WHO: Freyja and YOU
WHERE: Various places in Heropa

WHAT: A bunch of things, mostly singing for crowds, exploring, and hanging out with friends.
WARNINGS: I don't think there'll be any.

A. Singing for the crowds.
[By now, it's not unusual for Freyja to be found on the streets and singing. She's been making an effort to perform for people, whether she knows them or not, because singing makes her happy and she wants to try to make them feel happy. That's why, almost daily, she tends to just pick a street corner and turn her music player up to about as loud as it can possibly get. Not that that's loud.

Her rune even sparkles and shines as she sings, which tends to cause a gathered crowd to clog the sidewalks because that's still something kinda new and different even in such a crazy world.

She does, at least put on a pretty good show with what she's working with though.

And for anyone that wants to talk to her, she does stick around for awhile to talk to people when she's done. It's similar to what she did when she worked with her group back home.]

B. What's this, what's this!?

[Alternatively, in Heropa, there's a girl getting lost just about everywhere she goes. Everywhere. That doesn't make her any less enthusiastic though, even as she stops by the varying restaurants and stores that line the streets. That's why she's turning to you and tugging on your sleeve, a look of wonder just plastered across her face.]

Look, look! Did you see that!? Isn't that cool??? Is everything on Earth like this?

C. [CLOSED TO HAJIME]

[While volunteering and singing and preparing for their concert is fun and all, Freyja did want to do something else with Hajime too. That's why she made sure they had time for a friend date or something, so they could do things not their usual fare.]

Okay Hajime! We gotta decide, what do you want to do?? And it can't be any of the usual stuff.

Ehh, I'm deciding?

Um... [ He furrows his brow and presses a finger against his cheek, trying to think... ] Mm...~

Ah! I haven't made candles since November... do you know how to do that, Freyja-chan?

[livesfastdiesung]

Ehhh, kinda, but only the really simple kind. Mama and papa taught me how to make 'em when I was little!

[Though at that point, Windermere was starting to change over to actual technology... but that doesn't mean much when she lived out in the sticks.]

[looseleaves]

Hmm, what about ones with scents? I use them to relax~ it'd probably be a good idea since we're getting so busy, right?

[livesfastdiesung]

Ehh, you think it could get stressful? [Listen, it's been awhile since anything's really stressed her out. In relation to singing, at least.] Then if you think we gotta, then we should! We can make a whoooole collection of stuff.

[looseleaves]

Well, it's a new place for both of us, isn't it? You haven't been to Earth before, so there's no telling what we'll run into... staying calm and thinking positive is what we should be doing, right?

If we're going to do a whole collection, it'd be kind of fun. We could hand some out for our friends, too!

[livesfastdiesung]

I was always gonna think positive no matter what! [She doesn't say anything about staying calm, though. She knows that it's not her strong point.] Let's go, the sooner we go the sooner we can make tons of all of our friends. We can give 'em a part of ourselves that way.

[looseleaves]

You're really pumped up about this... ♪

[ He gets up, reaching out for her hands to help her up. ]

Well, we're going to have to go to a few stores first.

[ That look of wonder will probably never, ever get old. Iris grins, reaching for Freyja's hand and squeezing it tight.

They might be eying a row of fancy cakes, but food - any kind of food - deserves to be celebrated. ]

Oh yeah. In fact, if you think this was pretty awesome, the other Porter cities have 'em in spades.

[livesfastdiesung]

[While most places inhabited by humans had some characteristics of how things generally looked, every planet had their own spin on it for their own native humanoid. Seeing everything just like this was amazing. Earth was amazing. Holy windbags it was so cool.]

They do?? [She spins to look at Iris, squeezing her hand back.] I'm gonna have to take advantage of the porter then... do you think they'd let me just for that?

[eloquentness]

[ She nods, ] You're registered, right? If that's the case, they don't really care how often you go. I work in De Chima, for example, so I use it pretty much every day.

[ Which isn't the best commute ever, but you know. She manages to make it work. ]

Well, yeah, 'course I am! It just seemed like the right thing to do. If Hajime and I get popular we're probably gonna have to use it a lot anyway. At least easy travel is somethin' we get to have...

[Well, at least there's that. She'll do what she must in the sake of exploring the world.]

When you and Hajime get popular. [ Iris laughs, ] Knowing you, I feel like it's only gonna be a matter of time - and the Porters are super easy. Like life-changing easy.

When. Yeah, that sounds better. It's bound to happen, ain't it? Everyone's gonna go around goin' all, "Did you hear their newest song?? It's so deculture!" and it's gonna be great.

