WHO: The Phantom Thieves + Adachi
WHERE: Heropa, Abandoned Train tunnel
WHEN: Friday, November 10th
WHAT: Secret Team Meeting!!!!
WARNINGS: None, I will update if something comes up.
Goro had decided to go early, taking advantage of the quiet before the others arrived. Maybe he should have told the rest of the team that Adachi was coming but he would cross that bridge later. In the mean time, he taps his chin as he looks over the cork-board, wondering if he had anything to add to it. If anyone were to find it now -- someone would know how to read it. Written language was now dangerous, so they had to come up with a better system than relying on Japanese. He should have realised it sooner but it wasn't until Kaneki had posted his F.A.Q. that it really dawned on him.
They needed a new plan.
He shoves his mask up his face, starting to pace. Hopefully the others had good news.

He makes a point to scuff his feet when he makes his way into the tunnel, alerting anyone inside to his arrival. Better than sneaking up on them by mistake. He tugs his mask off to stuff into the pocket of his hoodie and picks out a spot on the wall to slouch against.]
Hey. So what kind of stuff do we have to talk about?
no subject
There's something important that Goro wanted to share, and I think we're going to discuss a few points once everyone is here.
[Akira certainly wasn't going to lead with his stuff, as it wasn't as relevant, he thought.
Not that most people could tell what he was thinking now, hiding behind his mask. That was deliberate.]
no subject
I think we all have some minor updates. Coming together to ensure we are all on the same page is a smart idea.
no subject
Man, we really need to put in a better way to get down here.
[ He paused a moment, glancing at Yuri in mild surprise, but not commenting on his presence. Instead he shifted his focus over to Yusuke and the board he had been working on the last time. ]
Got anything new?
no subject
Nothing new here, outside of what I asked you to do when you did that info drop, Adachi...at that's all a different kind of trouble.
But it sounds like everyone else has something at least. Status reports?
no subject
I do not have anything helpful, not since the last time I spoke with Akechi. Iwai is no longer here, which is one less thing to worry about.
[ Yusuke got paid for his work on his designs for the shop first, at least, and now he can't be fooled by Dooku into exposing them. It's for the best. ]
There is a potential problem, with Aragaki-san, that I told you about.
no subject
[ Well that's one less thing they need to worry about at least. He pulls his beak back over his face, turning to face the group. ]
Why would Aragaki-san be a problem?
[ Not that he really knows who Aragaki is. He was at Yusuke's house, if he recalled correctly but he hadn't quite branched out. He'll bring up his own information later. One step at a time, he supposed. ]
no subject
He and I were trapped in that house together, for a while, and took an enlightening tour of each others' regrets. He saw what I did to him. [ Nodding towards Adachi. ] From start to finish, including Dooku's appearance. Our voices were muffled, without context, but he isn't stupid. If he tried, he could put together.
[ And in return, Yusuke saw Shinjiro lose control of his Persona and kill someone. It was a fun time. ]
no subject
So? It can't be that hard to explain why.
no subject
[ At the time, Yusuke had been pretty distracted by reliving the terror and trauma that has been following him since that scene, so yes, it can be that hard. But here he is, making a deliberate choice not to argue. ]
no subject
[ Truth be told, he had nothing on him, which bothered him significantly. Clearly he really did need to branch out more among their circle of friends. He shifts a bit, tapping his chin in thought. ]
Never-the-less we should keep an eye on him. He would be a better ally than enemy.
[ That went without stating. Goro felt anxious about taking control of this meeting in such a way. He wasn't Akira. He shifted on the balls of his feet, trying not to let his nervousness show too much.
Maybe that's why he wanted the mask. ]
no subject
[ And that's getting pretty close to revealing personal things that have no bearing on this discussion, so he stops himself there. ]
Aragaki is agreeable, when approached, but tends to keep to himself. He has been here before, and was close with Jaime then, but he does not remember. He hates himself and loves cooking. He was understandably disturbed by what he saw, but I do not believe he is a threat, although definitely someone to keep in mind.
no subject
[Yeah he remembers him. Akira didn't learn a lot about him, only that he was shy. A few things he kind of guessed at and thought he read, but he wasn't sure about his ability to read people anymore.]
He seemed like an ok guy. I'd like to know more about him, though. I don't think that's something we need to be terribly careful with, just be genuine without letting on too much.
no subject
[Yuri's been unusually quiet since Adachi walked in, pointedly avoiding so much as looking at the man. There doesn't seem to be any malice behind the behavior at least. It's more of a deeply entrenched discomfort; the kind that generally comes with watching someone die.
This topic, thankfully, is enough of a distraction for him. Something he can comment on instead of just listening.]
He didn't seem too bad when I talked to him either, but it's hard to get a good read on anyone you're meeting at a party for the first time. [Especially when everyone had been drinking.]

