Motorcycle Noises, the Log [Closed]
WHO: Hank Anderson and Tatsuya Suou
WHERE: Heropa
WHEN: Backdated before Shimmer Plot
WHAT: Motorcycles. Dogs
WARNINGS: idk Hank is a potty mouth
[The thing about having a dog like Sumo is, he takes you where HE wants to go. Even if Hank now has a lot more strength, Sumo's leash isn't really held back by anything. The result is predictable. It breaks.
Sumo goes where Sumo wants. And today, Sumo wants to take a walk in Heropa.
Hank can only grumble as the dog excitedly leads him around, stopping by for petting (and there are many to be had when you are a Saint-Bernard and people are not used to many people having this huge of a pet) but it is when he passes by the residents for the other Imports that he finally stops. Sumo, realizing that Hank isn't following him just, and falls to the ground as he tends to do (look you can't expect this dog to last more than fifteen minutes, like master like dog).]
Hey kid. That's a pretty damn nice motorcycle. Haven't seen many of these back home.
[Hank will be the first to admit that the guy's got excellent taste.]

Whoops. Time flies?
He lifts a hand to wave.... and then promptly realizes that hand has a wrench in it. ]
Hey. Thanks. Here's to hoping I can keep it nice.

[Granted it was a small miracle that Hank's own junk of a car still functioned back home.]
How long have you been working on it?
no subject
[ He checks his watch and winces. ]
....Three hours?
[ Oops. He has the decency to look a little embarrassed at how much time had slipped away from him. ]

[Hank is both visibly impressed and slightly worried about how much repairs the bike needs if he's been at it for three hours. Or maybe he's just a perfectionist. Hank's way for electronics was mostly; does it work? If so, then it's good enough. Maybe this was more like him and cases. The urge to figure out and get to the bottom of something.]
Well if it's worth the effort, then I don't see how that's bad. Name's Hank Anderson, by the way.

[ Just a little bit. The bike was probably just fine now, but he'd wanted to make sure it was more than fine. The better he kept up with it, the longer it would stay running. For him, the bike was completely worth it.
He stands up and brushes his hands idly against his jeans, wiping off some of the grease. ]
I'm Tatsuya Suou. It's nice to meet you, Anderson-san.

[More brooding and thinking about the past. Not that Tatsuya would know about that. Of course not.]
Oh shit, that's Japanese, right? Not used to having something as formal as -san added to my name.

He nods, a quick but brief bob of his head. ]
Yeah, it is. It's where I was living before I came here.
[ Does this mean he's American now? He doesn't intend to go back.... That's a thought he can save for another time. ]
I should probably eat something soon.
