WHAT: Giant ass Halloween party. On Friday the 13th. YOU ARE ALL INVITED.
WARNINGS: tbd, probably some disaster.
NOTES: So this party's invites are pretty scattered so if you have CR with Peter, you can feel free to assume you've been invited (if he hasn't literally ic inboxed you) or found an invite/ heard about the party from anyone else and are still welcome to have fun! Feel free to plurk me (valleyheart) if you have questions but aside from Peter's top level, it's free game to do what you want!



The Invitations

[If you're a friend of Peter you might've been invited personally, but even so you might find one of these bad boys slipped your way, in your mail or taped to the inside of your next pizza order leading up to the 13th. On the back of the invitation is a hand scrawled address in Nonah, the home of Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr - if you're familiar, you're familiar. If not, doesn't matter, 'cause it's Peter's disastrous party about to go down and you're still welcome.]

The House

[The party takes place at the "X-Fam" house in Nonah, which some of you may remember hosted a bbq not too long ago. Yeah, the place where Erik and Charles live - not that this party's sponsored by them in any shape, way or form. In fact it's more of a "while the cat's away, the mice will play" type scenario because asking permission to hold a killer party is not something Peter did.

He was responsible enough however to use caution tape to cross off the doors of the bedrooms in the house, preserving the privacy of his housemates to a degree. The other rooms aren't off limits and neither is the backyard, all of which are decorated festively for the occasion. Cobwebs litter corners and hallways, weaving through the banister rails complete with fake spiders nestled in them. The curtains are somber, as a variety of stick on decals are covering windows and mirrors alike. Decorations sit on mantles and door frames, with each window sill featuring a lit candle or something equally spooky.

The backyard is lit by dim orange lights, featuring seating and open night air for those who wish to get out of a hot, loud house and admire the stars. Just mind the witch legs and don't litter cigarette butts everywhere, alright?

The door's open and a variety of tunes are playing, audible from the street.]

The Party

[So you were invited (or not,) and you found your way to the right house. The lights are dimmed and the music's loud, so come in and get a drink from the fridge or the creative yet nerdy 'keg'. Peter's no Martha Stewart nor is Wanda really in a mood to make a lot of cute treats so you'll have to put up with standard party fair: potato chips, pretzels, a huge stack of pizzas and a few large bowls of candy corn. That shit is everywhere, there's no escaping it. You need ice? Just don't choke on the critters.

Rooms not cordoned off are yours to wander and get wasted in, same with the stretch of grass in the back yard. Wander with your goblets of definitely spiked punch and a handful of candy corn. Because if you're not eating it then you suck.

At some point there will be a cake pulled out because Peter's drowning in sisters and Lorna's birthday is this month. Clearly the thing to do is to (monster) mash it in to the Halloween celebrations with a creepy cake. Say a spooky happy birthday to the girl with green hair when you get the chance.]

I'm wearing black. [He says this stubbornly - Peter had asked him to and he's here! Wearing it! What more could you possibly ask from him?

[He feels Kaneki leaving his arm, turns to him with a wrinkled brow.]

Where are you going?

kaneki looks back at D33 and Archie ] Er- you two seem to be having fun, so. [ """""""""fun""""""""" ]

[archie winces slightly, having been perfectly happy to let kaneki escape.]

Yeah, don't worry about it. I was just gonna... go.

[he's not salty enough to put kaneki through this when he knows he's fresh from kanaya being ported out.]

That's all I can ask for. [The fun having.]

Go forth, drink and be merry. I'll seriously go look and see if we have any coffee, and if I find any I'll send it your way? People'll leave the kitchen eventually, once they've devoured the cake.

[magneticxman]

[Oh, he's just too fun. Lorna moves a little closer, grabbing a handful of his lapel.]

Better teach me to be more careful. But I'm a slow learner, so you might have to repeat the lesson.

