WHO: EVERYONE? Anyone. (And Peter.)
WHERE: X-Fam House, Nonah.
WHEN: Friday the 13th!
WHAT: Giant ass Halloween party. On Friday the 13th. YOU ARE ALL INVITED.
WARNINGS: tbd, probably some disaster.
NOTES: So this party's invites are pretty scattered so if you have CR with Peter, you can feel free to assume you've been invited (if he hasn't literally ic inboxed you) or found an invite/ heard about the party from anyone else and are still welcome to have fun! Feel free to plurk me (

valleyheart) if you have questions but aside from Peter's top level, it's free game to do what you want!

The Invitations

[If you're a friend of Peter you might've been invited personally, but even so you might find one of these bad boys slipped your way, in your mail or taped to the inside of your next pizza order leading up to the 13th. On the back of the invitation is a hand scrawled address in Nonah, the home of Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr - if you're familiar, you're familiar. If not, doesn't matter, 'cause it's Peter's disastrous party about to go down and you're still welcome.]

The House

[The party takes place at the "X-Fam" house in Nonah, which some of you may remember hosted a bbq not too long ago. Yeah, the place where Erik and Charles live - not that this party's sponsored by them in any shape, way or form. In fact it's more of a "while the cat's away, the mice will play" type scenario because asking permission to hold a killer party is not something Peter did.

He was responsible enough however to use caution tape to cross off the doors of the bedrooms in the house, preserving the privacy of his housemates to a degree. The other rooms aren't off limits and neither is the backyard, all of which are decorated festively for the occasion. Cobwebs litter corners and hallways, weaving through the banister rails complete with fake spiders nestled in them. The curtains are somber, as a variety of stick on decals are covering windows and mirrors alike. Decorations sit on mantles and door frames, with each window sill featuring a lit candle or something equally spooky.

The backyard is lit by dim orange lights, featuring seating and open night air for those who wish to get out of a hot, loud house and admire the stars. Just mind the witch legs and don't litter cigarette butts everywhere, alright?

The door's open and a variety of tunes are playing, audible from the street.]

The Party

[So you were invited (or not,) and you found your way to the right house. The lights are dimmed and the music's loud, so come in and get a drink from the fridge or the creative yet nerdy 'keg'. Peter's no Martha Stewart nor is Wanda really in a mood to make a lot of cute treats so you'll have to put up with standard party fair: potato chips, pretzels, a huge stack of pizzas and a few large bowls of candy corn. That shit is everywhere, there's no escaping it. You need ice? Just don't choke on the critters.

Rooms not cordoned off are yours to wander and get wasted in, same with the stretch of grass in the back yard. Wander with your goblets of definitely spiked punch and a handful of candy corn. Because if you're not eating it then you suck.

At some point there will be a cake pulled out because Peter's drowning in sisters and Lorna's birthday is this month. Clearly the thing to do is to (monster) mash it in to the Halloween celebrations with a creepy cake. Say a spooky happy birthday to the girl with green hair when you get the chance.]

[ This guy is not in costume, however there is fake blood smeared down the sides of his face, thick smudged guyliner around his eyes, he's draped in strings of fake cobwebs, and there is a novelty meat cleaver wonkily affixed to his shaved head. He's leaning back against the wall out of everyone's way and drawing something on the back of a party invitation he'd found lying haphazard on one of the snacks tables.

Suddenly, a few cartoon ghosts and skeletons emerge from within the paper, as if it's a window they've all squeezed through, and Jesse follows them with his eyes as they fly up into the air and begin zooming off in various directions through the room.

Bruce grinned and poked her lightly. "You look good. And no, not yet."

He glanced over, then shook his head. "No, it does not. Yours is cool."

"Thanks, yours is pretty good too." he grins and like he had before, he lets a gentle touch of warmth stroke over her cheek.

"Enjoying yourself, Wanda?" His eyes slide over her appreciatively.

Oh, thank y- [ OH MY GOD D33 don't be rude.

kaneki gently presses his elbow against D33's waist, a silent "don't be rude" and Kaneki decides to intervene right away ]

- You look great, really! [ at least one of them is nice ]

[ kaneki is properly dressed for this party, in a way that people can't even tell that is him. Which is nice because he can just pretend to be a woman and no one will question it. He came as D33's plus one, but eventually he parts from him to go thank Peter for throwing this party. It's only polite, right?

He eventually finds the man and approaches, but before kaneki can say anything, there is a question coming his way ] Oh - no, thank you. I don't drink. [ not this kind of alcohol ] If there any coffee around, though?

[ Kaneki is wallflowering at the backyard as well, a glass of water in hand, and resting his feet. He is wearing flats (he is not going to use high heels when cross dressing, that's too much) but women clothes and shoes are still tiring for someone who doesn't wear them.

as he spots Ronan, and after debating if he should approach or not, Kaneki overcomes his own awkwardness and offers Ronana a smile ] Nice costume. You look great.

[ kaneki came as D33's plus one, and when D33 goes off with his friend (he will argue that they aren't his friends, kaneki knows), Kaneki decides he will just wallflower for a bit in the backyard, with a glass of water in his hand. He spots a familiar face on the ground, and eventually approaches with a tiny smile, hoping he isn't disturbing magnus.

