WHO: Clarke & Lucina
WHERE: De Chima
WHEN: Afternoon
WHAT: Just another day working at the O'Malley Clinic.
WARNINGS: n/a
[clarke had been working at the clinic for almost a month now and though getting a job made her feel like she was becoming too complacent or accepting of her situation, she knew it was something she had to do to get by in this place.
it was so different from being back home and having to deal with one crisis after another so it sometimes she felt a bit out of place and not sure what to do with herself at times because free time is such a foreign concept. she make her way to the clinic to work a shift in the afternoon and it's not long before she reaches there, opening the door and dropping her bag near the locker area and she easily spots lucina already preoccupied with something when she approaches]

Hey Lucina!

no: Lucina is here at the clinic, still bedecked in her combat gear and cape...putting equipment away.
(hey, at least some of the few kids who came in today got a kick out of it? and she's actually too tired to feel silly.)]
Ah-? [she turns, blinking, then breaks out into a kind smile.]
Oh, Clarke. Greetings! It's been quite a while, hasn't it?

Indeed it has. My cousin's television show has turned out to be...quite the adventure, truly. And it's not over yet. I'm actually due to head back out there in a few hours; I deemed it wise to spend some time before then helping out. Perhaps remind you and the others I've not vanished.
[but she'd rather not spend all her time speaking of herself -- she's the one who's been dealing with herself all this time! she shakes her head a little.]
But what of you? Have you been well?
no subject
[she does laugh slightly though] Yeah, I definitely see that you haven't disappeared. I've been good— I've just been trying to keep busy where I can.

still, less said about...some of the antics afoot on that island, the better, she thinks.]
I'm glad. I'm relieved that this city has some measure of peace. My growing worry has been that this world is too often in a state of unrest... hence why I left when the call to arms came.

I can understand your worries though— did going help at all? [clarke knew what lucina was talking about and though it might have been something she could have involved herself with, she didn't rust much of anything with the government here or what they were doing especially since she still remains unregistered too]
no subject
I can't say I know for certain if what I've done to help was enough. Or if that's only the start. Only time will tell. I can say that...at least... [she nods once more, more certain.] I'm glad I went. And I'm glad my blade could do something to help. With all that's different here, at least I can do this small bit.

well, it's as Clarke's said: so far so good, right? everyone's safe, and that's enough for her. gods forbid Owain get swept up into yet another conflict and--]
Ah-!! [she startles suddenly, looking back, eyes big.] Oh, no. Clarke? What--what time is it right now?

[she huffs, pushing away from the table to stand up, grimacing.] Forgive me, I've lingered too long. I have to return to the airport and head back to the island. [a weak smile:] Apparently, Owain has some task for me in store in regards to his strange television competition...

[she looks slightly apologetic in response for a few moments] We can catch up later, okay?
no subject
[she bows again, but this time less deeply because she's really got to go. with a wave, she turns on her heel and darts out the door, shouting another good-bye! that's muffled by traffic as she launches herself into the air and heads off toward the airport.]