[magneticxman]

Lorna isn't the world's greatest dancer, but it's fun and she moves as gracefully as she can. Good thing Bruce is leading.

"It's a marvel either of us gets any work done at the office, considering how we are out of it. Good thing we're nerds who care about our work."

[magneticxman]

Aww, that's sweet.

[Lorna gives Jean a smile.]

Hey, no sweat. To be honest I've kind of been avoiding you. Back home I was the second girl to become an X-man and you were the first. We were close, and since then your- er, her life has been strange and not terribly good. I didn't want you to see what she went through, because it's not fair to have that hanging over your head.

Bruce laughs and moves with her, smiling softly. "We're good at being good at our jobs and good at being bad when we're not there."

He nodded, feeling good.

"Enjoying yourself?"

[magneticxman]

It isn't. Who did you con into spending undead eternity with you?

[Lorna looks around for a zombie bride, very curious about this. Was Peter dating and she didn't know it? She didn't know whether to hope he was or wasn't. It struck her how little they knew about each other. She ought to correct that.]

[magneticxman]

I mean, not exactly? But I've seen vampires and god knows what else. Usually when people come back from the dead back home they're alive and only a little scarred for life.

[She wishes she was joking, to be honest.]

[magneticxman]

[Lorna pours two cups and hands one to Wanda. The last time they talked was awkward, she wonders if it's going to go better this time.

Probably not. Family things are always weird and strained for her.]

How've you been?

[quickfingers]

I bribed Jean into it. She gets to play Lauper, I get the hopefully beat Magnus out of a couples costume prize.

[He shrugs.] It honestly looks better when we're standing next to each other but holds up decently apart.

[magneticxman]

It does. You did a good job with the fake blood. Are you and Jean from the same universe?

[quickfingers]

[He gives a nod.] Yeah, good ol' 1983.

So's dad and Charles. It's weird, clumps of people from the same time and then others who are here on their own.

[magneticxman]

[Now things make a little more sense. Lorna nods and chuckles a little.]

Is it nice having people from back home? There's one guy here from my world, but we weren't close before here.

[magneticxman]

Lorna reached down his back and groped his butt, because it was fun and she could. "I am. If you don't wind up sweeping some other person off their feet let me know and I'll take you home."

[quickfingers]

It's nice? It's hard to say whether you'd rather them be here or back home - the company's nice but this place can be rough.

Who's the guy?

[magneticxman]

Yeah, I get that.

Bruce Banner. He used to sometimes be the Hulk.

[heisenbitch]

[ Jesse would slap D33 on the back, help him cough it up, if he was certain it probably wouldn't result in D33 punching him in the face. ]

Yeah, it's a filthy habit.

[ Jesse holds his hand out in offer to take the cigarette back. ]

[quickfingers]

[Peter's brows raise skeptically. The Hulk?] Haven't heard of him.

Is he, as they say, swoll? [He snorts.]

[magneticxman]

[Lorna laughs loudly and shakes her head.]

I don't really know what that means, but it sounds like a question you don't want the answer to. He's right over there, [She motions toward Bruce. Who is making out with Wanda. Oh. Awkward.]

Heh, he's an okay guy. Wanda could do worse.

[quickfingers]

People can actually come back where you're from?

[quickfingers]

[Peter threatens himself with whiplash after the double take he gives Wanda and Bruce after they're pointed to by Lorna.

His brows knit and guess Wanda achieved her goal.] Just okay? Hm.

Not that I think she cares much right now who he is or what he's like. She should've come as an octopus, sucking face could've been part of her costume.

[magneticxman]

[Lorna snorts, then shakes her head.]

She still. . . under her own spell or whatever? I guess making out is better than nothing?

[magneticxman]

It's, I mean yeah? It's not always great, to be honest. Jean's done it the most, but usually the person in question wasn't actually dead, or they were in another universe, or-

[Ha ha, don't try to understand, Peter. It's not worth it.]
