Toyland, Toyland

WHO: Utena Tenjou and K31
WHERE: A toystore in downtown Heropa
WHEN: Late January
WHAT: Utena and K31 try to run some errands, and get interrupted by rampaging lumps of plastic. THANKS JOKER
WARNINGS: None!

[Utena doesn't need K31 to come with her while she goes job hunting. But K31 wants to learn more about what this place is like, right? So why not invite her along and explain stuff on the way? It works out best for everyone!

And it's going pretty well! Or at least Utena seems to think so. Well, except for all the places that want you to go online, but she has some applications at least! There's just one more place to go: the toy store. Utena opens the door, only for a toy airplane to zoom out, nearly clipping her hair off]

Whoa! That could have been...

[She trails off when she sees the scene inside. Action figures are climbing up the shelves and the counters. Little green army man are getting in formation on the carpet. A dozen Skippers, Chelseas, and Midges have united together and are trashing every Ken and Barbie in sight. Meanwhile, the shop employees are cowering in the corner, menaced by teddy bears and cute, fluffy bunnies wielding plastic swords and tee ball bats.]

...dangerous...

[No, K31 didn't need to come along with Utena. The girl, though she was young, was plenty capable of taking care of herself. But it did serve as a good opportunity for the woman to get out and see things she would not dare to explore on her own. Whether for ignorance or not thinking to explore as far. It was always a smarter idea to travel with someone who knew where they were going.

It was also a chance for K31 to apply for some jobs of her own. It wasn't that her job currently was out of her comfort zone, but that was the problem. In this place, she was allowed to make the choice of what path she took. This was a good start, wasn't it?

[Her thought is disrupted by the menacing toys running amok in the building as they enter. Not quite what she expected on this little outing.]

What... [She can hardly gather her words, stepping in and over a few tiny soldiers to look around at the mess.]

This isn't normal for a toy store, is it?
