WHAT: Adachi had a hell of a month last month between Dooku and the election. Now he's got time to decompress. More prompts to be added through the month.

[ Adachi's spending most of his time in bars this month. Now that he's got time to pull his mind together and process everything else that happened last month outside of Dooku and the election, the gravity of what he did and what he lost hit him hard. Of course, when he was feeling down, the obvious answer was booze. Lots of booze. ]

[ So he was traveling around at night when he wasn't busy with other things, picking a bar and drinking until he had to stumble out of the establishment. This was a healthy way of dealing with his problems, right? At least it was easy for anyone that wanted to to find him. ]

[ Ice Rink | Heropa | Open ]
[ When he wasn't getting drunk, Adachi was going to the rink. Now that he had done his little performance for Viktor, he didn't really have a reason to be practicing with the same insistence as before, but he still found himself drifting there every now and then. He wasn't working on anything in particular; just letting his feet do the moving. He really didn't know what he was going to do with this hobby now, but skating at night? Definitely helped him relax more than booze. ]

[ Anyone can easily come to the rink at night, and they'd be able to see him on the ice. Riza is curled up on his coat, half asleep, her tail wagging back and forth lazily. Adachi will stop for anyone that wants to talk, though Riza is always up for being pet as well. ]

I'm feeling deja vu, only this time I'm the sober one. [archie shakes his head, bomping adachi's shoulder.] What's the occasion, big man?

[ Adachi picked himself up off the bar, a mild smile on his face as he nursed his drink. ]

M’not bein’ loud ‘n rowdy. ‘M just bein’ a sad drunk.

[ Oh and he is drunk by the time Archie came over to sit next to him. It’s a wonder he can stay on the stool. ]

Dio’s gone.

[ And down goes the current glass he had in hand. ]

[archie sighs, putting a hand on adachi's back. he's been at it, too, but he's only like... just tipsy.]

[ Adachi shook his head mournful. ]

[ Adachi let out a whine at that, flopping his head on the counter. ]

[he rubs adachi's back briefly, then lets his hand drop down.]

He didn't leave cause of you, [archie says, thinking of when matt left because of him.] so that's something. I'm sure if he had a choice he woulda stayed.

[ The chance of ever seeing him again was shit and he knew it, which made things even worse. After a moment, Adachi let out a sigh, pushing himself back upright. ]

S’what’s worse is m’pretty sure he’d’ve stabbed me in th’ back at the first opportunity. He’w’s fulla shit like Dooku is. He’w’s jus’ better at makin’ pretty words.

[ Adachi shot him a bland look at that. ]

[ Viktor was on his way home when he passed by one of the bars in Heropa, just glancing into the window when—waitasecond. He backs up a step or two to peer into the window with purpose now, definitely catching sight of his friend. With only a half second of deliberation, Viktor steps into the bar to sit next to him. ]

Tohru~ isn't this where we met on your birthday?

[ Adachi turned in surprise, wavering on his seat. He's already a few sheets to the wind, and he just looks sad. ]

Oh. Heyya, Viktor.

[ Oh wow, Adachi's sloshed already, if his balance wasn't telling then expression is. ]

Ah, is everything okay, Tohru?

[ Adachi waved a hand, waving in place, before grabbing his drink and downing it. ]

[ How many drinks is that now? He can't tell when the staff takes the empty glasses away so quickly. He leans his elbow on the table and his chin into his hand. ]

What kind of same? I thought you just got done with doing something different?

[ Don't ask, Viktor. Don't ask. Adachi flopped forward on the counter, waving for another drink. ]

Nah, same porter shit.

[ He fell quiet, watching the bartender get him another drink. ]

...remember th' time I called you t'help me get home alright?

[ He tilts his head in his hand. ]

From that hotel?

[ Adachi fell quiet, before he reached into his shirt, pulling out a gold chain with a fancy diamond encrusted "D" charm on it. It probably costs more than his whole damn wardrobe. ]

...I started seein' him.

[ Viktor's eyebrows rise up at the sight of it, surprised expression mixed with confusion as well, not getting the significance of it yet. ]

Wow! Where did you get that?

[ A beat, then a blink. ]

You started ... seeing the vampire you were with?

[And someone is outside at this hour when he notices Adachi stumbling out of an establishment close by.

Well. If that didn't give him back flashbacks of the Dojima residence...]

[ Adachi paused his stumbling, peering at Yu, as if to check to make sure which grey haired brat he was looking at, before waving a hand. ]

M'fine, Yu. M'still upright 'n eve'ythang.

Of course we do do you really want Yu skating anywhere near him anyway

[Oooh boy. That did remind him a lot of Dojima.]

That's true, but you'll probably feel really bad tomorrow. It might be best if we take you home. Riza needs to take her walk each morning, right?

[ When it came to Adachi, Yu was always the adult. Adachi let out a hiccup, practically flopping himself forward. ]

S'fine. Nanites, Yu-kun! It'll only hurt fer a little while.

[Yeah, keep flopping forward Adachi. Yu knows enough that even if there's the 'nanites' that he mentions, nothing can cure a hangover like some bed rest and plenty of water. He moves and grabs one of other arms. Something exactly that Adachi would do with Dojima, honestly.]

[ Adachi's not really in a state to argue with Yu, but he does seem like he's trying to go full liquid on him, if the way he flops against him is any clue. ]
