WHAT: Debating and praticing for their first performance together that's actually on purpose.

[Freyja and Hajime had a lot of work to do and not much time at all. A couple of weeks or so at most and they'd be trying out this whole unit thing for real, and while exciting, it did mean that they had to come up with something to do to test the waters. She had lent Hajime her music player for a time so that he could listen to the songs there if he wanted, too. Her original group - and many other legendary singers from her universe - always used love as a constant topic, so it seemed like an okay starting point in all of this preparation.

That's why Freyja is decked out in her practice clothes, thinking.]

Didya get a chance to listen to everything?

[ He pulls away from the bar, quickly bouncing over to backpack so he can get her music player out. It's wrapped in some pretty cloth, probably to protect it, as he hands it over. ]

I think I listened to everything... but it's new technology to me, so maybe I missed something?

The soldier that gave it to me had to show me how to use it to, he said it was an old model and everything!

[She takes it back, unwrapping it and tapping a button with a tiny holoscreen appearing to display the group and the name of the song.]

What songs did stick out to you? We can go through 'em in a bit again too.

Hmmm... there was the--um... [ He closes his eyes and tilts his head as he tries to pick out the rhythm, humming the melody to Ikenai Borderline. ]

Ah~! That one!

[She clicks through her player, putting it down with the tune of Ikenai Borderline playing, slipping into the song like it's second nature to her now.]

[ He watches with fascination, though there are some points where he averts his eyes because wao omg he can't watch this it's too adult...

But he always comes back, nodding his head. With how much he's played it, he remembers the chorus and can sing along with it, but the verses are still a little alien to him. ]

[It's not like she's doing one of Sheryl Nome's dances, Hajime!! When the song is finished, she takes a bow, though.]

Didya like it live? It's always different to hear it live than to just listen to it.

[ He applauds with a smile. ]

It was wonderful, Freyja-chan! I really liked it live~ I'm not sure I could dance the same, though... you're really good at it!

Wellll, we could probably change it, you know? We don't have that much time before the performance, so we're gonna have to change some things just so we can be ready.

[She shrugs. It really wouldn't be that hard to simplify things and just focus more on the vocals for the time being.]

Is there any song you wanted to do, though? If it's going to be our debut...

Mmm... oh! I know! It was a solo, but we can make it a duet...

[She flips through the player again, pulling up the music for God Bless You. She's pretty passionate while singing it, her rune even flashes a bright pink and sparkles as she sings because let's be real here, she's totally thinking of Hayate.]

[ He can't help but watch, transfixed, though he gently starts to sway during the song. ]

Mm... I'm not sure. Isn't this song pretty special to you? [ Hajime raises his hand to press where her rune is, almost mimicking the way she'll cover it up. ]
