WHAT: Trish is tired of doing puff pieces on her show. And Bruce is going to be her key in changing that.
WARNINGS: None. This is very very safe.

[ Trish can play nice with authority. She can. But when she's been asking her show's producers for harder hitting topics, something with a little more teeth and bite, and getting only pushback, she has to jump the chain of command.

It isn't hard to find out who owns the station she works for. It's a matter of public record after all; she could just search on the internet if it wasn't just a matter of asking someone there. And it's practically a sign that she's on the right track when she finds out it's Bruce Wayne.

She doesn't make an appointment. She just waits until she's sure no one is going to stop her as she steps up to his office door and knocks. Knocking is merely a formality, though; she opens said door and lets herself in. ]

Mr. Wayne? Trish Walker. I was hoping we could talk.

[Bruce is at his desk when she enters, eyes planted on his desk, scribbling away at some irrelevant paperwork. He doesn't bother looking up when she enters, and greets her with the flat, indifferent tone of someone busy with something else.]

You say that like I'm supposed to know who you are, Ms. Walker. What can I do for you.

Trish Walker, the host of [ she is cringing so hard as she says this ] Patty's Chatty Hour. The show is broadcast from your station here in De Chima.

[ She approaches his desk, undeterred by his indifference. ]

I need to discuss the show with you.

[He abruptly stops his writing, as though something-- whatever it could possibly be, I wonder-- caught his attention suddenly. Bruce stares at her incredulously.]

You need to talk to me... [A pause] ...about Patty's Chatty Hour?

The name wasn't my choice.

[ She holds up her hands, an unspoken gesture to keep the blame away. ]

It's a terrible name, and I've been saying that since I got here. The name alone could be costing us potential listeners.

I don't want to be rude, Ms. Walker, considering I don't know what decade you come from... [Literally. She could be from like the 20s or something for all he knows.] ...but television generally makes money off of subscription viewership these days, and not viewer revenue. Not that I'm the person to talk to about that anyway-- I just write the checks.

[A pause.]

Did you really come all the way here to tell me you wanted to change the name of your show...?

It's a radio show. And no, I didn't.

[ She takes a seat, perhaps to indicate that she doesn't intend to leave anytime soon. Not until she's heard. ]

You may only be the man who writes the checks, but if there's one thing I know in my experience: money talks. And the people who control the money set the rules.
