PROMPT 0 - THE FOOL IN GREY HAIRED CLOTHING (CLOSED TO ADACHI AND VIKTOR)

It was his first day in the city. While Yu didn't quite feel comfortable being here yet, he knew that staying inside his home wouldn't be useful in the long run. And so, early that morning, he had stepped out and began to walk the nearly-empty streets that were currently populated only by those who did very early morning work...

...and the cats.

True, it wasn't one of these new 'powers' he was given, but Yu always had a fondness for the felines. He didn't have much in food yet, but here he was, giving them a small can of tuna as a few more moved around him. The gentle nature of the boy seemed to calm them down as he tool solace in them to feel a little bit better.

Knelt down, hE didn't notice the figure approaching behind him.

PROMPT I - THE MAGICIAN INSIDE YOUR TV (OPEN)
Getting to know a new power meant he had to practice. The file he was given made it sound silly, but to Yu, the idea of moving inside of a TV was almost second nature by now. However this seemed to imply more - anything with a screen seemed to be good enough for him to try it out--so he did. At first in his own home, he threw his head inside of his television - unwittingly ending up in someone else's home.

And so an unsuspecting person's computer, tv or even phone screen would be fill with something that shouldn't be there. Sometimes just a single finger that poked in before moving back, sometimes a tiny bit of a face or just a single ear. Sometimes half of a body coming out of a much larger screen that could support him. Yu's face didn't seem to petered when he showed up. If he couldn't speak, a pair of lips would show up so he could say something.

"Ahh. Sorry. I'm just trying to practice."

Sometimes that would end with a thumbs up coming up instead.

PROMPT II - THE READINGS OF A HIGH PRIESTESS (OPEN)
The smoke and crystal ball were mostly for show at the Fate Or Flight. Yu was sitting on his side, wearing a black cloak and having redecorated the place briefly to include a bit more blue, he was shuffling the tarot cards nodding to himself.

"So what is your question today?"

Please don't mind him looking at a book as he works - he's still trying to get all of these meanings. Margaret would be much better at him in this...

PROMPT III - A WILD EMPRESS (OPEN)

[ Said figure looks like he's about to go on a run, dressed in sweats, hoodie, and running shoes, bringing his large brown poodle along with him for the exercise, taking it easy until they arrive at their normal spot to start their morning run. Makkachin is calm enough to not scare off the cats either, her gentler disposition winning out as she comes up to sniff at a few cats in curiosity.

Even more important though was the pungent tuna put out for them. Food? Food for Makkaachin?? Her owner pulls at her shoulders to get her to back off. ]

Ah, ah, that's not for you, Makkachin! Sorry about that!

[A few of the cats hiss away at the sight, but most are more interested in the food than some dog showing up. Yu gave one a final pat before standing up...

Wow, this guy could have passed for a twin almost! He gave him a smile .]

Don't worry. That's a cute dog. [Does Makkachin want pettings? Cause she's getting petting before he extends his hand to the other.] ...I'm Yu Narukami. It's nice to meet you.

[ Makkachin ALWAYS wants pettings! :D :D She sniffs at his hand first before she headbutts it, tuna entirely forgotten when there's petting to be had.

Viktor takes his hand next for the handshake, pausing before the actual shaking and widening his eyes in a big grin. ]

Wow! We look a lot alike! You're even the same height as me.

[ Viktor ffs, you're 29 years old, not a child to say stuff like that out loud. The surprise distracts him enough from realizing the name is one he's definitely heard before. ]

[That's okay Yu's feeling the same way Viktor. Except he might have a bit of a growth spurt left. Maybe. Who knows. (It is a mystery).]

I thought the same thing when I saw you too!

[He says, as his hand moves back to the pettings. One of the cats gets jealous and jumps on his shoulder. It took, gets a petting. And now his hands are full.]

I just arrived yesterday...I thought I'd get a bit of fresh air.

[ Makkachin likes this boy very much! And Viktor smiles at him, obviously good with animals which gets an automatic pass in Viktor's book. ]

Oh, brand new, huh? Are you settling in alright? Besides the whole sci-fi, stuck in another world thing!

[izanyagi]

[Cats and dogs are the best in whatever universe you are in.]

I'm trying, yeah. I feel strange not being able to communicate with my friends...but if I can help the people of this place, I'm sure they'd understand.

[A pause.]

I really like a lot of the inventions here.

The alligator on the television screen has a human ear.

How odd.

Yusuke stands from the couch in unit fifteen of Heropa's government housing division, where he has lived for the last nine months, and regularly consumes nature documentaries uninterrupted by stray appendages. He crouches down next to the tv, staring at it, squinting...and flicks the earlobe.

"Hello?"

Oh my god Yusuke

Honestly, and ear flicker is not as bad as a bear biting down on your hand. Curiosity gets the better of him and just as the Alligator opens its mouth, the upper body of a boy peeks in, sending ripple-like splashes of color across the screen as he does so, almost as if he's emerging from a body of water...or tv pixels.

