[ Satan knows what Pokemon are thanks to his visit to Archie's place when he came to pick up the rabbits. Sure, Archie does not know Ryo and him are the same person yet, but most likely sooner than later he will. While the archangel is walking through the woods, enjoying nature, giving some of his energy to the trees so they will be stronger and greener, eventually he comes face to face with one of the Pokemons.

For a second, Satan stands there, but eventually his wings fold behind his back and he kneels down while he extends his hand out to the animal ]

Hello, little one.

[unawares, archie's been following the energy trail satan's been leaving. he's just been following mightyena, who has been following satan's path purposefully. maybe it's the scent, maybe it can see a little bit more than archie can, but either way... it leads him directly to the archangel. archie is taken aback by the nudity - assuming for a few moments that he's just walked into a naked, drugged up hippie.

two out of three ain't bad, really. he realises that it's not the case when his brain catches up with his eyes and he sees the, uh, wings. all twelve of them.

mightyena pads close to satan, sniffing at the hand, then coming forward to touch his nose to satan's fingers. archie just stays back, watching this with a faint smile.]

[ as the dog approaches, he finally touches his head without any fear, and eventually both hands reach for mightyena for some serious petting.

Satan absolutely doesn't fear any kind of animal, so he even leans is to nuzzle the dog ] Are you here alone?

[mightyena boofs happily, pressing his head into satan's hand, licking all over his face when he gets in for that good nuzzlin' action. mightyena's tail is practically wagging a mile a minute with joy.

at the question, it looks back over to archie - who's leaning against a tree - and raises a hand in a small wave to satan. he makes absolutely no move to go over to him. he gets this. enjoy the pokémon.]

[ licking is welcome too, apparently Satan does not care about that either.

When the pokemon looks back at Archie, Satan's eyes follow to meet the man, and that soft and happy smile shifts because well that's disappointing. And quickly he goes back to give his full attention to the dog, stroking his fur, however Satan's wings spread out (it's mostly to show he is impressive than anything else). ]

Is your owner going to watch from the trees, like a creep? [ this might be an invitation for Archie to come closer, if he wants to ]

[he snorts, though clearly hesitates when satan spreads his wings. it's effective. he's seen satan on the network and he's no less terrifying in person. mightyena lets out a small whine, though it's not mournful or sad. more of a seriously?

archie pushes off the tree, strolling over.] I dunno. It was a pretty cute scene.

[stupid comment, but his self-preservation has never been that great.

a pause.]

I, uh, have more with me. If you wanna hang out with 'em.

[he doesn't know satan, but he knows a dude that fuckin loves animals for sure.]

[ Satan does answer or acknowledges the "cute" comment, continuing to stroke the pokemon's fur and paying full attention to him. ]

More Pokemon? [ the archangel hums softly, finally paying some attention to the man in front of him ] You can bring them out.

[he nods, taking the other three pokéballs off their clips. he releases crobat first, who chirps a hello to mightyena and satan before hopping closer to him to see what's going on, then sharpedo and wailmer into the convenient lake that's nearby. sharpedo and wailmer materialise together and the shark pokémon ignores the people present to make sure that wailmer is doing alright. the large (but baby) whale floats in the water, trilling happily at the attention from sharpedo.]

Crobat, [archie says, nodding towards crobat.] Sharpedo, [a nod towards the shark.] And Wailmer, though Hange gave her the name Alberta. She likes it quite a lot. I can tell you anything you wanna know about their species, if you want.

[ satan doesn't quite need to know, he accepts everything regardless of what they are and who made them. He is that kind of person and he is here just to touch the animals, and pet them a lot, really.

His hand reaches out for Crobat, to call him closer and to also pet him. Since sharpedo seems to be a lot more worried about the whale, Satan won't bother him yet ]

They only exist in your world, don't they?

[crobat chirps - recognising that he's going to get attention - and crouches a little, pushing his head into satan's hand. he's very soft and clearly well cared for; his fur has a very healthy purple sheen.

archie stays back to give satan room, watching mightyena circle the two with its tail wagging.]

Yeah. As far as I'm aware. Infinite multiple universes, though, right? There's probably one out there with Pokémon in your world.

[ he will continue to pet the bat because that's what matters. When he hears Archie's comment, though, Satan shakes his head ]

What a shame that would be. [ because Satan killed the world. That means Pokemon would die too ]

[he's a little surprised by the reply, but doesn't press. crobat trills happily at the attention; mightyena pads over to archie.]

