the atoms in your body are as old as every dinosaur
WHO: Skeets & OPEN !!
WHERE: all over
WHEN: April?
WHAT: just a couple open log prompts tbh
WARNINGS: nah
Robot (anywhere)
[ Skeets is used to crises -- he's from the DC Universe, there's always a new crisis around the corner. Something odd is going on? Just that time of the month. He's been feeling particularly useless recently, however. It seems he hasn't helped with anything at all -- but what's he supposed to do? Save time when he doesn't know how this timeline is supposed to go?
What he is doing, however, is checking to see if people are who they say they are. So, with no particular tact, when someone stands out in any way he's hovering up to them and scanning their DNA. ] Scan complete. Hm. Interesting.
[ Maybe it's "interesting, you're completely normal", maybe it's "interesting, your dna isn't human? ]
Human, sort of. (anywhere)
[ It's been a while since he really tested this particular power, but while investigating, he spots a food truck selling deep fried candy bars, which he's never had. One second you may see a robot fly up to the truck, the next second there's a burst of gold smoke with -- are those stars? And there's a man in a ochre suit standing where the robot was. ]
One -- oh, excuse me, I hope I had money on me the last time I was human...
[ He begins to search his pockets. ]

thread for BASE ONE peeps, feel free
It was an odd piece of architecture - it literally felt out of time, like something Skeets would have seen in his own time and not this era. This time instead of going straight to Kay's place to check if he's there, he lingers around the building, casually scanning the schematics. You can find him there, hovering around oddly outside. ]
Fascinating.
[ Then he goes inside in an attempt to find his boyfriend. ] Kaytoo?

He gives a series of beeps and whistles, before remembering that Skeets wouldn't know binary, and instead opens up a private text comm channel over the network.]
Hello, Skeets. I am BB-8. I am sorry I did not recognize your presence on the security feed, or I would have said hello earlier. Do you need assistance?
no subject
Hello, BB-8. I don't need any assistance, thank you. I came to visit Kaytoo, but I hope I'm not interrupting your work.

.. oh.
he unfreezes, easing himself slowly back down onto the edge of the bed, still a little wild-eyed despite himself. he was expecting something like this to happen eventually, but not quite under these circumstances. ]
Apologies, [ he manages after a moment, accent heavier than usual as he tries to sort his head into some sort of order. ] I keep.. forgetting. [ that this place is supposedly safe. ] You're Skeets, yes?
no subject
I'm sorry for intruding, Mr. Andor.
[ It's weird to be asked who he is, though. It hasn't quite clicked yet, though. ]
You are correct, I'm Skeets. ...Are you feeling alright, sir?

Human in Heropa?
You're not usually human?
[He doesn't realise they'd briefly communicated before through text.]
no subject
Correct. Normally I'm a robot, and much... smaller.
no subject
[He seems to be thinking that over for a moment before he goes on.]
You prefer this?
[He waves toward Skeets to indicate the way he looks now.]

roboscan
[Lucina blinks, staring with confusion as said scan is quickly undergone. she has a cute paper bag with a cuter cupcake inside -- that was much more on her mind than...this.
"scan complete"]
"Scan complete"-? I beg your pardon?
no subject
No need to worry, ma'am. I'm merely running an experiment. Your scan is normal, though I have detected faint traces of chronal energy. Unusual.
[ Which isn't concerning, but odd. ]
no subject
"Chronal" energy? Forgive me, but... What does that mean?
do i actually know how dc time travel science works? no. am i gonna bullshit some stuff anyway? yes

robo
And he's found strolling along a De Chima street, half a second away from taking a bite out of an ice cream drumstick— but immediately whirls round to face the robot, affronted, ] Scan? What scan?
no subject
Nothing to worry about, sir, I'm running an experiment. Do you mind telling me your name?
no subject
Dunno, I might do. That depends on the experiment.

Ooo, magic! I love magic shows.

[ He sort of looks down at the coins at his feet, as a quarter still spins half-heartedly and looks back up at Linda. ]
Yes, that was magic you witnessed, but I'm sorry, did you drop these?
[ He's confused. ]

[Her hands are currently clasped together in excited anticipation. Wait too long, though, and she'll start reaching over to check him for hidden birds, snakes, flowers, and scarves all on her own.]

Dustin is just staring up at him with his jaw slack, awed. He blinks after a moment, getting a grip on himself, but pulls out a few extra bills, crumpled up from having been in his pocket for a while.]
I can cover it for you, I've got the money.

That's very kind of you, sir. I can reimburse you as soon as possible.
