10/04 - micro pig on the run
[After much deliberation, Otabek had decided to get a pet. He had the spare time to take care of an animal and he didn't have to worry about leaving it for long periods when skating took him out of the country. His job and life were here in Heropa, for the most part, and he was back every day. Going to the shelter, he had let the animal pick him.
He walked around with Yuri nearby, stopped now and then, but when he reached the cage with five little pigs inside, he paused. There was an all black piglet sitting right by the gate, looking up at him. Serious. When the volunteer opened it up and took him out for Otabek to see, he brushed him with his fingers and the piglet fell to his side and went to sleep. He was smitten instantly. Taking him home, after buying supplies, he names him Treble Phatbeats Altin with the help of Yuri and Viktor.
A few days later he learns that while Phatbeats is typically a serious and quiet pig, he goes through bouts of extreme energy. Running to and fro and right out the door that Otabek had yet to shut. He's fast. Darting outside and down the street while his frazzled father chases him.]
Treble Phatbeats Altin, get back here!
[Watch out, he likes to hide between people's legs.]
10/06 - 10/07 - is that a sidecar
[Otabek makes the decision to be happy in all aspects of his life and to not worry about money so much. He'd never had to back home but now that he works a lower salary job, it's more of an issue. He doesn't let it be. He gets his pet and his motorcycle and lets himself enjoy it. He gets his motorcycle from a man named Kavinsky and they discuss what to do when he wants to take more than one passenger.
Then he rides that baby around town. He'd missed it. The freedom, the way it felt, and his first two stops are to pick up Yuri and Yusuke. Not necessarily together at first, but eventually he attaches the sidecar. He's in such a good mood he offers rides to anyone that needs one.]
ooc - wildcard
[Otabek has a new pet and finally saved up for a motorcycle. He'll be driving around Heropa so feel free to bump into him anywhere or text him and ask for a ride.]

10/6
Beka! Why didn't you tell me you finally got one?
no subject
I wanted to surprise you, Yura.
[He tips his chin down expectantly, waiting for a proper greeting.]
Would you like to go for a ride?
no subject
No shit I'd like to go for a ride. It's a good surprise.
no subject
Just like before, yes?
[Arms around his waist, holding on tight.]
no subject
Now, however, he can really relish the thrill of a motorcycle ride properly—a ride made even better now that he's keenly aware of the feel of Otabek under his hands.]
Where are we going?
no subject
Nowhere or anywhere. The destination is your decision.
[He had no plans. Otabek would drive until one or both of them wanted to stop.]
Any place in mind, Yuri, or should I just go?
no subject
[It was definitely too cold for a swim, but that didn't mean they couldn't enjoy the view. Or maybe even find a nice seaside restaurant to enjoy.]
no subject
[He hasn't been past the beach since he first arrived. Even though they can't swim, they can walk or find something else to do while they're there. Otabek pulls Yuri's arms until he's holding him snugly and then turns on the bike, easing out onto the road.]
no subject
Thanks for taking me out like this. It's a nice surprise.
pre-10/5 some time!!
this mechanical monster, sleek, a shade more intense than ice-blue, is an entirely different marvel. she shines in the sun, all aerodynamic facets, low-riding, promising to clock truly ridiculous speeds.] Comes with a sidecar too. I was gonna take a kid out on a date, but I thought better. You wanna give her a spin?
no subject
I need two helmets.
[He runs his hand down the side and swings a leg over, kicking the stand up and getting comfortable. His hands grip the bar and he leans forward, picturing how it would feel with a passenger.]
Will you get on behind me? I want to know if it works comfortably for two.
[Beka might be the one riding it daily but he had to be certain it would work for them all.]
no subject
second helmet, ready. he claps it on his head. it feels a little redundant, considering he's entirely invincible for things like this, but pretending to be a model citizen means: pretending to be a model citizen.] You already have your license? [he asks, stepping up behind the other boy. he slings one long, skinny leg over the other side of the machine, a hand coming up to otabek's hip.] I'm asking late 'cause I'm not actually worried.
[it's the truth. see: invincibility. also: enjoying the company of rule-breakers.]
no subject
I had one back home.
