WHO: Kaneki, Dooku, Jacob, Raina, Adachi, Luke, Sabriel, Wanda, Kang, Futaba, Jorah, Charles, Erik, Kanaya, Yusuke, Daryl and Andrew
WHERE: HSTLP LTD facilities, Richmond, Virginia
WHEN: 21st August
WHAT: Heaven Scent raid, baby!
WARNINGS: Violence, destruction, blood, possible death
The address will lead them to a large, nondescript industrial complex filled with manual labourers, including people working the night shift to provide common goods like pre-packed lunches, stuffed animals, handheld fans and other dubiously titled luxury goods. Infiltrators may note that conditions in these factories look less than ideal (the workers sure look tired), but that’s none of their concern for the moment. The address they received will lead them to a large, windowless factory which has the vague label of HSTLP LTD. slathered across it in peeling paint. If they google this name, they won’t find anything - it’s clearly just a name that’s suitably boring enough that people don’t do a whole lot of asking after them!
After some observation they will notice a large covered truck drive through the garage, and as they peer through the closing door, they will see a number of people filing out of it, as if in a daze. We encourage you to include as many other players in this as possible, because they will then be tasked with storming the factory to destroy their DNA samples and all remaining clones in various stages of growth.
Upon infiltration, they will see that unlike other Heaven’s Scent locations, they haven’t bothered keeping up the facade of offices; this place is laboratories, all the way down, complete with imPocreats in tanks (similar to the ones found in OTO, fancy that!), and a variety of vague humanoid figures kept in tanks. Some of these humanoid figures have notable mutations both like and unlike imPorts; some varieties have several eyes, for example, while others are humanoid with an assortment of scales that have overtaken their face, covering their eyes and nostrils, not unlike a splice between one of the draconic imPorts and a human being. Some of these clones are in the beginning stages of being born, and are curled in the fetal position, while others are still little more than small clusters of cells. Regardless, these clones are largely non-sentient, and the ones that are sentient are no more sentient than one would expect to find in a household pet.
But, of course, there are complications. On top of your typical security guards and security systems (there are cameras, motion sensors, etc.), Heavens Scent has a very particular kind of defense. Which is to say: more clones! Unlike the ones currently roaming the streets, these clones are largely dissimilar to imPorts and are completely hairless and free of any defining features such as birthmarks, scars, etc., and are dressed simply in grey jumpsuits. While they do have access to artillery, they have something better: access to the powers outlined HERE. You may use the powers outlined and mix and match at your convenience - whatever happens to serve the narrative best, we sign off on.
There will be a team of fifteen scientists in the building as well. Ten of them will be useless and easily killed/detained, but five of them seem to have experimented on themselves. Their descriptions go as thus:
SCIENTIST ONE: Has black, painful looking markings that stretch out from either corner of his mouth towards his ears. The inside of his mouth looks as though he has gained frostbite repeatedly, and all his speech is slurred. He is capable of breathing fire and poisonous gas.
SCIENTIST TWO: Has flaps of skin growths over his body, and a large tumour over his right eye. He has regenerative abilities and, it seems, his body regenerates too quickly for him to control. In order to kill him, he will need to be either burned alive or beheaded.
SCIENTIST THREE: Has growths coming out of her neck that periodically open and close - think gills! She has the ability of a power nullification field, and should be disposed of as quickly as possible.
SCIENTIST FOUR: Essentially looks like she’s been on some very serious steroids for a number of years! She has enough superstrength to lift a car above her head, and is not above throwing entire tanks at foes, even if there’s still a clone inside. Oops!
SCIENTIST FIVE: Has no essential physical differences that can be seen with the naked eye, but has powers of mind control, and can turn imPorts against each other. Again, this is an individual best disposed of early!
They will not, notably, find the CEO here or, in fact, anywhere in America - she left the country well before all of this nonsense began.
Finally, they will be given the okay by the government to storm the base. They will be instructed to keep destruction and death to a minimum but it will be very, very heavily inferred that should it be necessary to destroy the whole base and everyone inside it, they will face no penalization because of it.
There will be workers in the factories surrounding them. More of them will be present during the day, but they all have night shift workers as well. Should the fight exit the factory itself, they will be instructed to keep casualties to a minimum, and to evacuate those premises if necessary.

