There is a world out there and it's calling my name.

WHO: Ronan & Matthew Lynch
WHERE: The Meadows
WHEN: Mid-September
WHAT: Matthew gets a soul of his own.
WARNINGS: They're good boys Brent.

[The solution comes to Ronan after months of brooding and tormenting himself with the fear that he might not be able to do this right. Or worse, that he might not be able to do it at all. But when the inspiration finally hits him, it's a physical shock to his body. It sends him toppling out of the hammock in the garden (where he'd been quietly agonizing) and tearing through the farmhouse, until he's finally at the door to Matthew's bedroom. Then he -

...knocks. He used to hate it so much when Declan would come bursting in unannounced. He refuses to be That Brother.]

Hey, are you busy?

[ There's nothing Ronan could do that would make Matthew tire of him, but the respect for his privacy is appreciated even if it's also unnecessary. Matthew doesn't tend to get up to anything that he minds interrupted, especially not by his beloved older brother.

He swings the door open immediately, sunlight spilling from his room into the hallway. ]

Not busy! What's up? You sounded like an elephant.

[ He could hear you coming from a mile away, bro. Hopefully whatever is so urgent will be something nice! ]

[ The warmest of smiles spreads across Matthew's face. ]

Yeah! Sure!

[ Always. He loves dreaming with Ronan; it very quickly became one of his favorite things they do together. ]

In here?

[ He practically hops backward, clearing the doorway for Ronan to come inside. ]

[ The energy coming off of Ronan has an effect on his little brother, who eagerly moves his guitar from his bed to the floor, notebook of songs from pillows to nightstand. (That's what he was working on when he got distracted by Ronan's thundering down the hall, trying to get some lyrics right. He'll work on that more later.) With the space cleared he flops across the bed, leaving enough room for his brother on the other end.

Before they start, he knows he should just close his eyes and try to settle down for dreaming, but he can't stop himself from asking-- ]

You've got something, don't you?
