; NILL
With him, kaneki brought a bento that he made for Nill, and also a bit of cheesecake for her to eat later. Hopefully she'll like the surprise.
When he gets to the sanctuary, he asks for the girl, and patiently waits for her. She'll be his guide for the day, of course ]

Not just his presence, but also some food. Kaneki rises his hand to give her the bag with the bento and the dessert ] I brought you this, for when you get hungry.

But now the coffee shop seems package sometimes during the day. Support from the natives has become more clear, as to apologize for what happened to kaneki's café, and though some comment they'd rather if he didn't sell blood, they aren't angry and seem to understand that "vampires have to eat too, right?" (Kaneki isn't a vampire, but he won't correct them).
Ever since the Swear-out it became public knowledge Kaneki sold blood (they don't know he sells more than that. If they did, they wouldn't be this understanding, kaneki is certain), and more stricter rules had to be applied at the coffee shop (only imports allowed, and they might be asked to show their file to prove they need it) - otherwise, whoever asks for it will be refused right away.
Which is what Kaneki is doing right now, trying to explain the man that he is NOT providing blood to natives and no, he can't try some ] Sir, this is for imPorts only, the government does not allow me to provide blood to natives. [ he insists again and Kaneki sighs ] If you ask a bloodbank, they will tell you "no". Assume it works the same way here, it's not- [ and nope, the man is not moving. He wants "his bloodwine".
This is what happens when weirdos walk in your cannibal coffee shop ]

Kaneki selling blood hadn't really bothered him even back when it was still a secret, and now that it was public knowledge, he still just could not care less. What did bother him, however, was walking into the cafe for the first time in a week or two and seeing a native treat the whole place like some kind of circus. Iwai takes in the scene and briefly considers just leaving and coming back later, but seeing how uncomfortable Kaneki is... Iwai doesn't just want to leave him all alone, here. So - he walks up and just immediately grabs the native by the collar. ]
He said no, buddy. [ The native yelps in surprise, but Iwai just stares at him, bored, then shoots a quick sympathetic glance at Kaneki, like he's sorry he has to deal with people like this. But with an air that indicates Iwai's all too used to ejecting rowdy customers from somewhere, Iwai starts dragging the native out the door - only for the native to squirm and yell and kick a table while trying to get out of Iwai's grip. Iwai laughs, suddenly angry as hell at this guy for being so god damn disrespectful. Nah, that ain't happening.
Infuriated, Iwai pulls on the native's collar and straight up drags him to the front door, rougher than he probably should be. He literally throws the guy out, and the native staggers and trips, falling onto his hands and knees. He stands up and starts yelling at Iwai, but Iwai just stares down at him, intimidating him into shutting the hell up, and... the native leaves, grumbling under his breath. Iwai sighs, heads back inside and takes a seat at the counter, tired. ]
You're gonna need to hire security, kid. At least until all this blows over. Natives are gonna treat you like a sideshow act for a while.
no subject
I am the security. But after what happened last weeks, I didn't want to... well, do that. [ he wanted to be as calm as possible, in order to avoid someone grabbing a brick and throwing it at his window AGAIN. Kaneki would rather not have to clean up the whole shop, specially when there are clients inside ]
... how have you been, iwai-san?

; MIKA
These are new rules Kaneki implemented to the coffee shop, necessary too, given now people know he sells blood (they don't know he sells more than that). He, of course, has given the access code to all the people he knows who have a special diet, so they can come inside the Private area whenever they need.
Later at night, Kaneki is currently inside the private area, sitting on a chair at the counter, labeling bloodwine bottles he prepared the week before. The labels usually have the blood-type and any particular change (for example, if it's rich in sugar, or fat, depending on who donated it), just in case anyone happens to be picky about that sort of thing - Kaneki isn't, he can't tell the difference between types of blood, but some ghouls certainly could; maybe vampires can too. ]
no subject
Remembering that Yuu has a sweet tooth, Mika takes a deep breath, gaze lingering on the blood wines for a long moment. He places his palms on the counter, swallowing his pride.]
Do you have any sweeter ones?
no subject
You mean blood, right? [ or... is it bloodwine? ]

; NIKO
Though Kaneki is a bit unsure if Niko will use it to punch random people. he seriously hopes not ]
Do you have any sort of experience with this?
no subject
[He shakes his head, hands in pockets. Normally, he'd claim that he had, but Kaneki is making an effort to teach him, and Niko needs to make an effort to at least be honest enough.]
Most of what I know was learned by rough-housing with school mates.
[More like bullying them, but. Details.]
no subject
alright. Do you want to learn how to use a weapon- [ not guns, but kaneki can teach him to use a stick as a sword, if necessary ] or hand to hand combat?
And do you want to involve your powers in this?
; TINA
When there is finally a slow time, Kaneki finally has the chance to grab a book at sit down to read it peacefully, while he takes a sip of his coffee. ]

