Let 'em say we're crazy
WHO: TONY STARK and LOKI LAUFEYSON
WHERE: De Chima idk
WHEN: Thursday Afternoon
WHAT: Worlds gotta collide
WARNINGS: probably not
Oh yes, yes -- [ Said a one Anthony Edward Stark, walking a talking to what was likely a news reporter, considering she had a recorder held out as she kept up with his long stride. ] I do think the events over the past few weeks have been distressing. It's a real shame what the import population does. We have great power, and we should be using that to life people up, and elevate voices, instead of hurting people. That's what I have always aimed to do -- [ He held a hand to his chest, while she pressed him, bringing up an event from close to two years ago -- when he had caused chaos that still echoed to this day. ]
Ah, yes, but I gave people power, free of charge. Or rather, my future self did, which is a tragedy in that so many people were harmed --
[ His eyes scanned the crowd, a quick analysis, street cameras played their part, and he looked for someone to cavort off with, instead of talking about that. Instead of mentioning anything to do with his own past indiscretions and problems he'd caused. It was...inconvenient. Especially when you were that future self.
He'd been about to find a pretty face when he found -- well, a familiar face. That will do. ]
Now if you'll excuse me, I have a very, very dear friend that I need to reaccquaint myself with.
[ He said, before he picked up pace -- to jog up to the god. ] Oh now don't walk faster... [ He said, whether he was walking faster or not. ]

My dear friend, [he says, mockingly,] please don't let me intrude on your very important...
[He waves dismissively at Tony's horde of press, as if he'd only just now noticed them.]
Whatever that is.

[ He waved them off, and while they didn't entirely stop, they did slow down.
They couldn't keep up with all that equipment, after all. ]
Nothing's more important than an old friend! We haven't even had a chance to catch up, now have we?

[All right. By now he's pretty accepting that not everyone here is from the same universe. This Tony is not the same one that he knows, and he's sure Tony knows that he is, accordingly, not the same Loki. In an ideal world, that would be the end of it and they'd simply go their separate ways, because it's not like Loki has much thought to spare about "his" Tony Stark, considering they interacted for all of ten minutes, let alone this completely different version.
That Tony insists otherwise is downright annoying.]
Forgive me for asking, but what interest could you possibly have in my life?
no subject
Oh, you don't know? We go way back, my friend!
[ He stretched his arms our, as if he were indicating a long length of time. ] Or at least, the me and you of my universe did. You helped create the Avengers, after all, not to mention all the...other delightful things you did.
[ Tony Stark of old would have very much, yes, enjoyed ignoring Loki's presence.
The Tony Stark of new -- the Superior model -- knew where to find the right people. ]
And I think it's important that we actually talk. Especially without your brother around to...work you up.
no subject
[Loki's expression can only nominally be called a smile.]
And what would you like to know that my dear brother's presence would taint?
[A pause.]
Apart from the obvious.
no subject
Well, I want to know what, precisely, you plan to do here? Are you really of a mind to just follow whatever Thor wants?
That's, no offense, exceptionally out of character for you.
[ Well, the version of him that Tony knows, but... ]