[ Erik has been twisting around some of the metal infrastructure to imprison the clones more than he's actually tried to fight them; he dodges offensive powers with skill, and it helps that he can, you know. Fly.
He's in the middle of his groove when he turns around upon seeing red light, and when he spots where it comes from, Erik's face darkens. He descends melodramatically towards it, upon seeing its familiar hand gestures, and, not content to cuff this clone, wraps a pipe around its neck as if to make a twist tie, and pulls to behead it.
He looks visibly shaken. ]
DNA DESTROYING
[ Erik rifles through the files to stow away as much as he can. What other information do these people have? What information might someone else who isn't in this building know? He needs assurance that this can't happen again, that this information is not only erased but lost to anyone else. It'll be safer to know what exactly everyone knows.
But in the meantime, he smashes up some samples, setting them on fire to render them completely useless. ]
SCIENTIST 5
[ When members of the team start to turn on each other, Erik's momentarily distracted trying to stop them from getting hurt, and it doesn't take a genius to figure out that they've got a telepath. He looks over the crowd specifically for Charles, but any telepath will do, and gestures to them since his telepathic shields are down. ]
That one?
[ He mutters, nodding his chin up towards a balcony of some sort. ]
DNA
This isn't the end of it. Even if Heaven Scent is taken to pieces, there's still the OTO to deal with. And why were they experimenting on imPorcreats?
Re: DNA
They want to build weapons that don't get a free will. Weapons with our powers, which is what the clones are about.
This happened back on my world, they managed to steal our powers. Experiment on us.
I won't see that happen again.
[ Which is why he's going to try his hardest to raze this place. ]

scientist
He refocuses his efforts from trying to distract their opponents and evacuating the civilians to the balcony in question and gives it a nudge with his mind. His brows furrow and chin tilts down as he is bounced back with a jolt. ]
Yes. That is the one.
[ He leaves the mind of the telepath alone, it's much easier if Erik handles it, and instead focuses on the people they're trying to control, trying to extend his area of influence over the rest of the combatants on their side and shielding them from the telepath. ]
Re: scientist
[ Erik doesn't know how strong his shields are, but he believes that Charles is stronger than this guy, especially if he's going to split his attention.
Still, he'll be able to feel Erik coming, if he feels like a void.
Of course plenty of clones try to get in the way to make sure Erik doesn't get to that scientist, and Erik starts to notice as they pile up. ]