Overall it's quiet and peaceful, though, and Kaneki can be found either teaching his employees how to make coffee or latte art, or can be found at a table, drinking his own coffee while he reads for a bit. Which is where he is, right now - however he does pay attention if any client comes by. it's still work hours, after all ]

Book-laden bag slung over one shoulder, a bell chimes as he steps through the door of the cafe with a smile that turns positively radiant when he rests his eyes on the owner. ]
Well, if it isn't Ken Kaneki! [ Like it's really any surprise, but details. ] Guten Tag, my friend. How are things these days? More peaceful with far fewer vandals skulking around, I hope.

; D33
Kaneki ended up having no choice but to invite D33 to go watch a movie with him. he is by no means a cinema fan, but it seems that D33 isn't used to the most common things and Kaneki is set to show him those. He has to live a little.
So they decided they'd meet in front of Heropa's theater. kaneki would pay for their tickets, but since he doesn't know the movies showing, D33 is the one who will pick the movie he wants to watch based on the title and the movie poster. if D33 doesn't like it, it won't be kaneki's fault - but hey, at least the other can get popcorn and a drink to go with it ]
no subject
the MoM equivalent to Twilight for those of you that don't know).[Sounds halfway interesting, right? So, they get their tickets - Kaneki has insisted on paying for some reason. D33 pays for his own food at the concession stand (which, let's be real, is the most exciting part of this adventure so far), taking the employees recommendations of the best candies and drinks ("What in the world is a "Slushee?") and, of course, some popcorn - what's a movie without popcorn? Oh so he'd been told, anyway.
[Once all that's done, he turns to Kaneki with a short nod, waiting for him to lead the way into their theater. So far, it's been a rather pleasant outing - something that D33 finds a bit surprising given his usual aversion to a.) leaving his house and b.) social activities. But, as it is, he has been becoming a bit more comfortable with Kaneki as of later, and, whether or not he can admit it to himself even, it's kind of nice to have someone to spend time with here and again. Even if that someone is your boss.
[Forever grateful that Kaneki isn't the type to bring up old embarrassments, by the way.]

; DUO
Today it's his day off (most likely he will still come, though), so Kaneki will be the one approaching the man with a smile and a menu which he will offer to Duo ]
Welcome to the shop. I'll be your waiter today.
no subject
[Of course, when he walked in to get his usual black coffee and a snack, it was usually just a cover to bother D33, his little self-appointed project who had started working there. Duo's powers made it especially easy to come in and give the kid a healthy dose of forced conversation every so often- after all, none of the other staff or customers could tell he was there. But Duo wasn't totally without manners; the proprietor had seemed especially close with D33, for how close a guy like that would get with people, and after observing them once or twice, Duo made it a point to let Kaneki see him when he came in, too. By that point, he would certainly have been a recognizable regular.]
[Duo looks up from his newspaper as Kaneki approaches him, giving a flash of mild surprise for show that it wasn't his sour-faced little buddy coming to reluctantly take his order.] Ah, Deedee's not working today? I must've come on an off-day. [He flashes Kaneki a cheerful grin and takes the menu.] Service straight from the proprietor is pretty ritzy, though! Just a large black coffee and a bagel for me. Cream cheese on the side. How's things around here?

; MK
When he arrives to the meeting spot, Kaneki turns off his communicator and waits. he doesn't need too much light (ghouls can see well enough in the dark) and he stays still, listening to any sound (again, ghouls are at advantage about that). He may be willing to risk it, but he is ready to fight if something happens. ]

this was not safe. So few things were. In some ways, she had almost been relieved when the Doctor left, because she had been overly familiar with him, allowed him to know the name that went with her face. He was nice, she had trusted him, but that did not mean he was safe (from danger, from being a danger).
This was a different situation, but the impending anniversary of what happened looms fresh in her mind.
She has been in the meeting place a long while. She has the advantage of her powers allowing her to melt into the shadows, but she is not eager to let someone know what her power is. MK's fingers twitch, and she becomes solid as she steps out of an exceptionally dark stretch of shadows, a little behind Kaneki.
The echo and rumble of trains in other tunnels are surprisingly loud, from time to time.
The Wizard is a young woman, a teenager, with a mask pulled down over her face. The features are exaggerated and a little alarming, the skin a little green, the eyes dark, obscuring her own. When she speaks, there is a voice modulator - it warps and distorts her accent, a little. )
