[EARLIER]
So a very mortal (if thoroughly dolled up) Laura Wilson made her way past the throng of bodies on the dance floor. She flirted and lied and only very briefly snuck into the VIP room to stop in front of one particular table. ]
We need to talk.

[ Woden stopped. No. That wasn't right. Woden looked at her, arms spread out on the couch, flanked by women. ] If you don't mind, ladies...
[ He waved a hand, before he focused his attention back on Laura fucking Wilson. At least she'd lost her powers, right? That was...encouraging. At least for Woden, who was definitely in the business of doling out powers when he felt like it. ]
Huh. You don't look very happy.
no subject
[ She corrects him. Hate this as she might, it doesn't make it less true. She crosses her arms and leans on an adjacent wall. ]
And no shit. Wonder why that could be.
no subject
[ He asked, and the vocoder left his tone even, even if Woden spat it with the kind of derisiveness that came from mocking someone for something they couldn't control. After all, he had almost always functioned without the same kinds of powers that the rest of the Pantheon had.
Funny, that she wouldn't use her name now that she wasn't godlike. ]
That's sad. Clearly, I'm not feeling the same effects.
no subject
[ Another "no shit." but she's not gonna repeat herself just yet. Without asking, she pulls up a chair and sits down.
She may not have her divinity or even her name, but at least she still had moxy, right? ]
Clearly.

[ He looked away from the table, and back down at the party drugs on the table. He was sure she wouldn't want some, but Woden wasn't a bad host. Not normally, anyway. ]
Coke? LSD? Something to drink? Or do you want to get to why you're actually spending more than a few moments in my presence. I'm pretty sure losing your godhood didn't change the fact that you can't stand me.
no subject
[ Woden was an awful host, always. But he liked the trappings of manners. Fake enough magnanimity to give himself the benefit of the doubt. Laura wasn't stupid. That much was easy to make out. ]
Uh huh, still hate you.
no subject
[ Well, that solved that. He looked at the spread in front of him, trying to decide if it was a good idea to dive down again, but... Maybe he should wait. Laura hadn't exactly said much about what she wanted. ]
So... you going to get to the point, then? I'm sure you're not here for pleasure, so it must be business.

I came to ask you to stop.

FOR BATMAN AND PERSEPHONE (eventually)
He felt like a real supervillain, and it was far more fun and exciting than anything he'd done back home. No wonder Ananke had done this every hundred years or so. ]
Is everyone ready to party? [ He wasn't exactly holding a microphone, but the supposed godling stood in the middle of the dance floor, his digitized voice echoed over the speakers like he held a microphone. ]
no subject
Don't say I didn't warn you, Woden.
no subject
[ The voice is over the loudspeakers, even without the music. Woden spread his arms, almost like a showman, showing off for the crowd, which parted into a wide circle around the caped crusader and... Woden. ]
I was wondering if you'd join in the festivities. -- Or how long it was going to take you. You're slipping.
[ He didn't move, even so. As if he were waiting. ]
no subject
[His scowl is deeply set, portraying anger and disappointment, mostly in himself. He decides not to waste any more time, and stomps towards Woden.]
no subject
I thought it would be to avoid inserting yourself into pantheon business in the future. No non-gods allowed.
[ With that, he vanished. Not the same arc of rainbows and psychadelic color as before, but in a burst of pixels and light. He reappeared in the VIP box, much further away. ]
no subject
[Rather than continue their melodramatic speech, Batman points his arm at the VIP box, the nanomachines of his suit forming the glowing repulsor on the inside of his palm.]
no subject
The caped crusader is wolfslammed. ]
no subject
[He only catches a glimpse of it coming, fast for as big as it is, before he's thrown across the room and clean through the drywall into the next room over. Groggily, he grabs at a fistful of rubble as he clamors to his feet.]

starts a new thread cause thats how i roll
but she does have alerts on her phone for keywords in certain social media, and uh. one of them was triggered tonight.
.. which is why she's showing up at this busted up club looking for her oldest brother. she pauses with her hands on her hips when she spots him, frowning at the weird pixelized look. ]
.. Yep. [ that's.. that's definitely a shitty loading screen version of fenris. ]
no subject
Who are you.

Alex, [ she answers after a moment, distracted, starting forward toward them both fearlessly. the fenris of her world is-- bitter, broken, furious, ready for ragnarok. he'd be dangerous if he was loosed in this world. and it's not to say that this one can't be, but ultimately, this is just a recreation of her brother.
she glances up when she's nearly within biting distance. ] The Fenris Wolf is my brother. If anyone that isn't that fucking douchebag Woden is capable of keeping him out of trouble, it's probably me. [ a beat, frowning faintly. ] --You know who it is inside him yet?
no subject
Laura Wilson. Persephone. You can fix this?
no subject
The wolf twitches and growls, as if to indicate that even in its sleep, it is still super extremely furious and batman should shut up. ]
no subject
I don't know. I've never changed another person before, just myself. I think he'll--she'll--recognize me, at least. Maybe she'll come home with me until I can figure something out. [ and hopefully the wolf won't be too far gone in animal rage that she'll want to kill her.
she unhooks her garotte from her waist, the wire lengthening itself obediently as she stretches it between her hands. .. just in case. ]
You might want to step back. Fenris is not going to be thrilled with you when she wakes up. [ she gives him a moment, then reaches out with her seidr, nudging it against the wolf's consciousness. ] Brother, it's time to wake up.
