The invitations have been sent out over the network and to people with whom the 99 has gotten friendly. The party's official start time is 7pm, but it's open to interpretation - show up whenever you want!

There'll be apps and hors d'oeuvres galore, courtesy of one Charles Boyle, including his famous meatballs. You might hear him asking people what they think of his balls and/or if his balls were good in their mouth. He means the food. He always means the food.

Rosa has gotten enough alcohol to get all of the Porter cities trashed three times over, but feel free to bring whatever you want if you're in that kind of mood. She's gotten the usual selection: beer, wine, some $8 "wine drink," good whiskey, the cheap ass Chinese whiskey Jake tends to buy, scotch, gin, vodka, and just about all the varieties of said alcohol she could get her hands on. She's even got a number of bottles of tequila and has broken out the iron to see if she can finally try and make tequila steam.

As for Jake ... who knows what he's got planned? There are two pong tables, a table for flip cup, a smaller table for Quarters, and another small table for Kings. Rosa told him to go fucking hogwild, so only time will tell as to what Peralta's got up his sleeve.

The later it is into the night, the louder the music, the more drunk the people, and the more shit Rosa's gonna be breaking with her super-strength.

They could, sure, but looking after animals costs a lot of money and if you aren't interested in it then it's a lot of work for something that probably won't have as big a payoff as you think. I mean, if you wanna profit off making something that people pay top dollar for because it was made by an import, I dunno. Why not do something more you? Like a line of... punk clothes or something. There's gotta be a company that'd love to do that shit.

[ Even drunk, Sarah sees that face Sarissa's making, and it's like she deflates as she listens to Sarissa tell her why her idea isn't going to work. Really, she knew it was bullshit all along. She'd just been pretending it was the thing that would make her happy in the long run. ]

Hey, but— I mean, I really like that you're thinking of stuff you wanna do, maybe. Just because that might not be the right one doesn't mean that there isn't something out there for yous. And... if artisanal soap and stuff is a thing you think you'd have fun doing, I'll help you figure out how to do it. Okay?

( Gently, she reaches over and nudges Sarah's knee. )

We'll figure out something you'd love to do, and we'll make it happen. I'll do whatever I gotta do. Okay?

( She she's holding out her other hand, pinky extended. Pinky promises are some serious shit, Sarah. )

[ Sarah heaves a sigh and connects her pinky to Sarissa's, but it's halfhearted. ]

I was just pissed off about Alison coming back and immediately making snide comments. I don't give a shit about artisinal soap or whatever. Fuck.

It's okay. Sarah, you've had a hell of a time. But, I mean, the house renovations are coming along good, and... you don't have to rush and figure out something. Between the cop stuff and the tv show, we've got plenty of cash. There's no pressure.

( She's keeping Sarah trapped in this pink promise, btw, as she pours them both another round and splashes in the cinnamon liquor. )

What running a record store? Something focusing on vinyl and merchandise and maybe keeping an ear our for new acts. Shit, you could even have it work as a bit of a venue, with a stage or something. Or— I mean, you're real capable, Saroula. You could do whatever you want. You know I love Ali, but she isn't right about everything.

I know there's no pressure. [ That makes it worst, almost. There's no pressure, so why change? Why do anything different? ]

Yeah. I don't know. Maybe. [ It's a good idea, but she's not sure she wants to commit to hanging out in one place all day long, even if that place is punk. The goats had seemed, in her mind, easier. Not that much of a commitment. Not until she'd faced reality, at least. ]

We could always get a couple goats? I mean, foster them for a rescue place, maybe, as a temporary arrangement. Then you can see if the idea appeals to you more.

( She slides the drink closer to Sarah. )

Sarah gives her a wry smile and finally takes the drink. ]

( Sarissa smiles a little, and taps her glass against Sarah's. )
