I fear the fall and where we'll land (OTA)
WHO: Daisy Johnson and YOU
WHERE: Heropa and De Chima. Possibly other places
WHEN: December 1st-15th
WHAT: Daisy is struggling with the side effects of the porter no longer working.
WARNINGS: Blood mention. Will update if anything else arises.
[OTA]
[Daisy had felt off ever since she woke up, her body just didn’t feel the same. Used to the constant vibration as a side effect of her power, it was hard not to notice that it seemed to be a lot weaker than usual. It made her feel hollow in a way she couldn’t quite describe.
The weakening of the vibrations only grew worse as she went to her shift at Merlotte’s Bar and Grill in De Chima. By the end of her shift, her arms were aching and she noticed bruises starting to pop up. It was something she had gotten back home from overuse of her powers, but here, they never really showed up because of the nanites. Daisy noticed others seemed off, some complained about feeling ill. Others mentioned that their powers weren’t working right. This wasn’t just affecting her, and it filled her a sense of dread.
As the next few days go on, the pain only gets worse in her arms, and now the back of her thigh, where months ago, she had been stabbed was bleeding little by little. Some people seemed worse off than her. With others unable to so much as walk, Daisy helped get them to safety. Whether that be a clinic or their home. She used the car Jesse had gotten her last year for all of that, as it was much faster than using the porter and walking was becoming difficult for her.
She’s been hearing more frequently that others powers have been acting up, and Daisy couldn’t put off finding out if hers was okay or not any longer, she tested it. Normally, she would be able to vibrate something until it shatters. This time, however, when she raises her hand and aims it at a potted plant nothing happens. She went to move her hand back down to her side but it won’t move. It doesn’t take her long to realize that she is actually frozen in place. Help? ]

But she's out now, on her way to get more medicine that might make her feel better (no luck so far) when she sees a frozen looking Daisy. She doesn't know Daisy that well, but she does know they're from the same world.]
Um, Daisy? You okay? ["you okay?" should be more like 'what's wrong?']
no subject
Unaware that Wanda could hear her thoughts, she'd probably hear her, you know, freaking the hell out.]
no subject
Try to calm down -- which, easier said than done, but if you remember to breathe, you might be able to get out of this -- what happened? Did someone do this to you?
no subject
My power isn't working right. I tried to use it and I froze up. Not sure how.

[Daisy didn't know that much about her power, just what she skimmed over in the index.]
I make things quake.
no subject
Quake like telekinesis?
no subject
It has its downsides, but I would take broken bones over this.
no subject
Are you alright.

Judging by her complete and utter lack of movement, or speaking? Yeah, she's not okay. She tries to just move her fingers. Nothing.]

[Long shot, but he pulls a small pill out of his belt pocket-- Diazepam-- and moves to put it in her mouth. But first he holds it up between his fingers so she can see what he's doing.]
Muscle relaxant. Give it a few minutes. Don't bite. [He slips it into her mouth and helps her tilt her head back so it'll pass.]
no subject
Not that she could actually complain to him, but, it did hurt a little when he moved her head back because her entire body was unsurprisingly stiff.
It felt like she was waiting an eternity to so much as have her fingers twitch, but when that finally happened she instantly felt relived. It took a few more minutes before she could fully move.]
Thank you.
[Moving her arm back down with a wince, Daisy looked over at the potted plant again. What the hell was that anyway?]
I was trying to break that pot and I froze instead.
[Since he probably was wondering what happened.]

This sort of thing has been happening all week. It'll probably be best if you try not to use your abilities until we figure out how to fix all of this.

[Considering how terrified she had been in the beginning of having her powers, this was even more terrifying. If he hadn't, you know, given her drugs there's no telling how long she would've stayed like that.
It's definitely relaxed her though, which is something she hasn't felt since last week.]
So, what? Do you just go around carrying Valium?
[She is thankful.]
no subject
For long nights. Don't complain, maybe you should consider it.
no subject
[Raking her hand through her hair, Daisy lets out a sigh of frustration.]
How are you doing?
[He seemed okay.]
no subject
[Another pause before answering.]
Anyway, I'm fine. I'm not a metahuman.
[Little hungry, if he had to complain, I guess...]
no subject
[It is mostly genuine curiosity.]
Not sure I know what a metahuman is.
no subject
And I know a lot of things. [Although, to be a little bit more forthcoming.] It helps to compensate when you can do the things they can.
no subject
[Daisy doesn't see the point of getting into what she actually is, especially right now.]
So what? You're a pharmacists by day, vigilante by night?
no subject
no subject
I never said I was complaining. Just trying to figure you out.
no subject
[Speaking of tight lipped. Sure likes to help out a lot despite being kind of a dick.]
no subject
[Sorry, Batman. As much as she appreciates the help he's given her, Daisy is still pretty suspicious of him. People that wear masks usually have something to hide.]
no subject
[Yeah, like his identity. Anyway, they're both about as talkative as two wet towels, so he'll start to take off unless she has anything else she wants to judge him for.]
no subject
no subject
[Bat-sass. He smirks a little bit, unseen with his back turned, and raises a hand in the air and gives her a casual wave without looking back, whisked away into the air moments later by his jet passing by overhead.]
no subject
[Daisy just stood there for a moment before giving a slight shake of her head as she walked away. Probably a good idea to just go back home for now.]