[But still, on the topic of porters.]

Probably should see if we can put on concerts in the other cities, too...

[breaks_pots]

This time around one of her audience members is a small child, barely 3ft tall, dressed in green and sporting a child-sized sword and shield on his back. He sits on a bench opposite her, smiling brightly and swinging his legs through the whole song. And when she gets to the end, joins in on the applause the rest of the small crowd gives her. Then he hops down and jogs over, looking at her curiously. She hadn't had an instrument to sing along to, but she'd made music all the same. Did that mean she could make music just because she wanted it?

He bounced on his toes, hands behind his back, looking around her, obviously trying to find something, before he pulls out a small, pink ocarina and holds it up. Points at it, then at her, and tilts his head in question.

[livesfastdiesung]

That confuses her. She doesn't put two and two together so she doesn't quite understand what he wants, but still, she kneels down in front of him and points at the ocarina. Freyja's curious, at least, and obviously genuinely interested in it.

"Ehhh, I dunno what that is! Is it somethin' cool?"

[breaks_pots]

Oh, that's uh... Now Link looks a little embarrassed. He'd been trying to get her to show him her music maker. by showing her his. Except she didn't know what his did. That made the comparison a little harder.

He looked down at the ocarina, then lifted it up and put it to his lips and played a short song. Afterwords, he smiled and put it down. Followed by a finger pointing at her chest. It was her turn to show her music maker.

Maybe now she'd understand? If not, that was okay. He could try to figure out other ways of asking.

Freyja does pause to think about it this time, though she does applaud when he finishes his short song. Still, though. Does he want her to sing that song? Did he just want someone to play music with? It doesn't hurt to ask, at least, since that's the impression she's getting at the moment.

"D'you just want someone to sing for you? 'Cause I don't mind if that's what you want!"

[breaks_pots]

Link frowns and shakes his head. Not that he minded her song, but that's not what he was trying to ask. He takes a few seconds to think about this.

Slowly, he points to the ocarina, then to his chest, then brings it to his lips and plays a couple notes.

Then he lowers it and points at her as if to say, 'now your turn'.

She points at herself, too, thinking again. And then, it hits her. She pulls out her music player and the song starts again. It's the same song that was just playing, except this time it's got the voices of others singing the song rather than just being an instrumental track.

"This?"

[ After having lived in Heropa for a number of years now, Jaime does very little looking around at where he lives to see it from an outside perspective; instead, he simply wanders the place in the drowsy, absent sort of way of someone who's used to seeing the same sights day after day after day. It's not that he minds that sort of casual familiarity - he had only ever lived in one place before coming here, after all - but it does mean that being confronted with the face of an excited young lady has him doing a doubletake, glancing around their surroundings with a bewildered expression on his face. ]

Oh, um - yes? I think? [ He lowers his voice. ] What are we looking at?

[livesfastdiesung]

The shop window!! Look at it! Isn't it cute? It's so cozy lookin'!

[Seriously, get with the program!!!! She doesn't seem perturbed at him not noticing in the slightest, and doesn't even miss a beat in her own response to him.]

Oh. I mean, yeah, it does! I'm sure that the owners would be really happy to hear you say that.

[ Okay, they'd probably think it's weird, but you can get away with saying a lot of weird stuff when you're a kid. And hey, they probably would appreciate it! Someone has to design those storefronts. ]

What's it like where you're from, then?

[See, important things no matter what.]

Different. Umm.. I guess it's kinda hard to describe, but where I'm from, everything looked lots older than this, but then where I went, everything was wayyyyy more modern? When I was on Ragna, they had all kinds of jellyfish everywhere.

[So, weird. Who knows. Things varied pretty wildly between all the planets in the galaxy.]

[ Jaime pauses. There's a whole lot of that that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and he tries to puzzle over it for a moment before settling on the easiest question (which, unfortunately, has nothing to do with jellyfish; he has a few images floating around in his mind of either a very cool underwater city or creepy floating jellyfish that just kinda float around, kind of like the ones Kaidan and Shepard had showed him). ]

So, where you're from, which... isn't Ragna? Are those different countries, or different worlds?

[livesfastdiesung]

[It probably doesn't help that slowing down isn't necessarily one of her strong suits here, because she can go a mile a minute before realizing she needs to slow down and then she has to backtrack a ton to make anything make sense.]

Planets. Like... Ragna is one planet, but I'm from Windermere, which is another planet.