It doesn't sound like he is, but - ]

That was impressive. [ the burp ]

[ it looks like there was another wallflower around, when Jesse comes by the backyard. Kaneki is still on his dress (of course, it's not like he brought anything else), a glass of water in hand, and looking at others enjoying the party and passing by. He spots Jesse, a familiar face, and eventually approaches to greet the man. ]

Hello. Enjoying the part? [ he isn't going to ask jesse to dance. Maybe. He'll see how it goes ]

[ Jack is trashed and Kaneki is trying to avoid crowds (and failing at it). He clearly should be wallflowering somewhere quieter and possibly sober. He was passing by the singing drunks, trying to reach the backyard, when Jack suddenly steals the glass he has in his hand.

Jack- jack, that's water, that's not... alcohol...

Not that Kaneki has time to tell him, the man already took it ]

[ kaneki was separated from D33 far too soon into the night, but in the end Kaneki gave up on trying to actively find his date; he just hopes the other is having some fun. During kaneki's night he was hit on, danced a bit, met with familiar faces, and eventually ended up in the backyard for some time out, to wallflower.

And he finally finds D33 there.

Almost relieved (he really is relieved), Kaneki approaches only to realize the man is... probably drunk... He should know by now not to drink, but if he wants to, kaneki isn't going to say anything. ]

hey. Have you been having fun at the party? [ he has a feeling he knows what the answer to that is ]

[ Wow, cute, hot chick? He's noticed her floating around the party all night, actually. Seems this girl came with D33 as a date, if the way Jesse has spotted them hanging out together here and there is anything to go by, though god only knows why. There's something strangely familiar about this girl, though, so as much as Jesse is subtly checking her out with an up and down glance, there's an edge of questioning curiosity to the way he does it. He's grown so tiredly used to people he doesn't know who know him that Jesse doesn't question why she has approached him like he's familiar to her.

Still. Jesse switches on the Pinkman charm a little. Hard not to around cute, hot girls, even with how disconnected Jesse has mostly been to all the fun everyone has been having around him. ]

Well, if I wasn't before, I sure am now.

[ Hitting on Kaneki and doesn't yet realise it!!! ]

[ oh my god Jesse........... no.... that's.... a dude.

The point is for others not to realize it, but poor jesse has been going through a lot lately and kaneki has to wonder what is worse: break the fantasy and tell jesse he is a man, or allow some flirting to happen and let the other enjoy that for a moment.

yeah, he's totally going for that second option, sorry Jesse.

Mostly because this is actually sort of amusing for kaneki as well ~~SORRY JESSE~~ and he likes the idea to pretend to be someone else even for a bit, and not the mess that is Ken kaneki. it's a bit selfish, sure. But if jesse never finds out this is kaneki in a drag, then it's fine, right? RIGHT. ]

Now, it can't be so bad that I'm the only thing to make it good. [ kaneki tilts his head to the side ] Are you in an outfit, or do you just prefer not to be part of the masses?

[ kaneki blinks, watching Dazai reaching for his hand and---

are you trying to match your counter part after all, dazai?

The ghoul looks back at Dazai's hand and then veeeeeery slowly he pulls his own away, so slowly, so carefully. Because #yikes. ]

Ahh.... I'm not sure saying that I've big strong hands is a compliment...

Oh, uh. [ Glancing down at his skull t-shirt and jeans and jacket while taking a quick drag of his cigarette. As he exhales, he turns his attention back over to the girl. ] It was kind've a spur of the moment invite thing. Didn't have time to put a costume together. What about you? Cute the Halloween theme this year, is it?

[ Small boyishly charming little smile at her while raising his smoke back to his lips for another drag. ]

Well, costumes weren't a demand, so don't worry about it, yours looks "Halloween"-y enough. [ and kaneki smiles wider, as he decides to bow a little, to show off his dress a bit more ] I'll take "cute" though. [ better not to get any further into kaneki's costume, he doesn't to ruin the fantasy just yet.

But look, the slow music starts and Kaneki is going to take his chance. he hasn't danced in ages, and he actually quite likes slow dancing (Waltz, specifically) ] Why don't we dance for a bit? Unless you have a date, then I'll step back.

[ Jesse is about to make some outrageously flirtatious remark when the focus is shifted suddenly on the song. And the chick's offer to dance. Jesse's eyebrows shoot up in surprise and for a moment there, he's clueless as to how to respond. Usually, whenever he's been asked to dance, it's at a club, or a rave, or a house party, with thumping music and bodies grinding together. Not... slow dancing. The only kinds of slow dancing Jesse does at parties is when he's absolutely gunning for getting laid. You know, with hands groping everywhere and Jesse being a deliberately seductive flirt.

Maybe this chick isn't D33's date? Maybe she's just friends with him? Maybe this is his chance to pick up at the party, seeing there was a part of him that had that on his agenda when he'd decided to accept Magnus' invite to come tonight.