If he's a Persona user from Iwatodai, he could have been involved in whatever was going on with the rampant Apathy Syndrome back in... two thousand nine? Ten? Something like that; it was before I was transferred to Inaba. He could even be part of Kirijo-san's Shadow Ops depending on what point in time he's from.
[ He waved a hand absently. ]
It'd be worth having him on our side.
no subject
[ The idea of a corporation playing Metaverse police is distressing, especially since, according to Shinji, the entire mess that happened in Iwatodai was their fault to begin with. ]
He did not say anything about Shadow Ops, but I saw Mitsuru Kirijo in the flashback. He referred to their organization as 'SEES'.
[ Yusuke looks, a little less anxiously, over at Adachi. ]
I agree. I consider him a friend, and he could be a strong ally, if willing. He is aware that I am a Persona user already, in any case.
no subject
[And she might already be pulling up databases to see if there's any more info she can get on him.]
We'll have to be careful about our approach...We could scare him off if we aren't careful.
no subject
[ He supposes that settles things on Aragaki-san. ]
I suppose that brings us to Constellation as a whole. Do we have any new information?
no subject
[Though he had to admit that the guy would make a good thief. It just wasn't good to bring in more people while the group was already relatively scattered. They should focus on making the group tight-knit and only bring someone in if they are already plainly a part of the cause, as far as Akira saw it.]
I don't have anything on Constellation, really, but... I should let you all know that Kaneki is aware of what we do. Though I avoided implying that I do it with anyone else, so I'm the only one he will know for sure.
no subject
I know the basics from a guy named Junpei that was here before, and my own experience with their group when Kagutsuchi attacked Inaba. SEES was started by Kirijio-san to fight the Shadows that were apparently responsible for Apathy Syndrome. Since she graduated high school, she turned the group into the Shadow Ops, a secret sub-division of the Kirijio Corporation that monitored and responded to Shadow activity.
[ Which apparently was only really effective if it happened in their reality, which was probably why they weren't breathing down people's necks in Inaba until Sho started his shit. ]
As for Constellation. [ He waved toward the board. ] Other than recent updates, I don't have anything new as far as new members. Threats and possible allies... well, I know Mr. Jupiter doesn't really have much love for Dooku, and probably wouldn't give a shit if things went down unless it was in his best interest to. I might be able to convince him it's not.
As far as Kaneki...
[ Oh boy; this was going to be a fun addition. ]
Dooku's apparently been trying to get him in on his cause for years. I think the recent investigation into the OTO was meant to do that, and I ended up laying everything out on what Dooku was like for him. Dunno if I convinced him not to join or not, but hopefully if he does, it's to keep an eye on Dooku.

[Akira spoke up rather quickly. The fact that he was Constellation-adjacent was... another thing he didn't care for.]
We shouldn't bank on him. While he is not a direct danger to us, he has some very easily exploitable flaws, the most notable of which being that he doesn't consider himself a 'person'. Nor does he consider others 'people' when they oppose him, granted that they are not human, and he uses this excuse to justify slaughtering others of his own race, without a hint of remorse.
[Whether or not they were good was not the problem. It was the point that Kaneki thought of them as nothing more than pests that sat poorly with Akira.]
It stands to reason that he could be convinced to kill other non-human people with similar faulty arguments.
no subject
Please tell us you aren't still working for him...
no subject
[Akira winced a little, not really wanting to go into detail about it.]
... Well, since I found out, I guess. But that does leave me without a job. And I'm not... really sure I'm ready to look for one yet.
no subject
Let me know if you're hard up for money before you find another job. I can put you to work.
[ It would probably be boring shit, but at least it would be money. ]
no subject
[Yuri may have been quiet up until now, but he was still listening attentively. No way could they let Akira go back to working for a guy like Kaneki, but if he wasn't ready to work yet either.... He didn't see any reason to push him to it. Especially in light of all the trauma they'd all been through.]
Viktor and me always have extra food laying around, and I don't think anyone else here is going to mind helping out if you need it.
