Well, I did have people I got along with, but looking back on it now, I don't think they qualified as most people might think of as friends. It might be more fair to call them acquaintances or just rinkmates? Being a skater isn't for everyone, even those who love it, and people come and go all the time. The closest friend I have now besides Yuuri is Chris, and he lives halfway across the world from me; I really only see him at competitions and the occasional trip to Paris for some sponsor-funded something or other.