I... guess? Well... anyway. There's, uhm, a few other trainers here with their teams. Blue an' Red have all different types to me.

Types? [ Satan looks back at Archie ] Do you mean species? [ ,maybe the same thing. Different worlds probably have different terminologies, right? ]

Both. They're both classified. Mightyena, for example, is classified as a Dark type, but part of the Mightyena species.

[yeah it's basically just called 'dog']

Crobat is Poison and Flying, Sharpedo is Water and Dark and... Alberta over there is pure Water.

[she sprays some water in response, aiming it at satan. a gentle mist out the blowholes on her head.]

[ amazing. Dog is dog.

Satan looks back at the whale, not really minding the water. His wings flutter, mostly to allow the drops of water to fall off them ]

And how many types can one be?

Two, so say the scientists that research this.

[he shrugs.]

The classifications work for League battles and such, but the moves they learn can be several different types. It's, uh. Complicated, if you're not new to it.

They're magic and they know some cool magic. Basically.

Battles? [ what. ]

Pokémon are sentient, [he starts off.] And they fully understand human speech. It's how they evolved over the years. They're also unbelievably powerful.

[he looks over to sharpedo, who's now spraying wailmer with water gently while she coos happily.]

Both of those two over there can take an eruption of lava out the ground to the face and shrug it off. Sharpedo has multiple times, in fact. It barely scratched him. [yet some leaves would fuck him up. archie doesn't mention this. type differences are... complicated sometimes.] They have all this power inside them and even the most peaceful ones like Alberta over there need some sort of outlet for it. In the wild they would fight much like the animals here do, though far more destructively. There are types that can easily take out mountains and cause earthquakes at will, after all.

[a pause, while he runs a hand over mightyena's head thoughtfully.]

Yet... they choose to live in harmony with humanity. They could've easily wiped us out, but they chose not to. This is where trainers come in. All the Pokémon I have are with me because they want to be. If they wanted to leave, I couldn't do a damn thing to stop them. When they battle with humans like they would in the wild, its something for both of us. We help them train more effectively and by working together we can unlock powers they might not have had before, and the Pokémon get to become stronger, evolve and fight stronger enemies.

[he points to wailmer.]

Not all of them, though. Wailmer doesn't like fighting and isn't like that, so I would never dream of using her in battle. It's not like the dog fighting that exists here, either. If a trainer was to force a Pokémon into battle, they'd likely be deservedly turned against and if the authorities caught wind of it their life would be completely ruined. People get unofficially exiled from their communities for such a crime.

[granddevil]

[ why would anyone want to be fighting with humans as their "trainers". Satan certainly understands the need to fight - hell, demons destroy and kill each other for no other reason than because they can. Satan does not judge that, just like he wouldn't judge a Pokemon.

He just doesn't get why would they allow humans to call themselves their trainers, and to act as pets when they can easily do as they please. ]

I will never understand the need to rely on humans like that. [ they aren't good to begin with, why even bother with them? ]

[archie looks away a little awkwardly.]

Yeah. I don't get it either, but they wanted to be with me. I don't think I deserve them.

[mightyena whines and borks at archie, defiant that that's not true. he reaches out to give it a pat. it's an especially painful admission for him; he'd come so close to ending the world over that belief.]

None of you does. [ animals are pure, and humans corrupt everything, even them.

Look, satan might be very biased ]

[archie is literally the last person who would argue this.]

Yeah-- I mean, I'm not gonna deny that. There's plenty of people in our world that don't deserve the Pokémon that chose to travel with them.

[niko, here, he thinks. he doesn't deserve them yet, but doesn't mention the kid.]

I do my best for them. That's all I can do.

[crobat seems a little annoyed at the turn of the conversation, hissing a little at satan before retreating out of petting reach. seems they have some Feels about their human companion themselves.]

--Well, anyway, you're welcome to spend as much time with them as they want. Socialising is good for them, especially when there's only so many of them here.

[ Satan doesn't mind Crobat moving away. He knows perfectly well how hard it is to see the bad in people you love. ]

Why aren't they always out? [ of the balls, he means. If socializing is good, they should just be free to roam ]

Sometimes they like to stay in the balls to sleep or just have some alone time, [he says with a shrug.] The balls aren't locked, so they can pop out whenever they want. They're aware of what happens on the outside, too, so...

[he raises a shoulder in a shrug.]

All this tech was designed with their comfort in mind. When you start mistreating animals that can control elements, that's when you deserve to have them fight back against you.
