We Are The Cool Patrol [Closed]
WHO: Akira Kurusu and Various!
WHERE: All over, mostly Heropa and Nonah
WHEN: Throughout September
WHAT: Catch-All
WARNINGS: Teens getting into some not-quite-legal trouble! Mostly of the theivery and smuggling variety, others TBA
A. Closed to Junseo
[After the break in and vandalism most of their stuff had been alright, but the couch had seen better days, so now it was time to go out and get another one. It'd taken some maneuvering, but eventually Akira had managed to borrow a truck and rope Junseo into helping him transport a couch. Was it gotten from a particularly reputable place? No, but it was pretty affordable, and Akira figured the worst they'd have to deal with was it not being very comfortable. Or you know. Clean. Those things could be dealt with, though, and so there they were, ready to transport it.
Akira stood on one side of the couch as it sat outside, only awaiting someone to assist in lifting it into the bed of the truck.]
Hey, Junseo, think you could help me get it up in there? I could lift it that high if I need to, but I could use the help on the other end to push it.
[He knew very little about his quite oblivious friend, really, other than that he didn't eat... food. He kind of hoped he had some kind of super strength, but if he didn't, then Akira could PROBABLY lift the couch himself if he put his whole body into it. Or just summoned his Persona, really. He had to wonder if Junseo would even notice. He could probably get him to turn around for a second if he really needed to.]
B. Closed to Yuri
[It had taken him a little looking to find a good place for this, but he often explored Nonah after work. It'd be normal enough to anyone who had been keeping tabs on Akira(not that he thought anyone really WAS) that he went on a short nighttime walk after work. To cool down, and to satiate his curiosity, he supposed. This night, he'd made sure to shoot a text to Yuri before he got off the clock.
Heya! If you can meet me outside of the Nonah Porter tonight, that'd be great! Make sure to bring Fang.
That was his very clever way to say 'don't forget your costume because this is definitely illegal and we should try not to let our faces get seen'. You know, just in case.
Either way, he was hoping Yuri would show up in cat form, but wasn't going to tell him to do that over text. Push comes to shove, they could duck out of view and then both change. He leaned against a building outside of where the Porter was housed, in an easy line of sight so that Yuri wouldn't miss him, checking his phone in case he got a message back from him. After all, he might be busy today!
Akira had some hope though, he was fairly excited to do this, not having had much of an excuse to break into places in like... at least a month? And he'd never taught anyone else himself. He pulled a leg up to tap his toe against the sidewalk, eyes flicking up to look at the doors to the Porter's building once more in anticipation.]

Well hello there!
[He had to talk to him like he was, you know, a cat while people were around. He looked up for a quick glance around before he headed off, knowing Yuri would follow as he stole his way between some buildings. Nonah was a big enough city and it was dark out, so few people would notice as some kid dressed in grey and a cat disappeared into the night.
As soon as he was sure they weren't being watched, he changed his outfit in a flash of blue flames.]
I haven't had a lot of time to practice since I got here, so we're gonna try not to get caught on our way.
...You've got the advantage.

He almost forgets to keep his mouth shut when Akira explains the intial plan. He's about to speak when he catches himself and lets out a little chirp of a meow instead, tail flicking in irritation. Instead, he winks and stands up with a lazy stretch, watching Akira to lead the way.]

He had to take a lot of care when crossing the streets, seeing as how he'd appear extremely suspicious as a man in a long black jacket. A burnt out streetlight was a blessing that he needed to note mentally.
It doesn't take long for them to make it to the building he'd found that was perfect for this, and he waved Yuri over to a window on the side of the house when they got near. Silently, he motioned for him to watch as he pulled out a screwdriver and just took it apart in order to get in. Lockpicking would be better done out of the view of prying eyes.
And like. When he could explain it verbally.]

He hops inside once the barrier's been removed and saunters out of the way so Akira can come through too.]
It's safe to talk now, right?
no subject
Mostly looks like it's back in place, then turning to nod at Yuri.]
Yup. This place is empty and the neighbors won't be able to hear.
[He smiles then, pocketing his screwdriver and looking around, making his way toward the front door.]
You know, we used to have a talking cat on our team. They used to be able to lockpick, even with little cat paws.
no subject
Yusuke mentioned him. Morgana, right? I don't think my paws will be any good for lockpicking though... [He puts his paw back down and scampers to catch up.]
I'll change back when it's time for me to practice.
no subject
Yeah. He was the first Phantom Thief, and taught us everything we know. [With the door open, he locked it again, kneeling in front of the door and motioning for Yuri to come in closer. He could watch in cat form from his shoulder or just turn back. That was up to him.]
Lockpicking is easy once you learn to do it, but it's a little bit of a curve to learning. Here. You have to use the pick to move the tumblers into place. [Akira started with a demonstration, carefully maneuvering the pick in the keyhole, slower than usual so that he could be seen in the darkness. When it was done, he turned the knob carefully, showing how it had unlocked.]
no subject
How long did it take you to learn how to do it?
A.
Mentioning that he does, in fact, have super strength after being asked to move a couch might have been handy information.
He's not making it overly obvious as he shuffles over to grab onto one end of the couch with both hands, and hoist it up. Sure, Junseo made that look effortless, but a regular guy who works out on the daily could probably manage the same thing. At least he seems capable of helping out, even if he needs to have simple instructions repeated to him multiple times. ]
In the trunk?
[ Of course in the truck. Where else would it go? Junseo frowns down at the couch after he asks that question. Even he's aware of the fact that he just asked a pretty dumb question. ]
no subject
Yup, just right up here.
[It was a silly question, but at this point Akira was almost expecting it. The guy was super spacey.]
We'll count to three, and then I'll pick it up on my end, and you can get it on yours, alright?
[He leaned forward to try and get hold of the couch once more. This wasn't something he was GREAT at, but at the least, he was decent at directing others. Usually.]
no subject
He gives a small nod. The one thing Junseo is great at is falling instructions... most days. ]
Yeah! I can do that.
