INTRO(verted)
WHO: elsa and OPEN
WHERE: wandering around heropa's residential area.
WHEN: february 14th
WHAT: trying to get acclimated. summers can get warm in arendelle, but it's never this humid.
WARNINGS: idk i might do ice puns
[there's a part of her that still thinks this to be a dream. what happened back home, what's happening right now, and while her fingers pressing against the foreign markings on her arm are some physical means of keeping her rooted in the here and now, she's still sure she'd wake up.
they had dropped her off in front of where she, supposedly, was meant to live, and while the calming serenity of four walls and a door would be welcomed, right now she needed air. nevermind her accidentally bumping into anyone, a quick glance-over of the strange invasive paperwork proved they seemed to know enough about her, and she had dropped her file on the front lawn of her house, the spine of it wet with melting ice.
but she's clutching the strange square device, mostly as a means of giving her something to hold on to as she walks a graceful yet hurried pace around the neighborhood. to an insider looking out she's a bit overdressed to be going for a noon jog, outfit glittering in the sun, and should she accidentally pass anyone on her frenzied walk they'd probably feel an uncharacteristic cool breeze cut through the usual heavy Florida air.]

ice day out
He was looking for the factory where he had to work the next week, but he wasn't quite used to the area. The streets were too uniform and organized compared to what he was used to. Kuzan scratched at the back of his head, examining the map with a perpetually bored expression plastered on his face.]
Tcch. Which way did that guy take me the first time around?

her head jerks up suddenly and she takes a defensive step back, taken out from her shock as her eyes trail alone the route of ice that had seemed just...appear out of nowhere.
part of her wonders if it was her doing, and while one hand continues to grasp at her communicator (the device slowly developing ice crystals from where she's holding it) she looks down at her empty one before looking back up.
no...it couldn't have been her. she's aware of when it happens, even when it's on accident.]
Did you do that?
no subject
Obviously, he looked at the most important thing he could see, which was definitely the map he was holding.]
Eh? No, I'm not a cartographer. I got this in my file folder. I dunno who drew this up. Looks really well done though, right?
no subject
No...no I wasn't talking about the map. [she's careful not to gesture with her hands, and instead tries to motion to the ice path with a slight motion of her head.]
The ice. I...it was you, wasn't it?
no subject
Sorry, I didn't pay attention. You didn't walk into it, did you?
no subject
[it's still said with a strange twinge to her voice, as though she's seen a ghost. the trolls knew of her powers, of course, and there had always been stories and tales of ice magic. but as far as she knew, and as far as her parents knew, she had been the only one with the curse.
suffice to say, other humans having powers is still entirely new to her. she's not even sure if she should be excited about it, although she does feel something catch.]
I just...haven't met anyone else who could do that.
no subject
You haven't met another Devil Fruit user, before? Jeez, don't look nervous. You're weirdin' me out, kiddo. We're a rarity, but not entirely.

no subject
Well, what can you do? You just might not know what the name of it is. I could probably tell.
no subject
but old habits die hard, and he's assured of his abilities while she still doesn't understand the entire potential of her self. maybe he could help, but...she shakes her head, withdrawing in on herself, composure settling.]
It's nothing important.
no subject
Ahh, wait a second. You've never eaten an awful tasting fruit before and gotten weird powers after it?
[As he relaxed, ice began to gather on his free hand, which he raised up.] I ate the Chill Chill Fruit, myself. How're you doin' it?
no subject
[she can tell he's staring at her, and his sights set on her hands makes her draw back, bringing her hands up to clasp at her chest, shaking her head.]
Doing what?
no subject
Still, he wanted to ask at least one thing.]
I'm not scary, am I?
no subject
but again she shakes her head, expression subdued.]
No. No it's not you. I'm just confused. It's been a long day.
no subject
But, you shouldn't look so glum. Cuties like you look better when you're smiling. Anyway -- [He reached up to fix his sleeping mask, bringing up a little walkway of ice for himself to ride his bike on, leading towards a nearby lake between the apartments and the offices down aways.] C'ya.

He hadn't seen her around, but apparently one of the rooms in the house he'd been assigned to belonged to her. He's not exactly a tracker, so he does his best to figure out which way she went.
The dress sort of gave her away, too, even before he could make out the blond hair and the face matching the picture in the file.
He waits until he's close enough to not need to shout before he calls out to her.]
Excuse me...Elsa? [And he raised the folder.] I think you dropped something.
no subject
she's not sure whether to approach him, and the conflict is obvious as she kind of just stays in place, hands clutching near her chest.]
Where did you get that?

( Sharon finds herself coming to a pause as she watches a new face (there are so many, there's a whole new world) moving through the residential area reserved for the newer denizens of this world. It's all very intriguing, and very frustrating, and remains so from a whole city prior.
She picks up her pace, in a light dress with nowhere near enough layers, a polite smile curling her lips upward at the corners. )
Miss? You seem all out of sorts. Are you quite all right?
no subject
but she makes no motion to stop walking, even as she answers the girl's question.]
It's nothing to worry about.

It's difficult to stay still on a day such as this, isn't it? Particularly in entirely new places.
