[ weeks have passed since diana of themyscira's arrival. her search for ares has taken a temporary detour, and she isn't content with this revelation, by any means. however, there is still a great deal to explore in this realm. each new day brings with it a new experience and adventure.

and well, it's safe to say that she stands out. adorned in her amazonian armor, as well as armed with her sword and shield, diana hasn't quite learned how to blend in among the crowds. fortunately for her, in a world full of superheroes, she doesn't appear that abnormal.

stepping out of a coffee shop with a pastry in hand, diana returns to her stroll. along the way, she offers a warm smile to the citizens who wave at her, admiring yet another defender of justice who is prepared to protect the city. ]

[Bruce is, in his characteristically dramatic fashion, sitting beneath an umbrella at the patio outside, black coffee in hand. He calls out to her, unsure himself of any mutual familiarity (or not) that may exist between them yet.]

[Well, her response gives an answer to his curiosity almost immediately. That may make things a little more difficult, but no matter...]

This isn't ideal, but the two of us have known each other for a long time. I'm afraid this sort of thing happens a lot here. [He gestures to the open seat.] Please.

[ they've known each other for a long time, right. her brow lifts, skeptical at first, though somehow, she can still tell — there's a truthful edge to his words.

while she doesn't remember him, recognition suddenly lights her eyes. ]

I've seen your face before. [ not personally perhaps, but throughout the news. his reputation precedes him. after a pause, diana sits down. ] Bruce Wayne, isn't it?

That's right. [He pauses, staring at her.]

You look different, but you're definitely her. [A pause.] What I should have said is that I've known another version of you for a long time. Still, if you don't know me, it's possible I don't even exist where you come from... or you haven't left Themyscira yet.
