[CLOSED] Throw it away and make a new beginning

WHO: Duo Maxwell (the first), Duo Maxwell Jr. (the second), D33 (the ...third??)
WHERE: Hooray sketchy abandoned warehouses (in Heropa outskirts)
WHEN: October 3rd or 4thish, middle of the night (backdated)
WHAT: Training, part deux (ayy)
WARNINGS: idiots

[The most important thing was that Jr. was well-informed, and well-trained. Duo had made sure of that when he first picked his kid up from the wreckage of the orphanage, and things would be no different here. His powers had similar enough methods of usage to Duo's that he figured it wouldn't be too difficult to train him how to control and manipulate them, even though there was an apprehensive part of him that recognized the inherent danger possible to them. Illusions. Things that messed with your mind.]

[Well, hopefully, he wouldn't have to learn a bad lesson.]

[He'd already been training, luckily- his first trainee in this world. Well, Duo smirks to himself, clearly they'd already met. Now he'd just get to see the sparks fly in real life. But the both of them, stubborn idiots as they may be, knew how to get down to the seriousness that training required.]

[Hopefully.]

Yo. Come outta hiding, I'm here. [Duo calls when he leads Jr. into the dark warehouse where he and D33'd been meeting several nights a week to work on power manipulation.] I brought someone, though- don't worry, he's vetted by me.

Why do I get the boring shit, yo?

[ But, Jr's off right before the countdown begins and while D33 here has his eyes closed. That fucker better not peek.

It's only when his old man goes about doing his own handiwork with the muting of footsteps that, suddenly, the inside of the warehouse seems to flicker and sway, as if suddenly becoming distorted. It doesn't take long, about three seconds in fact and once that third second ticks on the invisible clock, everything goes dark and the sound a wolf howling in the distance can be heard.

Since D33 has his eyes closed (RIGHT??), it'll only take Duo blinking once to suddenly see the darkness gone and to be sitting in the middle of a graveyard. Fog rolls in along the grass that gently sways in the breeze, tombstones lined throughout the cemetery, some crumbling with an old church off in the distance that also looks as though it's seen better days. The air feels damp, chilly, the sky overcast and the sound of dying leaves rustling in the wind on the trees and rolling across the damp earth beneath them. There's fresh graves that look to have been dug a couple hours prior, coffins dropped in some while others remain... free, at least for now.

If you listen carefully enough, you just might heard the word Shinigami floating by on the breeze whenever it whisks by. Or, since it's just no fun to leave his old man out of things, words that sound like why did you leave? or you're coming back, right? coming in on the tail end of that breeze that floats by.

Could just be your imagination. It's the month of Halloween after all, right? ]

[Naturally, the change in scenery is a bit jarring once D33 opens his eyes, but it doesn't take him long to come to the conclusion that this has something to do with Jr.'s powers. One more reminder of the world they're living in, D33 feels a small pang of irritation at having to deal with this particular type of challenge, supernatural as it is. But, that's why he's hear, and it doesn't take him long to get his bearings.

[The howling wind is distracting (sounds an awful lot like whining, somehow), but D33 stands a moment and tries to hone in on any sound that might point him in Jr.'s direction. There isn't much to go off of, of course, but he'll check about the obvious spots first anyway - why overlook an easy answer while in search of a more difficult one. This kid could be stupid enough to just duck behind a gravestone or something.]
