guys.]
Pool party!
[Akira had tipped Ryūji off to the pool, so he's prepared. And pretty unashamedly strips his clothes off on his way to the pool. He tosses a shirt here, a sock there, until he's wearing nothing but some red board shorts with white stripes down the side. They're not fancy, but he feels at home in them.
His abs are cut and athletic, but he's kind of on the scrawny side. Just in the the lanky, teenage way, not anything unhealthy. Maybe a little thinner than he'd been when he arrived, but who knew dinner didn't just make itself every night, right?]
Gang way!
[Ryūji shouts as he ignores the first rule of pools everywhere and takes a running leap. Oh, yeah, he's going to do a cannonball. He whoops in excitement just before he barrels into the water with a ludicrous splash for a guy his size. Any bystanders are probably less amused.]
Morning
[Morning finds Ryūji asleep on the lawn. He's still in his board shorts, but now he's covered in popcorn and other people's spilled drinks. A card stuck to his forehead identifies him as Matty McSky, of the cult classic Back in the Future. Obviously, he hadn't been able to guess his new identity before all of the excitement caught up with him. He's out like a light, snoring quietly, and probably in for a wicked sunburn if no one wakes him up soon. Oops.]
