A reception hall in Maurtia Falls has been done up for the occasion - there's lots of green, lots of fresh flowers, and fairy lights. There's a lot of food, of all sorts, mostly Earth food though. There's an open bar, and a dance floor and a DJ who can play whatever kind of music you want.

Kanan and Hera are finally, finally getting married. Come celebrate with them. Try not to abuse the open bar.

This whole thing is as much about their friends, about throwing a party because they can, as it is about the two of them. But when it comes time to make his vows, this is the moment where everything else falls away, and it's just him, just her. Her hands warm in his.

"I was lost, when we first met," he begins, his words loud enough to carry, sure, but directed at Hera. Meant for her. "I didn't have a direction for my life, and I liked to think I didn't much care. Up until you came into it, that is. And it was you, more than anyone else, who set me on the path - the path I needed, the path I was meant for. I'm so, so glad I've been on this path with you, Hera. I love you, and I cherish you. Always, no matter what. That's my vow to you."

Ahsoka takes the moment to be the first to say something. For the entire party seems to be in such high spirits at the moments, and for good reason. They all literally needed a moment of good, and these two are all the reason needed. She clinks her glass, standing to gain the attention of others.

"I would like to start us off with a well deserved congratulations to the now happily married couple. "Marriage" is simply a joining of two people, fused together as one working pair, promised to each other. To stand by each other through the best and the worst of times. With that in mind, these two have been married for far longer than today. Much longer than I have known them."

"In the far too short of time since I have met them, they already worked as a well oiled machine. They stand by each others side in the best and the worst of times. An entire war could not stop their love and devotion towards each other. Even a place like this, where everything is a little stranger than normal, and time has almost no meaning."

"And we should let time have no meaning. This place is a second chance for all of us. A place where we can do the things that seem impossible to find the time to do back home. Like bringing these two together again. This time in an official way."

She glanced to Kanan and gave a soft bow. "Kanan. I didn't want to bring Jedi politics into this, but I think it needs to be said. The Jedi did not believe in attachments like this. That feelings like this could take you on a path no one should travel. I think they're wrong, at least for our time and age. I think it's people like you that shape our future. Your love and devotion to Hera and those around you have only made you stronger and has made the rest of us better for it. You're a good man, a Light worth following, and soemone who has his head firmly in place on his shoulders, though I think Hera has helped in bolting it down."

Then to Hera she smiled bigger. "Hera. Without you this man by your side might never have found his way. You are strong and intelligent and great at everything you set your mind too. You are a light in the Force that calls people to you for guidance and leadership, but more importantly, friendship. You are a brilliant woman, and even I have found myself lingering in your Light."

"The two of you together feels as natural as breathing, and though you are only just married as of today, you have been an unstoppable force for years and years now. My only wish for today is that the rest of our friends could be here to see this splendid occasion. I am sure even they would stand up here with me today and raise a glass in your honor. Kanan. Hera. I can't be more pleased to have the two of you as not only my confidants and comrades in arms, but more importantly, my friends."

She raised her glass to both of them at this point. "May your lives be happy and long here. May the years show you a kindness for every trouble you have already had to face together. May a smile and a warm embrace met every oddity and hardship this place has to throw at you from now on. And, May the Force be with you both. Always."

At that she takes a sip of her drink, in a toast to the couple, then backs away to leave the floor open to others.