[ Is it a dead giveaway that Yusuke, disguised behind his Fox mask and accompanying Phantom Thief getup, stops in front of the test tubes to stare?
He could find the beauty in any person, any place, any idea. Or so he thought. He had expressed pity towards the clones before, even his own, even with as much damage and heartache as they caused, but this...this is just grotesque. Born and bred just to be weapons, they are no more people than the demons he had fought back home, the same in appearance, but fundamentally different by design. Through no fault of their own. Yusuke's hands reach out to tap the glass on a test tube, it looks like an adolescent girl, no bigger than Futaba, covered in patchy bits of fur and scales as if her body can't decide which it prefers. A failed experiment.
And in a flash, he summons his Persona, Goemon, a hulking, supernatural samurai soul-creature, and with a slam of its pipe against the glass, it shatters. ]
2. dive straight in; computer room
[ He doesn't know what he's doing in here.
Stealing things?
He's prying open the backs of computers and taking out what he understands to be the hard drive, based on a diagram Oracle made up for him in between exasperated sighs. It's sloppy, but it's quick, and getting in and out before anyone from the Constellation notices what he's doing in here is the objective.
...he's taking the shimmering snow globe off this desk, too, and nearly knocking into someone when he reaches for his bag to put it in. ]
My apologies. Am I in your way?
3. fall out and take the bait; scientist 4 - Futaba + Adachi
[ Ideally, missions like these would be done with people you trust and like and don't have nightmares about.
Nothing about Yusuke's life is ideal though, so...here he is, teamed up with Adachi again. At least they have Futaba as a buffer between them, and as support in case things get out of hand. So far, so good. It's like training in Mementos, almost. There's something reassuring about taking something on with other Persona users again, as small as the team may be and as strained as the relationships are.
That reassurance is over as soon as they step foot into the next laboratory. It's big, but dark, as if the power's been cut to everything but the tanks of gestating monstrosities, but a quick look around reveals that there is no overhead lighting to be cut. Either by design, or someone's made off with the fixtures for...reasons? It's quiet. Eerie, the only source of light the electric blue glow coming from the tanks, almost the same color as Necronomicon's orbs...interesting.
His hands come up in front of his mask to frame Goemon's shadow, cast against the wall from that dull, unnatural light, when he hears...something rustling around on the other side of the room. ]
Did you hear that?
#3 Obviously
Futaba trailed a few steps behind the other two, willing to let them take point since she was utilizing Necronomicon in minimalist mode. She felt exposed, wandering the labs in her phantom thief outfit rather than floating above in the safety of Necronomicon. But there were other teams here, Constellation members among them. It was better to not expose all of her abilities in this setting. She could deal with the uncomfortable feeling settling in her gut.
She's hesitant to pull up her display in the dimly lit room, given the sound that had caught their attention, but she needed a full readout. It's up in a flash, the green glow surrounding her as numbers and stats flew across the displays.]
There's only one but...these numbers--[She's cut off when there's a screeching, metallic sound, and the display goes dark as she falls back behind the others more fully.] Strong. The enemy is a strong one.
no subject
[ That metal screech tore his attention away from his inner thoughts, and his left hand went to his ear in pain while his right reached out, his Arcana card appearing over his hand. The increased blue glow threw even wilder shadows over the room, but illuminated just enough for them to see something large and heavy looking being moved away from the wall in a way that it should not have been able to by normal means. ]
[ And then it was thrown in their direction like a softball. ]
Get down!
[ Yusuke could take care of himself, so he turned his attention to Futaba, reaching out for her as he already started running to get the hell out of the way. ]

Jacob's looking pretty hardcore as the team assembles before beginning the infiltration of the facility. He's wearing black and gray armour with a utility belt across his waist, a protective visor lowered over his face, and carrying a fair few guns that he checks with methodical, experienced exactitude before he stands up to address the other imPorts.
"All right, this is it," he says. "Once we start this, there's no turning back. We're going in deep, we're going in hard, and we're not stopping until this place is taken down. If anybody needs anything, now's the time to talk about it."
He's not formally a leader on this mission, but he has military experience and has been on more suicide missions than he ever planned on. That leaves him feeling qualified and obligated to step up.
2. Factory Evacuation
This factory looks like a shitty place to work. The air is stuffy, the lighting flickers, and Jacob sees little in the way of first aid stations, fire control systems, or places to rest as he infiltrates. It looks like the OTO cut corners on treating people right so they could have more money to spend on clone schemes.
Jacob isn't a stealth expert, but right now he doesn't need to be: with their intel on the facility and ability to hack the security cameras, Jacob is able to roam the halls undetected, avoiding patrols and alarms. But the real benefit is that he has a good idea of how many people he needs to get out of here.
The only problem is they are supposed to take everyone into custody for questioning as well as evacuate them, so Jacob is 'rescuing' civilians from the battle by putting them in handcuffs. He doesn't like it. He tells himself they need to account for everyone in the chaos, and that they don't really know who's an innocent worker and who is part of the broader conspiracy. But Jacob still doesn't feel very heroic when he's forcing the hands of a tired janitor behind his back and binding them.
Once everybody in the factory is taken care of, they'll be herded out of the building toward a pre-designated rally point marked by flares, where they'll wait until the main operation is concluded.
3. Combat
Inevitably, Jacob's luck doesn't hold out. By the time most of the workers have been evacuated, alarms have started going off elsewhere in the complex and things are starting to explode. Jacob ends up facing a squad of armed security guards in the middle of the factory floor, surrounded by still-running machines and conveyor belts abandoned by the night shift.
Jacob raises his arms, shows them his badge. "Put down your weapons," he orders. "This raid is authorized by the government- I've got orders to take everyone here in-"
They start shooting. Jacob takes the first volley of bullets on his biotic barrier, then ducks behind a machine for cover and starts shooting back with his 'stunner' energy gun. He'll try to take this group alive if he can, but if they push him too far he won't hesitate to switch to his heavier weapons.
1
"If you need a weapon, we brought some additional ones- if they do have a nullifier device, make sure you either have one and know how to use it or can fight without your powers."
no subject
He gives a sidelong look at the gun on Sabriel's belt. He doesn't think he's seen her use a firearm before. It's a new side of her. To Jacob, it feels like not very long ago that he was seeing her react to taking a life for the first time, while fighting the Soviets.

