[one certain way for an organic to make an impression on riptide - whether they want to or not - is to be non human. he'd be hard pressed to admit he doesn't actually dislike humans, but he's certainly come to feel... some sort of way about the attitude the human imPorts and natives have towards the alien populace.

it's annoying, frankly.

riptide's found himself with a stretch between things his agent wanted him to do, so at first he spends some time underwater before remembering there's some new aliens around he'd like to get to know better. it doesn't take much network trawling to find where satan is based, along with some blue haired idiot human called darin? whatever. riptide shows up outside satan's place without messaging ahead or warning either of them (managing to avoid standing on any goats, thankfully) and crouches outside, his eye level going down to about the second storey window.]

Hey. Wing guy! I wanna hang out. You in there?

[ "Wing guy" is minding his business and brushing his rabbits when he hears someone far too close to his window. While still holding a bun, he moves to open the window and meet Riptide. It's not surprising in the least, not to him, and he does smile a little ]

You know how to make an entrance, don't you?

Paid to do it, even. [riptide comments with a light snort, squinting to look into the window satan is standing at.] Come out, huh? I'm bored but not self-hating enough to hang out with a bunch of humans.

[ satan carefully puts the rabbit down in his pen, petting his head one last time before he closes the door. He might be all for animals roaming free, but he isn't going to risk letting the buns roam freely in the house while he isn't there to keep an eye on them

After, he comes out from the window - he has wings, so it's not like he is going to fall ]

[it's nice, not having to bother with carrying him, or changing to suit the size.]

Right, well, where can you survive? I was thinking maybe the moon or underwater.

[granddevil]

[ satan moves closer to riptide's face so they can see each other while they talk ]

The moon will be fine. It's quieter too, I say.

Correct. You can survive on the surface?

[he gets that satan is nonhuman, but being nonorganic and being able to survive in the vacuum of space is another thing entirely...]

[granddevil]

For a while, yes. [ satan is powerful, but he can't stay the whole day outside Just enough to enjoy though. ]

Don't worry, I'll teleport when necessary.

[knaval]

[riptide continues down the street, ignoring being stared at. a giant robot and a naked 12 winged archangel. it's something.]

I'll have to change when we get to the porter, ugh. You said you came from space, right?

[granddevil]

[ he nods ]

I went wherever God wanted me to go, and often traveled from world to world. I did settle down on Earth. [ well, he wanted to, at least ]

By "change", you mean you have to look human, correct?

[knaval]

It's always Earth...

[where the war ended, where everything seems to be focused. it's puzzling.]

Yeah, or I won't fit in the Porter.

I know. I've been wondering why.

Perhaps Lachesis is picking only those that are somehow related to the planet. [ maybe it's a coincidence. But of the thousands of worlds that exist in a universe, not to mention a dimension, why is Earth always that one planet everyone knows ?]

Very well, we will go to the Porter then. [ satan reaches for Riptide's shoulder and touches it - and if the other doesn't pull away, he will teleport both of them to the Porter ]

She should pick another one.

[he's not sure what satan means but... doesn't pull away. what a surprise he's about to get.]

[granddevil]

I don't mind Earth truly.

[ and the moment he says that, he will teleport both of them right in front of the porter. they even end up pushing some people out of the way (well, riptide will, he is the one who is huge) ]

[knaval]

[the teleportation surprises him, but he's not so severely displaced that he reacts too badly. just takes a moment to get his balance and sort his senses out.]

Okay, okay. [he sways a little.] Okay. That's something you can do. Okay.

[granddevil]

[ he smiles a little ] It's limited now, I was able to teleport all over the world, before.

[ he misses that ]

Sucks. What's the range now?

[he asks, before he switches to human. tall, lanky, instantaneous.]

1000km range. Which is nothing, in all honesty. [ satan misses his teleportation power.

Satan lands close to Riptide, wings eventually hiding as well - only the head wings remain - since it's easier to walk without them. ]