So, he smooths the surprised look back out into something a little more aloof, more charming, and after taking a final drag of his smoke, he drops it on the ground and crushes it under his shoe with an exhale, then reaches out to take her hand. ]

Why not, huh? So long as you don't mind that I'm pretty bad at that kinda thing.

[ Such a sweet, charming smile he's giving her now. Such a practiced, shameless flirt. ]

[ this poor man kaneki is sorry ~~maybe~~

Kaneki would refuse club dancing because he doesn't know how to do that and it's also really embarrassing and... sort of weird (kaneki might be a bit of a prude in the physical department). In fact, he is generally shy about most things, but today he is not Kaneki, right? So he can be a bit more outgoing, that will go well. ]

You are very lucky that I've had classes and know my stuff. [ Kaneki reaches for one of Jesse's hands to place it on his ribcage, slightly on his back. The Waltz is a bit different as the hand usually goes on lower shoulder blade, but it doesn't matter that much since they aren't going to do actual waltz.

Kaneki's other hand moves to Jesse's free one, to clasp it, and after the "not actually a woman sorry jesse" approaches, so the two are closer ] I can also lead, I'm versatile.

[ Wow, okay, so this is not... what Jesse is expecting. He's used to being the one leading this kind of thing. Gross flirting, standing way too intimately close, letting his hands wander and his words seduce - that kind of thing. That was exactly what he was potentially going to do. Finding his hand instead being directed to the girl's back like they're about to waltz is... Well. Jesse is still still smiling, though it's morphing into a bemused one. ]

I, um. [ His other hand now being clasped in the girl's hand in a formal dance pose. Jesse can't help letting out a short, surprised little laugh, deciding to go along with it despite how very Not Him this is. ] Not what I had in mind, but okay.

[ kaneki can't help but snort, clearly amused. For a lot of reasons, but - ] What did you expect? Loud club music with a lot of beat, people rubbing against each other?

Mister, I might be a nice christian girl. [ that amused smile clearly makes it obviously that no, he isn't, he is just teasing. But really - ] I only know how to dance like this, so sadly, you are now my victim and you have to suck it up. [ kaneki's other hand reaches to rest at Jesse's shoulder, slightly behind his neck ]

Oh, you might be a nice Christian girl. I see. [ Man, this is an unexpected turn of events. Everyone nearby is so drunk, though, that Jesse doesn't let it bother him or pay much attention to whether anyone else might be watching. Looking down at her with that same bemused smile, while weirdly sort of enjoying himself, odd though this is. Man, why does she look so familiar to him, though? ] So, this is like some weird evangelical come on, is it?

Probably it is - I might even start singing "Amazing Grace". [ he laughs lightly, mostly at himself while he shakes his head ]

But actually, I'm certain I'm about to break your heart - [ the tone is still light and playful, implying Kaneki is SURE Jesse's heart won't be broken] but I'm here with Dee-Thirty-Three, as his date and plus one. [ wherever he is, right now ] So dancing is all we can do. [ it's better to set limits on this before flirting gets off hand ]

Did I say big? No, of course not! [But Dazai withdraws his hand to press his own chest again, so it looks rather as if that was always his intention.] But you can't deny you have the strength to squeeze the life out of me, can you, Sasako-san?

[And he smiles, Too Brightly, and does not wait for her to answer that question.]

But! I understand, this a big commitment. If you need time to think it over, I suppose I understand.

[The childish antics continue as Sparrow narrowly avoids the incoming plastic cup. He continues sprinkling this fiend with not-so holy water before deciding to strike formerly. If Archie is the ticklish type, then he's utterly done for.

Jack closes in fast to end are his quarry in a devastating attack of icy fingered tickles. Jack's hands are cold, delightfully cold.]

Repent for thou crimes against Man and God both, you dishonorable louse!

[He's loosely making fun of the missionaries who try to raid Tortuga with their pseudo interpretation of the good Lord's book. Jack doesn't believe in any of that junk, not at all.

He's a pirate. Well, a pirate dressed as a mermaid but still a pirate.]

[A loud and very sleepy yawn escapes Jack as he starts to come to. His head is positively pounding and every bone in his body aches terribly. His feet are killing him and even his poor nose is sore. He looks groggy as hell, almost if he needs a cup of coffee or something strong. Nevertheless, Jack was woefully unprepared for the ghastly sight before him.

Terribly unprepared.]

AHHHH!?!!

[A less than masculine shriek escapes the poor man once he sees the ghoul before him. Jack scrambles off the couch a little too quickly only to be hit by a sudden wave of nausea that knocks him into his ass again. He falls back onto the sofa, sprawled against the thick pillows while rubbing his aching forehead.]

...nngh. Too much rum.

[A hiss of disappointment escapes Jack once the ice cold water hits his lips. He glares into the cup angrily before zooming in on Kaneki like some malevolent hornet. The singing comes to a screeching halt once Jack holds up his hand like some sort of maestro at an orchestra.]

MISTER KANEKI!

[Uh oh! Jack's voice has that alarming authoritative edge to it.]

Care to explain the lack of spirits in this pitiful plastic glass?
