True to his word, and the name of the café, Lando is waiting outside of Don't Be Latte at noon sharp, dressed in a blue suit that's more fitting to the local fashion than what he normally wears. He reads a newspaper while he waits for his new hire to show up.

[and appear his new hire does, looking considerably less fashionable; dark, ratty-kneed jeans, a green flannel, a slightly stained t-shirt, and a pair of sneakers that have definitely seen better days. he's making an attempt at untangling his hair, running his fingers back through it, but it's sort of just making him look like a wild man instead of a functioning member of human society. teens, amirite?]

[he stops trying to groom himself when he looks up, catches the eye of the guy that looks somewhat like the guy on the network. his hands freeze in his hair, and he slowly drops them. First Impressions By Magnus Chase]

Uh, hi. Calrissian?

[ At the sound of his name, Lando looks up from his newspaper. Appraising eyes take in the sight of his potential new hire.

Well... he's worked with rascals before. ]

You must be Magnus. Please, call me Lando.

[ He tucks the paper under his arm and extends his hand for a shake. ]

Good to meet you. You're younger than I'd expected.

[Magnus isn't big on touching people he doesn't know, and he eyes the hand with a moment of hesitation before just getting over it and shaking it like a normal human. look paw, he can job interview, no problem]

Young people gotta eat too, don't they. Did I sound really mature on the network or something?

[he expected Lando to look a bit rougher, if he's being honest. since when did moving guys own suits?]

[ Lando's handshake is brief, if firm and assertive. That taken care of, he opens the door to the coffee shop and gestures for Magnus to go inside. ]

It's hard to tell a person's age, when you're talking over text. But I have no problems hiring a teenager. If you're as strong as you say you are, and you can do the work, why shouldn't I hire you?

[ Inside the coffee shop, there isn't much of a line this time of day, so Lando steps right up and orders a large hot coffee with extra milk. He peers at Magnus, waiting for him to order. ]

You know, in my galaxy, milk is blue.
