WHO: Tatsuya and Adachi
WHERE: Outskirts of Heropa

[ After a conversation with Adachi, Tatsuya had somehow ended up arranging to meet with the guy to train their Personas— It was one parts curiousity at meeting another Persona user, one parts curious about meeting Adachi in particular, and one parts genuine desire to stretch out and use Apollo. He wanted to stay sharp in case he ever needed to use Apollo again— especially since he seemed to be the only Persona that Tatsuya could use right now, what with the stunning lack of a Velvet Room entrance anywhere in this world.

(Seriously, what was up with that?)

It doesn't take him long to head out once Adachi sends him the GPS coordinates, and Tatsuya's good enough at riding around Heropa's backroads that he gets there in decent time, roaring in on his motorcycle— the same one he had back home actually, due to a certain summoning power that let him keep it so long as he remembered it was there. He steps off the motorcycle, slipping off his helmet and shaking his hair as he looks around— he can sense the presence of another Persona, it was just a matter of pinpointing exactly where the older man is. ]

[ If Tatsuya walks a little more in, he'll find the same place that Adachi was at in the video, if only because it's hard to miss the giant hole in the trees. The man himself is leaning against one of the ones that's still intact, arms folded over his chest, a distinct frown on his face as he glares down at a stump. Funny, there seems to be a bit of blood permanently staining the wood... ]

[ He looked up after a moment, the look on his face melting off into a lazy looking smirk. ]

Hey, glad you made it.

[ That sure is blood staining that wood. Interesting. It might have even been alarming, if Tatsuya were the type to immediately jump to conclusions— but he's just filing that information away for now. It's clearly a well-used practice area, and a pretty good place for it, too.

He offers Adachi a smile as he gets closer. ]

Of course, I've been looking forward to it.

[ It's a pretty genuine statement— he doesn't have a whole lot of preconceived notions of the guy, and he's interested in finding out more about his Persona. ]

[ Adachi let out a snort, trying to keep back the squee he wanted to let out. Only way this could get better was if everyone from Gas Chamber was here, but damn this was still pretty awesome. ]

Never thought I'd hear someone looking forward to fighting with their Persona.

[ ...who was he kidding? He always enjoyed cutting loose. ]

[ He shrugged to himself, pushing off the tree. He grabbed at his shoulder, working it as he rolled his head back and forth. ]

So? How you want to do this?

[ If Jun showed up, no one would be having a bigger reaction than Tatsuya— guaranteed. He doesn't expect that to happen, though, and it's probably for the best— though he would never share thoughts like that out loud. ]

See, you say that and I definitely know you've never seen Eikichi fighting.

[ Boy loves using his Persona to fight anyone and anything that will give him half a chance.

Tatsuya does a quick stretch himself, loosening his muscles up. ]

It probably wouldn't hurt if I show you what I can do first— I've seen your video, so I've at least got an idea about you. Sound good?

[ Adachi grinned at the mention of Eikichi. If he was as passionate about fighting as he was about singing, then seeing him in a fight would be interesting. ]

[ He shrugged after a moment, pointing back to the hole in the trees. ]

Don't worry, I won't be using the big gun while sparring. But yeah, g'head; show me what you can do.

Yeah, that's probably for the best.

[ Tatsuya doesn't need any special tools to call out his Persona— no Evokers, tarot cards, or dramatic mask-rending. He simply raises his arm as he shouts out— ]

Apollo!

[ —and the massive red-and-white-clad deity and piece of his soul rises to the forefront, graceful and proud. Tatsuya thrusts his hands towards a cluster of trees and Apollo sends forth a Maragidyne, fire consuming and rapidly decimating the entire group. Tatsuya then turns his focus to another tree, and Apollo rushes forward and smashes it to pieces with a Gigantic Fist attack. Tatsuya then closes his eyes and lets Apollo return inside of him, taking a deep breath before his gaze shifts back to Adachi. ]

[ The first thought that enters Adachi's head? Thank god the kid didn't need to shoot at himself to summon his Persona. ]

[ Beyond that, it was pretty on par for the course -- almost underwhelming, really. He was expecting something greater than "guy in clown outfit with flame mask". By the time Tatsuya's looking back at him, Adachi's rubbing his nose, trying to keep the disappointed look off his face. ]

Hunh... that's it?

[ Tatsuya blinks at Adachi, utterly unconcerned with the poorly-concealed disappointment. ]

I could be more impressive, but I thought we weren't pulling out the big guns.

Yeah, but... Maragidyne and a big fist is your biggest non-big gun?

[ And seriously, what is with that Persona?! This kid was part of an awesome band! He was expecting like... chains and just... rocking out in the soul or something like that?! ]

[ It was a moment before Adachi just let out a sigh. Well... not everyone could have a cool looking one... he guessed... ]

[ Tatsuya shrugs. ]

I don't know what you were expecting. It's not like I can go to the Velvet Room and pick up something else.

[ That moment when you learn one of your favourite musicians is really just a slightly nerdy guy. ]

'Velvet Room'?

[ Adachi raised an eyebrow. ]

What the heck is that?

[ Tatsuya gives Adachi a puzzled look. ]

You know.... where you go to change out your Personas?

Uhh...

[ Yeah, no. ]

I only know one guy that can do that, but he never mentioned anything about a Velvet Room.

Only one guy who can.... change Personas?

[ He looks bewildered. ]

So what, you've always had just the one?

Yeah...?

[ Adachi's just in a perpetual state of giving him a funny look. ]

I'm not the only one that just has one.

[ It's okay, Tatsuya's giving him several funny looks of his own. ]

This is the first time I've ever heard of people being stuck with just one.

[ Yeah, but, funny story, his is still better than yours. He doesn't say as much, but the small smile on his face probably says it for him. ]

So, what, all of you could go to that Velvet place?

[ That small smile and Adachi's attitude is very quickly making him dislike the man, if he's perfectly honest with himself— he has no problem with his Persona the way it is, but the "I-Am-Superior" attitude is grating at best. ]

Sure, all of us— anyone I knew back home who had a Persona could.

[ Adachi paused, frowning at that. He reached back, rubbing at the back of his neck. ]

...hunh. I mean, I know Persona power is rare as it is, but I wonder why swapping them became a rare power?

[ The question curbs Tatsuya's irritation, and he considers that thoughtfully, pulling out his lighter and flicking it open and shut. ]

It's a good question. Obviously, I can't speak from past the point I'm from... But there must have been something that triggered it.

[ Adachi's face scrunched up in thought, before he just shrugged. Well, whatever; he could ask Yu or something later. He pushed himself off the tree after a moment, just shrugging. ]

Well, I guess we can do this thing.