[Which isn't really answering the question, but it's not the truth either. He hadn't even thought to get his license here. Beka hadn't considered that he'd need to but it made sense that he would. Sighing, he decides that it's not really breaking any rules. He reaches back for Kavinsky's hands and places them firmly at his hips, pushing his fingers so that they grip tightly.]
You must hold on, yes?
[He doesn't know about the invisible part.]
no subject
and in any other universe, it would lead to bad things. but now kavinsky's just slinging his arms around the other man's waist, climbing aboard.] I'm holding on, [he promises. it's been awhile since he rode bitch, but he hasn't forgotten how, settling in behind the other man, thighs up snug. he knows enough to keep his head far back enough from otabek's that their helmets aren't going to bang together.]
Sweet of you to worry, [he says, blithely. it's true. otabek is a good boy. he should probably hang out with other good boys.]
10.7
His neatly done hair is definitely about to get blown all over the place. ]
It's about time you made good on your promise, Beka.
no subject
Yusuke.
[He reaches for the spare helmet, and slides his glasses back down. When Yusuke gets close he angles himself on the bike and sets the helmet on his head, adjusting the straps. With a small smile, he tugs the man in and kisses him.]
Get on. [Beka shifts forward in his seat and helps Yusuke straddle the bike, pulling his hands around and settling them low on his stomach.] Hold tight.
no subject
Where are you taking me?
no subject
Everywhere. We'll ride until we have to stop.
[He had no destination. Possibly only pausing to take a break so Yusuke's legs could adjust or if the view was too good to pass up on.]
Ready?
no subject
[ Trying something new and pressing himself against Otabek at the same time? Yes, please and thank you. Yusuke's hands settle low around his waist, holding him tight his his chest pressed warm against his back. ]
I am ready when you are.
no subject
[Otabek starts the bike and slowly takes off down the road. The speed is steady, allowing for Yusuke to familiarize himself with the way it feels.
When he's done a few laps around the quieter, less busy parts of Heropa, he speeds up and merges onto the busier stretches of road. Shifting in Yusuke's arms to make sure he's paying attention, he pushes the bike as fast as it can go.]
no subject
It's exhilarating, especially as the speed increases, and Yusuke holds his boyfriend even tighter. When he speaks, it's more like shouting, as unusual as it is for him to raise his voice, there's no other way for him to be heard over the roar of the engine. ]
How fast does it go?
10/4
Otabek? Is this cutie yours?
no subject
He is.
[A hand on his side to catch his breath, he stops right beside Viktor.]
His name is Treble. Once he starts running, he will not stop for anything.
no subject
Treble? Sounds a lot like trouble! Very aptly named.
no subject
[He had thought the name amusing, though he hadn't realized just how much trouble the pig was until he'd had him a few days. Otabek is pleased that Treble seems to like Makkachin, since they'll be around each other a lot.]
Sit with me, Viktor?
no subject
Sure! Makkachin and I were just out for a walk anyway.
no subject
no subject
[ He takes the open space next to Otabek, turned towards Otabek to talk. Makkachin comes too though she's more interested in sniffing at Treble and bumping against Otabek's legs than listening to them talk. ]
We don't, do we? Though I suppose I never spent much time with other skaters back home either.
no subject
I think he was holding back for my sake. [Which is just an assumption on his end. Yuri helped and the suggestions were tailored more towards what Otabek would like.] Neither did I.
Yura was the first skater I sought out.
[And he was happy with how that has gone.]
I'd like us to be friends.
no subject
Really?
no subject
Yes, of course. [He tips his head.] Unless that isn't what you want.
no subject
Yes, I'd like to be friends too.
no subject
Then we will be friends.
[All in all, he isn't very experienced with this. Yuri and Yusuke are the only people he's bluntly asked to be his friends. Now Viktor.]
We should get to know each other.
no subject
Mmm! How should we do that?
no subject
We start by spending time together. Telling each other about ourselves.
no subject
Really? That's it? It seems so easy when it's laid out like that.
no subject
It doesn't have to be hard.

It sounds kind of like me. I had to take a break from skating to find out what really mattered.
no subject
[He still skates for fun and exercise.]
Will you compete here?
no subject
I thought about it, but it's really difficult here. Even more difficult because we're imPorts and get caught up in everything.
