[Yurio manages to be prompt even without a specific time arranged to meet. He arrives at the dojo not long past noon and proceed to loiter across the street while he waits for Obi-wan to show his face. Not that he's very sure what Obi-wan looks like... All he knows is the guy's a Jedi, and those guys are into robes, right? So all he has to do is wait for a robed guy to head into the dojo.

...Or he could stand across the street until he gets fed up and enters the dojo himself. Naturally, he sticks out like a sore thumb being one of the only people there who isn't dressed for practice and can't stop looking around the room, trying to figure out where the hell the guy he's supposed to meet is.]

[He wouldn’t have to wait too long. True to his word, Obi-Wan came to the dojo shortly after noon. He would indeed be easy to spot as, yes, he is wearing robes. Nobody has told him he needed to wear anything else, and this was what he knew and was comfortable with. Even if it earned him the occasional strange look.

The man walking briskly into the building and pausing only a few moments in the main hall where teachers and students gathered. He would easily be approached there, but if Yurio took too long he would see the man retreating into the meditation room.]

[It does take Yuri a moment to notice him, and when he does he's almost surprised how easy it is to pick Obi-Wan out now that he's actually here. The man sticks out even more than he does.

He waits until he's sure the other loiterers in the hall are looking elsewhere and follows the jedi into the meditation room.]

Waiting for someone?

[By the time Yuri gets in there, Obi-Wan is already sitting down. His legs crossed and the backs of his hands resting on his knees. His eyes closed in meditation.]

It can be said that one is always waiting. Or in your case, looking.

[He doesn't even bother to open his eyes or look up.]

Aa, I'm паук. [Which, thanks to the translator, really just sounds like "spider" in a thicker than usual Russian accent.

Yuri approaches the man curiously and stops a few feet from him, eyes narrowed suspiciously like he doesn't quite trust that Obi-wan's eyes are actually closed. It sure doesn't seem like the man can't see him right now.]

Are you going to have your demonstration like that?

[Obi-Wan certainly isn't going to be one to judge on strange names.]

It's a pleasure to meet you.

[And Obi-Wan still doesn't move, even as the young man gets closer. Though his lips pull slightly in amusement at the question.]

This is how I prepare for my... demonstrations. I always meditate before training and practice. Patience my young friend.

[ Patience is the worst, but Yuri can suffer through it. He sighs softly and takes a seat on the floor, folding his legs up beneath him. ]

How long do you meditate for?

Depends on how long I’m distracted.

[Yes, he’s telling Yuri he needs to be quiet if he wants him to go faster. The Jedi breathes in and breathes out, finding his center and connecting with the Force.]

[ Yuri responds very maturely by making a face and sticking his tongue out at Obi-Wan. He does, thankfully, quiet down and pull his phone out to distract himself with a game while he waits. ]

[Fortunately, as Yuri falls quiet, it doesn't take Obi-Wan very long. About five minutes or so, before the man opens his eyes again and stands up.]

I'm ready.

Now then, let's move to another room. It sounds like the last class has just finished up.

[So without further ado, Obi-Wan moved into the main hall of the dojo. Where students and teachers were getting ready to leave for a lunch break.]

Oh—yeah, sure.

[ Now that they're actually doing something, Yuri is much more willing to go along with whatever Obi-Wan is asking. He follows him out into the hall and glances at the students trickling out of the building, then back at the Jedi. ]

So, have you got a private room or something?

No, not at all. I just use whatever is available. Around lunch is usually the best bet.

[Once in the now empty room, Obi-Wan withdraws his weapon. Careful to make sure the young man is at a safe distance before igniting the blue plasma blade. The Jedi twirling is in his hand effortlessly, causing the blade to him with the motion.]

So I take it you’re familiar with Count Dooku’s weapon. What do you know about it?

[ The caution is appreciate, but Yuri takes a few steps back anyway when Obi-Wan activates the light saber. He hasn't had many encounters with these weapons, but the few he has have left him with a healthy respect for the damage they can do. ]

I knew he had powers, but I didn't know he had one of those. The guy I met who had one was Grievous, so I know it can cut through things like butter.

Ah, I see. Well, I can assure you he does have one. Count Dooku was once a Jedi before turning to the Dark Side and joining the Sith. In fact, he was one of the greatest swordsman in our Order.

[Obi-Wan then reaches out with his hand and used the Force to pull over a couple of cement blocks that were standing up on their ends. Then a few wooden boards floated over and settled on top of them. Materials used for the martial arts classes they held here.]

You are right in that they can cut through nearly anything.

[And with that he swung his blade downward. The lightsaber cleanly slicing through the wooden boards with ease. Another slash then came from the side and did the same to the concrete blocks. Leaving both materials smorldering where they had been cut.]

In fact I have yet to find any materials in this world that a lightsaber can not penetrate.

[ Yuri waits until Obi-wan has finished the swing, making sure it doesn't look like he's going to repeat the demonstration before stepping forward to pick up one of the sliced boards for a curious look. It seems even more devastating looking at the damage from this close... ]

The best, huh... And he's got that force power too, right? [ He gestures at the rest of the boards with the one he's holding. ] The way you made those float over.

He does, yes.

[This said as he tilted the blade down so that Yuri could approach safely.]

Our techniques and methods differ in some ways, but the concepts are mostly the same. I certainly do not recommend that anyone engage the Count, or Grievous, in a fight. Unless you have a sure plan. They are both very powerful and capable warriors, among the best where I come from. To fight them recklessly would only get you hurt, or worse.

In fact, I have dueled with the Count on more than one occasion and have never defeated him.

Trust me, there's no way I want to deal with either of those guys if I can avoid it. That Grevious guy is insane.

[ It had been a particularly bad first (and thankfully only) meeting. ]

But isn't there any weakness to that stuff? Or limitations?

I won’t argue with that.

[Grievous was nothing short of eccentric even if he is intelligent.]

Nothing that is certain I’m afraid. The Force is ingrained in us and a part of us naturally. Only if there was some way to cut off that connection, of which I have no knowledge of. I’ve only known two people to best Dooku, and only one of them is here. Grievous on the other hand has no connection to the Force. His weakness lies in the few remaining organic parts he has left. But getting past his armor is difficult.

[ He perks up and leans in attentively, eyes bright and curious. ]

Who's the one that beat Dooku? One of your friends?

[It was then that the blade of Obi-Wan’s lightsaber vanished with a whoosh. Seeing as Yuri appeared to be more interested in asking questions at the moment.]

[ It's interesting information! He's definitely making a note of that name to pass along to Yusuke. ]

Okay... So, what about limits to this force stuff? Can you pick up anything with it, or does the size of something make a difference?

It's said that the limits of one's power with the Force is limited only by one's mind. That being said, each individual and their level of skill and ability is different.

Master Yoda always said that 'size matters not', but there certainly are limits to what a person can achieve. If one is particularly focused, they may be able to do more than they normally could. Likewise, if they are distracted or mentally impaired, they could be weaker than normal.

Does that make any sense?

Enhanced powers won't do much if they can't focus enough to do anything about it. ...But don't worry, I'm not really interested in actually confronting anyone.

But you must understand that Dooku and Grievous are dangerous even in our world. They have both killed many Jedi, and should not be underestimated.

Trust me, I know. That bug-bot looking asshole threatened to murder me just for not showing him my powers once.

Well then, while I don't doubt you can handle yourself, in exchange for the information I gave all I ask if that you and your comrades do be careful. I don't really care to hear about any murders in the near future.
