WHO: Thrawn and Armitage Hux
WHERE: De Chima #8
WHEN: March 28th
WHAT: Hux wanted to speak at once
WARNINGS: None anticipated? Will edit if need be.
[ Calmly standing alone in the front room with his hands clasped behind his back is not how Thrawn usually spends his time here. He has been having to wear the gloves given to him by Hux almost all the time.
No doubt this would have something to do with the Stormtrooper and Dameron. The problem was that Thrawn couldn't be sure what. ]

He hated being kept in the dark more than anything. Learning Thrawn had been aware of the situation meant that apparently he and the Grand Admiral were on the same page. He still knew little of Thrawn but he knew if he was going to claim Palpatine's throne- whether now or in the future- he had to handle the situation.
He was out of uniform when he entered the room but still held himself stiffly, clasping his hands behind his back.]
Admiral.
[He looked Thrawn over with a neutral expression. He wasn't sure what to expect but that didn't mean he would back down.]
It has come to my attention you were aware of Dameron's deception to TK-622.

Thrawn had observed nothing to make him alter his first assessment of the General: he commanded with fear. He commanded with fear and called that respect. The idea this man was now calling himself 'Emperor' was disturbing.
Thrawn kept the same expressionless mask he always had. No body language. Where someone else to see them, They may note how similar their stance looks. ]
It seemed prudent to give the disruption to time my full attention.

[Hux knew if he allowed himself to get worked up that would be showing weakness. He couldn't do that here and now. Yet there was a hard look in his eyes, his voice was firm.
He realized that giving orders to someone like Thrawn would mean having to stand his ground.]
Explain.

[ I have no reason to explain myself to you.
There are many stories and myths about the Chiss. One must always approach them from a place of strength for they must believe any promise made to them will be kept. Right now Hux is not in that kind of position, regardless of what he calls himself. ]
I am also not certain what your intent in calling me here is.

[Hux stepped closer to Thrawn, not at all afraid. A claim to a title was one thing, he had to embody it now.
He lifted his chin, giving Thrawn an even look.]
I know you don't know the full extent of what Dameron is capable of but you have experience with rebels in your time, do you not?

[ Looking down in order to stay at eye level, Thrawn watches Hux approach with the same expressionless mask he always wore. ]
I did not discover it was actually Dameron until recently.
[ Which is a half-truth, but still. ]

[Hux thinned his lips tightly, clasping his hands behind his back. He didn't care that he had to look up at Thrawn, he felt secure enough not to be intimidated by that.]
I'm sure Vanto has told you I am Palpatine's successor as I've recently taken his throne. I take that duty very seriously, admiral. I expect to be informed of any developments concerning Imperial or First Order troops and officers immediately so I can take care of any issues.

Should your intervention become necessary, I will of course inform you.

[Hux was not going to let Thrawn cut him out of the loop that easily. He didn't care if anyone didn't want him on the throne, it was his- at least here- and he wasn't going to let go of it.]
wtf is up with my icons
Well.
Better Hux dislike him at least.]
And what circumstances would those be?

I know you are unaware of Dameron's...antics but in the future, I want to know of anything relating to him.
[He let out a breath, slightly relaxing as he smirked then.]
I have heard many things about you, Admiral Thrawn. I'm sure you won't disappoint me.