Even over the noise of the shooting Andrew's voice can be heard, tinged with amusement. He's taken position in the air, almost directly over Jacob's hiding spot. He doesn't seem to be worried about being hit in the least, out in the open as he is.
Instead, as soon as the volleying of bullets turns in his direction, giving Jacob an opening, his hands glow with the light of his summoned solar energy which he promptly begins blasting in the direction of the security guards. The energy is bright and hot, more then enough to kill if that's what Andrew wanted to do. Instead, rather than targeting the guards, he targets spots around them, causing them to scatter in a panic, and a few to drop their weapons.
"Now, if that doesn't get them to surrender, we'll have to re-think our position on keeping them alive."
no subject
Jacob sighs the sigh of someone who has been in too many shootouts with too many henchmen. He has never seen Andrew before, but clearly this guy has good powers: after he's disarmed and scattered the guards, Jacob pops up and zaps a few more of them with his stunner, knocking them out. Not all of them are down either, or ready to give up.
"It would just be nice if people like this would do the smart thing once in a while, you know?" He continues, sweeping the area for more targets with his weapon raised. "Just once I'd like to tell someone to drop their weapon and have them actually drop it."

Count Dooku walks into the cloning facility as though he owns it, cape swirling dramatically around him as the strides forth. Many blank, grey-suited, heavily-armed and empowered clones beg to differ about this. One of them hoists a grenade launcher and fires.
Dooku raises a hand. The grenade halts in mid-air, smoking. Dooku points. The grenade reverses course and flies backwards. The explosion is shattering, and the impact is intense. Clones tumble to the ground, debris flies into the air- along with a few limbs severed by the blast. A cloud of smoke billows outward, washing over the Count like a wave.
But these clones have powers, and quite a few are still standing after the grenade blast. The smoke abruptly stops, then runs backwards like a film being rewound. It's being gathered up by a particular clone wearing an odd set of sunglasses.
The Count draws his lightsaber. Its humming red glow casts sinister shadows on the walls of the factory. He speaks to whoever is with him in a low voice. "These creatures were created for our destruction," he intones as he raises his sword. "Do not hold back against them."
2. Demolition Time
After breaching the defenses, Dooku enters one of the basement laboratories, filled with glass tanks containing various clones and creatures the OTO has in development, amorphous figures floating in green liquid. The lab is filled with machines, computers, cables, pipes... none of it containing information that needs to be preserved for the Count's allies.
It all has to go.
Dooku stands tall, closes his eyes, and stretches his arms up over his head, reaching toward the ceiling. For a moment, nothing happens. Then there's a deep groan in the structure of the room, followed by a rumbling tremor as though from the beginnings of an earthquake. Then, shit starts to break.
The tanks rupture, gushing out green fluids and half-formed clones. Pipes burst, spraying water and steam into the air. The computers explode. Cables snap and fall onto the flooding floor. Sparks fly, smoke coils upwards. Things start to catch on fire.
Dooku opens his eyes. His face is hard and cold, as though carved from stone. Then he brings his arms down in a single mighty gesture, and the central ceiling of the lab collapses with a thunderous crash, spilling rubble and dust on top of the wreckage he has already created.
It's a good start.
3. Aftermath
A time comes when there is no one left to fight, no one left to arrest, no more information to salvage, and nothing left to destroy. The Heaven's Scent facility is in flames. The clone factory responsible for the chaos that enveloped the Porter cities has been completely obliterated.
Dooku stands at the edge of the destruction, surveying his handiwork with visible satisfaction. He looks tired, breathing a little harder after his exertions. There are dead clones at his feet, but he does not look at them. A flake of ash lands on his shoulder, marring his cape. He glances at it, then lifts a hand to idly brush it off.
He speaks, addressing no one in particular. "Of course, this is only the beginning." His voice sounds like an obituary.
1
"I do not intend to," he answers, waiting for the smoke to clear before he crouches and takes aim. He's always been a good shot, it comes as naturally to him as his speed and precision with the sword at his side. The clones that survive the blast are picked off quickly enough, but the sound of gunshots are accompanied by a loud crackling like broken glass when the bullets hit their targets, turning them into ice.
If left alone, they will melt back to normal after a few minutes, but Yusuke is quick, pouncing from frozen body to frozen body. With a single slash, targets don't just fall, they shatter into hundreds of tiny pieces. Or melt, with the satisfying softness of butter, if ones sword is made of lasers instead of steel.
no subject
"What a fine weapon you have," the Count observes, as though Yusuke is just demonstrating for his viewing pleasure. He turns to regard a nearby metal door, sensing something approaching through it- something powerful. The door glows red for a moment as a roaring sound flares behind it, then bursts open to reveal an eight-foot gold dragon crawling into the fray, with flames in its mouth and murder in its eyes.
"However, I wonder whether ice will be sufficient against that." Dooku's voice is mild, as though the dragon is an obstacle of no particular importance to him. He fought and defeated more fearsome monsters than this as a Jedi, and that was before he gained the power of the Dark Side.