"Oh! Hello! I didn't think it would be polite to just show my head in reply, since that would be a bit creepy..."

So you know...half a torso.

Perfect logic.

He jumps back, not at all accustomed to bodies crawling out of his television, falling down on his ass in a highly undignified fashion. Yusuke, ever graceful, corrects himself quickly, propping himself on his knees and peering at not-Viktor through his fingers, pressed together in a square as if a camera. Since arriving in this world, the surreal, absurdist aesthetic has grown on him, he'd drive himself crazy otherwise.

"...would you like to come in?"

He's the best

Yu, on the other hand, assumed that one of Yusuke's powers involved doing that gesture and half-expected to be sent right back to his own apartment.

"Oh! Yes, thank you."

When that didn't happen and he ended up with an invitation, he gave a small nod, beginning to pull himself out before stopping when he had just one leg left inside of it.

"...I should have asked where you live. Just in case I ended up in a different city entirely...I'm still trying out these powers."

So this is a power, and not a freak accident of the Porter. Hadn't Adachi's murders had something to do with climbing in and out of televisions? Yusuke's eyes wander over to the coffee table beside the couch, where his sketchbook sits, and then back to Yu, watching carefully, as if it will make more sense the longer he stares at it.

"We are in Heropa. My name is Yusuke Kitagawa. What, exactly, are these powers?"

I - THE MAGICIAN INSIDE YOUR TV

Hey look, Yu's ended up in Heropa 15 again... except this time it's Shinjiro's phone and not the television set in the living room. He's just finished setting a bowl of food down for Koromaru when he hears said dog barking. Following the dog's gaze, he looks to the phone that had been cast aside on his bed... and sees an ear coming out of it.

"What the hell?"

Shinjiro's pretty sure that's not supposed to happpen.

The ear changes into an eye briefly as Yu looks at the person who is looking at him. Then a mouth.

"Sorry. I am trying to test my powers. Who are you?"

The mouth moves back to the ear. Glorious.

[axeboyfriend]

"Shinjiro. What kind of power makes body parts peek through random phones?"

He sounds more confused than anything else, honestly— it's not like it's a problem, but it's pretty odd. He walks over and picks up the phone, checking it all around as he talks to the ear. Koromaru barks again at the ear, his food ignored for now in favour of the curious unusual human smells coming from the phone.

The mouth moves back.

"Shinjiro...I'm Yu Narukami. As for this power...I had a similar type of power back home in a way but..."

It disappears once more before an eye pops in, looking at the door in surprise before the mouth pops back in in rapid succession.

"An albino shiba...Koromaru?"

[axeboyfriend]

Koromaru's ears perk up at his name, and he wags his tail. On the other hand, Shinjiro jerks in surprise, nearly dropping his phone.

"You know Koromaru?"

That was the last thing he expected out of.... well anyone, outside of maybe Jaime. How did this guy know who Koromaru is?

[ kaneki was just minding his business because that's what he does, turning on the TV over the living room simply to check the news while he took a sip of his coffee.

And then suddenly, there is some guy coming out of the TV and kaneki almost spills the coffee all over the couch as he quickly steps up and gives one stop back away from the tv ]

What the-

what are you doing? [ ARE YOU THE GIRL FROM THE RING OR SOMETHING ]

[Maybe he should expect this effect by now. Still, he's still new to this. A good way to meet new people maybe?]

I'm trying out my new powers. I used to have a similar power back home, but it took me to a different world entirely instead of teleporting me to another screen.

[He had to admit to himself - cool as hell tho.]

Do you want me to leave you alone? Every time I put my hand in the screen I end up in a different place...I don't want to be a bother either.

[ghoulking]

[ oh...kay...? Kaneki just stares at the other for a while ]

That's slightly creepy, isn't it? [ isn't it considered a form of home invasion as well? ]

Hmmm you're right...

[Definitely a home invasion too.]

...I'm sorry for bothering you.

[He takes a quick bow with what body parts he has right now and then starts to retreat back into the screen.]

[Freyja's choice in shows at the moment was just supposed to be a singing show, but then... well, that was happening. Suddenly in the middle of a song, though, a finger pokes out where the singer's mouth should've been.

She stares at it for a short, split second.

Before reaching out to poke his finger with her own.]

What's this!?

[A finger was poked. The hand stops to move as another appears next to it, waving. Yu figured he shouldn't just stick his head in there at first, otherwise it's gonna look more weird than it already is.]

[She waves back, though she's not sure if whoever's there can even see her waving back? Weird, but honestly not the most unusual thing she's ever seen. She didn't even consider that Earth could have such advanced technology! It almost reminds her of the holograms back home.]

Hello! Can you talk?? I'm Freyja!

[izanyagi]

[Suddenly, an eye peers back before an entire head covered in grey hair appears.]

Hello! If you said something I couldn't hear it.

[He can hear the music now.]

Was I interrupting something?

Nah, I just—Hi! I have no idea what's goin' on but it's pretty cool and you're definitely real, right?

[Because it honestly seems more a dream than anything real, wow.]
