WHO: Yuuri and Vitya
WHERE: Heropa
WHEN: During the age event
WHAT: Yuuri just wants to win medals and kiss his fiance, and this place is just not letting him do that. >:
WARNINGS: NA
[ Yuuri was tired. ]
[ It wasn't that he had been working himself to the bone, trying to get back in shape for the upcoming season (though that was definitely a contributing factor), but it was a more mentally tired. He felt drained in a way that was hard to describe, especially so after seeing Yurio turn into a little kid right in front of his eyes. He really wanted all of this to stop, to go somewhere normal where his friends didn't turn into kids and he didn't have weird tentacle powers, and everything was just fine. ]
[ He slumped himself onto a bench in the park, covering his face with his hands as he tried to pull himself together. It wasn't going to last long, he knew that, but how long would he have to deal with this? At least he wasn't affected -- he was in no mood to return to his chubby, young self. Especially if he wasn't going to have any memories like Yuri... ]
[ Yuuri was interrupted from his gloomy thoughts by a familiar wuff, and he automatically dropped his hands so he could reach out for Makkachin, rubbing her head absently. It took him a moment to realize that she was alone, and he stared at her for a moment more, trying to process that. Oh, no... ]
Makkachin, where's Viktor?

Makkachin, where's Viktor?

Yuuri might be able to piece together that she at least came from somewhere to the right, her favorite fetch ball left in the grass over there. ]

[ Of course, Yuuri ran off after her, starting to get worried. He had to be around here somewhere, right? He just wouldn't be so careless as to let Makkachin wander off on her own... ]

Makkachin, there you are!
[ Looks like they found Viktor ... sort of. Instead of the taller, obviously-an-athlete Russian Yuuri was expecting, the person that runs up to the poodle before dropping to their knees to wrap their arms around her in a desperate hug is more of a twink, a skinny teen with long hair pulled back into a ponytail. He buries his face into Makkachin's fur though it doesn't muffle the slight tremble in his (definitely higher) voice. ]
You scared me! Don't run off like that again, okay?
no subject
...Viktor...?
[ He didn't even know he said his name out loud; he was too numb from seeing him like this. ]
no subject
Ah, did you find Makkachin for me? She doesn't usually run off like that, not unless it's towards someone she knows.
no subject
[ How could he even respond to this? He didn't know what to say, or how to even act. ]
[ It didn't help that Viktor looked more like a scared little kid just moment's before; completely different from the image he had of him growing up. ]
M-more like she found me.
no subject
She's good at doing that too.
[ Viktor tilts his head suddenly, free hand raising to press a fingertip to his lip. ]
... I know you, don't I?
no subject
I doubt it. I'm Yuuri Katsuki.
no subject
Yuuuuuuri ... Of course I know you!
no subject
[ Did that mean that Viktor de-aged, but kept his memories...? ]

[ O-oh... oh god, he had written him a letter when he was really young! And he actually remembered it!? Oh no, no, no; that was too embarrassing. ]
Th-that is... I mean...
no subject
[ He smiles wider at that, the natural heart shape of his mouth showing. The uncertain worry from before has completely disappeared. He tilts his head again though, looking at Yuuri closely again. ]
There's something else though ...
no subject
S-something else?
no subject
[ Viktor thought he knew the other Seniors by now?? ]
no subject
Ah... no. We're going to next season, but not yet.
no subject
[ Viktor Nikiforov, blunt as ever.
But there's something else about this Yuuri, something familiar that he can't put his finger on ... ]
no subject
[ How to even explain any of this? He had no idea; only thing he knew was his heart was hurting and it made it hard to think. ]

[ Because if Viktor didn't remember him, then telling the truth wasn't going to go over well. Maybe not in the same way that it went over with Yuri, but it definitely wouldn't be well received at any rate. ]
[ Didn't make it hurt any less though. ]

[ He drags out the vowel a little too long, trying too hard with the Japanese pronunciation. He reaches out with the hand not on Makkachin for Yuuri’s wrist, not quite touching him. ]
Something is wrong, isn't it? I know that look on your face.
[ ... Wait, what? He blinks, surprised at himself. ]
no subject
Viktor...
[ But the problem was, should he encourage that? Was that what got this stupid aging thing to reverse itself? He didn't know; this place gave him a headache. ]