Luke frowned to himself, debating for a moment, before moving to push past Dooku into the collapsed lab. If someone that wasn't a clone was alive and stuck in there, then it was important to retrieve them and turn them over to the proper authorities. Especially so if they were one of the people responsible for actually making those clones.

[Sabriel doesn't enjoy killing living things- even if the clones are doing their best to kill her, she can feel when one of them dies, despite her best efforts to ignore it. So she grits her teeth and tries to make it as quick as possible.
This plan is interrupted when a clone with a disturbingly familiar face- her face, shows up and starts whistling, as corpse after corpse struggles to its feet.]
Wrecking things
[The tendency of her magic to wreck nearby technology was mostly an inconvenience. But at the moment, it was incredibly useful. Machinery exploded into sparks, computer screens started displaying nothing but gibberish before shutting off, and anything Sabriel directly attacked with her magic was reduced to melted bits of metal and plastic that were kicked aside before she moved on.]
Gathering information
[Sabriel has several questions and suspicions, and she'd like answers. Science and technology might not be her strengths, but she's curious and observant.
And what she's learning is... worrying.][Sabriel pauses, looking deeper into the information, her expression growing darker.]
It seems once the scientists found they could give themselves powers, they were distracted from their other goals.
Clones
[Kang snorts, muttering a curse in Nerakese under his breath.]
The whistling is required, right? If we stop it, we stop more from rising.

The pretty lady in the flower dress had foregone her floral garments for once -- opting for a pair of black yoga pants and a black hoodie. Traveling with her were two muscled bodyguards, quiet and attractive young men in their mid-thirties. Raina marketed them as metahumans -- after all, they had super strength similar to metahuman abilities.
But it didn't stop her from approaching one of the imPort's sides, reaching into her bag and pulling out a bag of flower seeds. "Can you do me a favor and help spread these? I control plants. But since I don't imagine they're in the business of growing plants here -- so I have to make due with what I've got. The more seeds we spread in the hall, the more I'll be able to help."
B; Evacuating Employees/Running Into Trouble
Given the choice between two annoyances, Raina opted for the less dangerous one. And that was helping the innocents to escape. If they were reluctant, she used some of her plant seeds to grow vines and drag them down the hall to safety -- looking irritated the entire time.
Of course, even the more safe option could turn dangerous at any moment. And when one of those super powered scientists came around the corner in some horrid display of power that likely killed or seriously maimed one of the civilians she had been trying to help.
Raina's eyes widened and she took a few stumbling steps backward before catching sight of one of her fellow mission goers. Grasping them by the arm, she looked up at them intensely. "Quick. Kiss me. It'll enhance your powers."
C; Info Gathering
Of course, Raina's primary objective was to gather information. And while some of the imPorts were tangled up in the messiest fights, she was off plugging zip drives into computers to extract files. Pulling on a pair of latex gloves, she also carefully collected samples -- storing them away in a cool container for proper examination later.
